Website usability
Yeah pricing customised things is difficult. I tell my patients getting a smile makeover is like buying a car. And they say 'what sort of car' and I say - 'well you've just answered the price question - it's up to you not me' Remember manuals and technical content will be duplicated from the manufacturers sites so will harm not help. Also can you get links from the manufacturers like in their 'find a supplier' pages. Also find everyone in the office with a degree and get them to join their university alumni and write a piece about your company and how they've done well in their careers. Universities will publish these in their blogs and blast your DA into outer space.

PayPal Billing issue
Oh no! I'm so sorry you're having to deal with that. Very frustrating. The PayPal transaction can be a little tricky, as you mention, on account of the association between emails + card numbers. Because it is occurring within PayPal's database itself (paying against a balance, using different cards for the same email, etc) we are provided very little visibility into the transaction itself. I know that isn't helpful but here are the two options I'd suggest (in order of ease): If you want to use a different card ... try using a different email when registering and paying If you want to use the same card, I would contact PayPal support. They can get it all sorted out. PayPal's customer support line is: (888) 221-1161 I wish I could be of more help. I imagine this must be frustrating. Thanks for your interest in class and hope to see you there!

How do I use meta descriptions properly?
You should not worry much about the length, up to a maximum of 300 characters. A few years ago the maximum was about 155, but Google increased it to 300. What is really important about the Meta Description is that you write something that gets the attention of the searcher, in the way that he or she decides to click and enter your web. So try to think: ¿what can result interesting to the searcher to mention in my meta description? I recommend especially mentioning the price, ir you have a good price, or an offer if you have it, or anything interesting for the searcher that you have. Using exclamations is also a good point. Dont think in terms of SEO for this meta, think about CTR. Hope my comment helped you!!

Difference keyword tool and related topics
Hello Russ, I have another question concerning content suggestions. If I get it right the content suggestions are "topic" that I should cover in my content. Let's take the keyword "Dordogne family bike tour" (one of my keywords). Moz content suggestions tell me the I covered Rocamadour. However, I also have Sarlat in my text but apparently content suggestion doesn't say I covered it ... Why ? I have an idea ! I believe that in order to cover a " topic" you need what I would call "indicator words" that are part of the same semantic group as the "topic" I am trying to cover correct ? For the world "Sarlat" it seems that I don't have any words related to "Sarlat", whereas I have words related to Rocamadour. Is it correct ? How do I know which words are semantically connected to Rocamadour ? How do I know if it is the word, hilltop village, pilgrimage destination, Chapelle Notre dame, the Black Madonnna status , all of those words or other words that triggered the fact that Rocamadour is covered ? Finally, does or do the words that trigger need to be in the same sentence, same paragraph or anywhere on the webpage is ok ? Thank you,

"Noindex, follow" for thin pages?
+1 to EGOL and Ginaluca. We need more information about that pages. In any case, if we are talking about thin content, but if is quality content and it's not duplicated content or oriented-for-SEO content, I would not use noindex for it. If we ar talking about empty pages or almost empty pages maybe is better to use noindex, or maybe is better to delete and redirect with 301 this pages. I would reduce the internal linking, and maybe put those internal links lower or in places with less visibility. Just that. Greetings!

No structured sitemap
As far as I know how Yoast can create the sitemaps it's just a dump of all the articles that you have in WordPress. So your use case wouldn't be solved with just installing the plugin. You would probably have to work with either what you have or put some effort into rewriting how there sitemaps are being generated.

Should my home page be ranking for services provided?
Hi Gavinn, I personally would try to rank on the home the best / more popular / generic / most searched service on your business, or maybe 2 or 3 of them. And I also would keep those keywords on their respective service page. And the rest of keywords just on their service page. Normally is the strategy that I use. Good luck!

Google indexes page elements
Hi Gianluca! Thanks for the answer. I see that these images and attachments keep showing in Google. Is this hurting our ranking score? Will we have to redirect ALL of them to the home page? Or is it ok for us to wait and let Google recrawl the website and remove them from the index?

Different variations of my site (www ; non www ; https ; http) have different authority status
Hi Caro, you should never have more than one version of your web. You should pick the https:// version, because a study from a important Seo Tool confirmed that the websites with https:// version perform better on Google. Then is up to you to choose with www or without. Apply redirects and when you write a different version of your site, it should always redirect to the version you chosen, at the home or at any inner page. Greetings

The best way to create multi language project?
Hi! If you are doing translations, ccTLDs are not recommended. Those are geo-targeted a specific country, not language. I prefer language as either a subdomain or subfolder. If I had to pick, it is subfolder, so option 3 in your set.

Different variations of my site (www ; non www ; https ; http) have different authority status
Hi there! Its completely correct that all those different variations have different metrics. The advice here should be: Choose the preferred version and sitck with it. Once chosen that version, redirect 301 all other variations to the other. If redirection is not possible, then use canonical tags Google does understand that you might have different versions and that you should select one and say to Google that. Authority and linkpowerness will be taken into account by google. There is also a great post from Cyrus Sheperd, stating that redirects do pass authority correctly: 301 Redirects Rules Change: What You Need to Know for SEO - Moz Blog Hope it helps. Best luck. GR

Can I put the company name in the image alt text instead of just the service type im trying to rank for?
Hi There, This might be a good approach, as you are using the branding keywords at the right place, your brand name search will get some impetus with that. Having said that, do keep in mind that you are over-doing it by stuffing it in many SEO related elements and might get penalized for it. I hope this helps, let me know if you have further questions. Homepage is deindexed in Google
Hi Bob, It seems you got your webpage back on the google listing, let me tell you few of the reasons and also give tips for rankings better on search engines. Hidden text or hidden links within your website Automated queries to Google which an errant script or malware can be sending to google or other websites. Virus or Malware on the page. Spam reports about the website. Canonical error domains with a substantially duplicate content error being shown due to www, non-www, https, http etc versions. How you can avoid this kind of situation and up your ranks on google: Regularly watch the messages and alerts that google search console/webmaster sends. These are very important as Google has only this way of informing the webmaster about errors and problems on the website. Google gives authority and importance to secure websites, Install a security certificate on the website, move to Https using professional help. Install a good quality anti-virus, anti-malware on the website hosting. Website hosts also have this facility, check with your hosting provider. I hope this helps , let me know if you have further queries. Regards, Vijay

Moz new Link Tool has revealed high spam scores but we never posted on them!
Hi AshShep1, I came across this same issue while using the new Link Explorer. I think it's mainly because the new Link Explorer's index is larger than the previous OSE and thus showing us more links that were not indexed previously by OSE. Regarding your question, if you feel that the links are undesirable, you can always use the Disavow tool provided by Google in the Google Search Console to disavow those links. https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/disavow-links-main Moz has a pretty good article on this tool here: https://moz.com/blog/guide-to-googles-disavow-tool Hope this helps!
