We're working on a site that is a beer company. Because it is required to have an age verification page, how should we best redirect the bots (useragents) to the actual homepage (thus skipping ahead of the age verification without allowing all browsers)?
Do you know of any examples of this being implemented? Thanks Daniel.

Pinging Service?
Mike, I think I almost got the jest of your reply post, but let me make sure. I'll make some assumptions out loud and you tell me if I'm reading the tea leaves correctly, if you don't mind, that is, please. The site you mention, e.g. blogrolling.com etc., I take it those are sites that a ping service would notify about my newly submitted url to the ping service? Regarding the 'keeping track' comments, I take it you mean that I could manually go to each of these sites and submit my site, but the ping services does that for me, and to many sites from my one submission to them? As you can tell, ping services are new to me and like Socialdude who started this post, I am trying to understand it. Especially three aspects: 1. How and why do ping services work, and 2. What is their incentive to exist and do all this work for us for free? So they can advertise to us? 3. I own the site www.Grossinternational.com and I put new pages and blogs up on the site often so I am trying to understand if I should ping every new page and post, which I think I should, and second, should I ping them just the once and let it go or re-ping those pages? It seems to me that I should only do it once, but when I see ping services offering to ping my site weekly or daily even, then I start doubting my understanding again. My latest blog tonight is at http://grossinternational.com/penny-auction-strategy/ and I just pinged it. Now, should I do that again in a week? And if so, why and how often? Thanks for your help and time, and with me especially, thanks for your patience. Kurt Gross, Knoxville, TN USA P.S. One other question, i.e. I pinged this page with this post on it. Isn't that a good idea, or not?

How do I eliminate duplicate url, duplicate title issues using Joomla CMS?
AceSEF is designed to handle this problem. I recommend you ask this question on the AceSEF forums. SEOmoz is a fantastic resource for SEO information, but if your question is directly related to a particular extension for a particular CMS, the developer's site should be a far better resource for information.

Exactly, that's sort of where I'm at - "...definitely worth a try." I'm hoping to hear from someone who's actually tested this all out.

Not using a robot command meta tag
Barry is spot on. You either have the meta robot line, or you do your robots.txt. I prefer to use the txt because it shows me all the rules I impose on the website at a glance and doesn't make me go and search each page individually if anything needs to be changed. Imagine having a website with 20000 pages where each is individually adjusted. If you suddenly need to change something it will take you forever. With a robots.txt it will literally take seconds.

Exporting keywords from PRO?
I haven't found a way to export from the keywords management section, so I follow the same path as Manischa and export to Excel from the Rankings tab.

Pros and Cons of new subdomain and redirecting old subdomain?
Barry - If you are currently sitting at #2 for your keyword and refer to your existing sub-domain as 'very powerful', I would let this idea go. As Highland said, you stand to lose some rank in doing this, at least temporarily. In addition, the search engines are slowly but steadily losing favor of exact match domains. Your potential upside doesn't outweigh the risks of this move, in my opinion.

Tool?
Analyze Page, within the SEOmoz tool bar, offers an HTML text character count. This isn't scalable in the way you describe though. I also checked a desktop crawling tool that I use, Screaming Frog, but it doesn't provide that feature. Sorry.

How Can I Force Google Into Showing Me Search Results From Another Country?
Not sure, I think it just stops google from redirecting to your location's default. I have also found this page where google recommends to use www.google.com/ncr to avoid being redirected to .co.uk: http://www.google.com/support/websearch/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=873 I have only run a quick check now, but in my test I got exactly the same result for /ncr and /webhp (appended the &gl=us to both).
