  • The facebook pixel will allow you to track conversion to the specified page however you will be charged from Facebook for Clicks or views depending how you set up the ad. Facebook has nothing to do with your website, so it is not going to allow payment vs acquisition. However, you can set up contact forms and shops on your actual facebook page. Either way payment occurs when a facebook user has an action with your ad.

  • Hi MissThumann, You've asked a good question, and I reached out to GetFiveStars' co-founder to be sure you were getting a good answer. Mike Blumenthal let me know that while you can add the GetFiveStars widget to the homepage, Google won't show the stars, and because of this, it's not really a recommended practice to use this widget on your homepage. That being said, you could definitely add it to any other page of the website. He also let me know that the widget includes business/org details in addition to aggregate reviews and a link to the testimonial page, so your webmaster does need to make sure there is no conflicting schema on any page you might add the widget to. It was very nice of Mike to get back to me so speedily, and I would encourage you to be sure you are making use of GetFiveStars' support options to be sure you're using their product to its maximum potential. Mike mentioned he has a draft manual he'd be happy to share with you if you reach out to the company's support.Hope this helps!

  • Thanks for all of your responses. I understand that the title shouldn't look spammy and needs to be relevant to the user. My question is, for example if I am writing the title for a women's scrub category page should the title be "Medical Scrubs For Women:Nursing Uniforms At Low Prices l Name of company" or should I take out the "at low prices" and put in some more keywords which may make it sound more like listing keywords? My thought was that if I have the extra space why not put in some text that will be enticing to the user to make them click. Please let me know your thoughts.

  • Hi, The top and bottom line, is how many are needed. I have clients who dominate huge search terms and have pages with many hundreds of links - others who only have a small number and the only difference between the two is what is actually needed. If you have so many that the page is confusing, then I would reduce them. If you do have many hundreds, why do you have them? Can they be reduced without affecting usability? There is no one answer to this and each case much be looked at on its own merits. -Andy

  • Hi Brainfruit, I'm assuming that the content of your menu would still be visible in the source code of the page itself. As my best guess would be is that you're triggering this through the JavaScript on click. All of this shouldn't affect how Google will see your page. What is probably happening is that the page itself isn't crawled yet by Moz over time, making the Page Authority 1. Martijn.

  • Hi, For me it's a very important part of SEO. An XML sitemap creates a hierarchy of your site for bots and search engines to follow. It ensures that the spiders can easily reach all parts of your website and indexes your pages quickly. Hope this helps. Thanks

  • Hi Thanks for the reply. I haven't seen huge traffic drops, it's more than a lot of keywords have dropped out of rankings, but I think it was for pages which don't rank highly anyway. It just seems to coincide with a domain authority drop as well. I'm keeping up to date with it but can't find anything concrete on whats affected us Thanks

  • Hi Tom, What I would look into is check what kind of competition you have in the US, to make sure you can find out what they're doing better then you there compared to your performance in the UK. You can than see if it's really up to the content on these pages and if they're optimized the right way or it's more up to the quality + amount of links that you have there. If the latter would be the case I would make sure to look into making sure that your strategy would result in getting more links from the US. Martijn.

  • Hi there Paul, Sam from Moz's Help Team here! Sorry about the trouble - I know this can seem frustrating and confusing so let me try to explain. Overall, this is due to our method of indexing, which focuses on quality over quantity (if we're providing a summary of it). When we collect this information for our link index it's actually expected that we won’t find every page and link because we aren’t looking for them all. When we collect this data, we’re looking specifically for the most valuable links and, rather than crawling your entire site or every site, we collect this by starting our crawler on a few highest ranking sites and letting it perform a breadth first search to see what it finds. For each page that we crawl, we first collect each of it’s links before following these and collecting the details of each page that these link to and so on. There’s a set limit of links that we’ll crawl per page and pages that we’ll crawl per site so it’s expected that we may not follow every link on a site this way (so this means we may not always find all available backlinks/linking domains). Open Site Explorer and the Link Analysis page of campaigns are both tied to our Mozscape index, which tends to update roughly once a month. Just a few points on how we compile our index: We grab the most recent index. We take the top 10 billion URLs with the highest MozRank (with a fixed limit on some of the larger domains). We start crawling from the top down until we've crawled ~130 billion URLs The idea here is that we're focusing on the highest-quality links we can find, coming from the most prominent pages of authoritative sites. So, while you may not see every link for a site within our index, we're aiming to report the most valuable ones available! Most new sites and links will be indexed by our spiders and available in Mozscape and Open Site Explorer within 60 days, but some take even longer for many reasons - including the crawl-ability of sites, the number of inbound links to them, and the depth of pages in subdirectories. You can see our most recently updated schedule here as well as some more technical metrics on our Mozscape API Updates page. You can also see when the last and next updates happened on the Open Site Explorer (OSE) homepage at any time. Since Moz focuses on quality of links over quantity, we are always focused on the most relevant links to display to our users. It's possible that Moz's index will leave out some of the lower-quality (non-link juice providing) links out of our index because of this. So, that might explain why you may see some discrepancies with what other tools may be showing. It's also important to note that OSE is based on link freshness and diversity, so it's possible that older inbound links that were pointing to you have no longer been indexed. Our index only caches the link data it has for around 180 days - after that, unless the tool is prompted to re-crawl those sites, links will fall out of our index and no longer be included, which is why we always recommend consistent and continuous link building. Generally, we recommend using a wide variety of backlink tools to get the most illustrative picture of how your site's backlink profile looks. OSE and Ahrefs index differently and have different purposes. Ahrefs is good for quantity while OSE is great for finding higher quality links. Domain Authority is our own proprietary metric that is closely correlated to Google rankings, so our customers often use OSE to research influential sites to build links. I hope this helps - let me know if you have any further questions!

  • Hello! Tawny from Moz's Help Team here. Here is how you can cancel your Moz Local listing in 4 steps: Head to your Moz Local dashboard and click the "Subscriptions" tab on the side nav bar https://moz.com/local/bulk/managed/subscriptions Click on the subscription level your listing is under In the Options dropdown to the right of your listing, hit “Cancel Listing” Click "Confirm cancellation" to cancel the listing If you change your mind, click "Keep my listing" to go back without taking any action. Here's a helpful video walkthrough: https://seomoz.wistia.com/medias/wnytti9jbm Please Note: Moz Local listing cancellations are immediate and irreversible. Cancelled listings cannot be recovered. If you'd prefer to just disable the auto-renewal on the listings instead of cancelling, you would want to choose the "Disable Renewal" option from the same dropdown menu mentioned above instead. I hope this helps but please let us know if there's more we can assist with!
