In general, from what I know, the WordPress codex itself is relatively SEO friendly. When we're talking about which theme to go with – it's true a custom built theme is probably going to be less bloated and provide faster site speed. I would encourage you to audit (or have someone else audit) your competition. If you have similar content, similar link profiles, similar brand strength, etc... then site speed could be a factor that makes a difference – especially when Google issues a page speed update. However, if they have you beat on other fronts, I would put more effort into link building or content generation before worrying about which theme to go with. Does that make sense? It depends on many factors, but I would estimate building a custom theme will be at least 2X the work of utilizing a theme. And yes, the maintenance of custom themes and custom plugins is a good bit more involved than simply updating pre-built themes and plugins.

It's not normal. To start, I'd check to make sure the content: is unique canonicalized to itself has incoming links no redirects isn't blocked from indexing I'd also check to see if you've had any site outages that may have prevented crawlers from accessing your content. If your site is fairly new and/or has little traffic, it's possible you're running out of crawl budget before search engines get to those pages.

Check for yourself. Pick a sentence, then copy/paste it into a google search box between quotation marks and search. You will probably find that same sentence on other websites.

Hi there, Thanks for the question! I can certainly speak to Keyword Explorer's numbers and how we arrived there. We use a number of sources for our volume data, including Keyword Planner, but oftentimes you will see large discrepancies because our data goes through a disambiguation process. As you noticed, Google Keyword Planner currently bundles similar keywords into one overall volume metric. Most people want specific data rather than a grouped number, so we strive to separate out the individual keyword volumes. So, when the data is separated out, it makes the less-trafficked keywords look suspiciously low when in fact their traffic volume is more accurate in our tool. Hi all, If you are trying to target two different locations then try to personalise the content for each location. Maybe stats on which phone model is most popular in each place. If the sub domains will be exact copies, then rel=canonical one to the other. thanks

Hi there, Sorry for the trouble! We attempted to access that robots.txt page and it does look like we were hitting a "too many redirects" error. You will also want to make sure you are not blocking AWS, as that would stop us entirely. Checking the logs is really one of the best ways to determine how exactly your site is responding to our crawler, and if there's any way at all to get those that would be ideal for troubleshooting. Without logs, there isn't a ton we can definitively investigate. Yes, search for whitesource on google (dont want to post the full link), this is the website but as far as robots.txt i do not have noindex or nofollow on my website. In addition, I also cannot get a cache on the "fetch as google" tool in the Search Console - im only getting the request header details, without the html

Thanks Nick. This was my thinking too (website first), but was pushed to publish everywhere at once: LinkedIn, YouTube, website, Facebook. Backlinks from multiple c-blocks and off-page SEO are my concentrated efforts.
