  • Hello! We do not have a hashtag tracker. Overall we don't have a strong focus on Social metrics outside of Followerwonk and we're more about tweets to and from particular users rather than a larger trend analysis. If we see more interest in this, it could be something our product team could add to their roadmap. Currently I would recommend checking out https://tagboard.com/ for hashtag analysis.

  • Hi there! Can you try logging out of your account from the MozBar? Please click the Settings button and the Logout button to sign-out and then sign back in with your account, as shown in this screenshot: http://www.screencast.com/t/ROqaUFd8oUlo This should log you out of your Moz account on moz.com as well. When you log back in, check the MozBar to see if things are updated, and if not, try refreshing your page one more time. I'm hoping this solves your problem, but if it doesn't, please feel free to write into help@moz.com and we'll look into this further. Thanks! Kevin Help Team

  • Ha thanks for that. I read all over about these external links and everything seemed to point the same way that they were links pointing out over. A reword in the description of the crawl test categories I think is needed! Thanks again - Problem solved!

  • Hi there First, here is where you can read about how Domain Authority is calculated. Second, Moz is a highly respected business/website with tons of great backlinks and mentions all over the web - I highly doubt they are inflating their own numbers in this case. Given the industries, I can see Squarespace / Priceline & Airbnb having lower DA - there tends to be quite a bit of spam in those industries - traveling sites and CMS/blogging platforms. Moz & Salesforce are neck and neck however and I would expect this because again, they are both highly regarded and a lot of people use & trust them. Not saying that's not true for the other sites but again, I want to say this is more industry related. Hope this helps - good luck!

  • Thanks (again)! I have one campaign that has 175 keywords in Keyword Rankings, and I'd like to trim 25-50 of those out.  What is the smart way to do that? Should I download all the keywords, delete them from Moz, eliminate those that I don't want in my Excel spreadsheet, then upload the remaining ones again? Is there a way to do this within the Moz interface, rather than downloading? If I do delete and reload, won't I lose the history that has accumulated with those kw's? Mike

  • Hello again! There are a few layers of things going on here, so I'll try to break it down as completely as I can. The number of links reported in the 'Internal Links' column is coming directly from our index rather than the live crawl performed by the Crawl Test. So, any pages that we haven't indexed would display 0 internal links and a Page Authority of 1. For the pages that we have indexed, we tabulate internal links from all pages on your site that we view, but those pages are not necessarily indexed. This means that the large difference that you're seeing between your site and your competitors' internal link count could be simply coming from the fact that we've seen (and potentially indexed) more pages from your site than your competitors. This could happen more readily if we indexed inbound links that pointed to a wider variety of pages on your site, and also the overall size of your site. Also, it is always worth noting that this is just a snapshot based on your highly-authoritative backlinks, so it is not necessarily able to serve as a complete indicator of your (or your competitors') total link counts; these are just what we've observed during our particular indexing process. As far as the SEO implications of these counts, while I'm certainly no expert, I don't believe that large numbers of internal links like this would have any sort of direct negative affect on your rankings. I hope this helps to explain!

  • Hi Saddat! Thank you for your comment! Below are two more link building strategies you can employ by using the Link Opportunities tab in Open Site Explorer. Select the Reclaim Links tab to find broken pages on your site that have inbound links. You can then redirect these links to a working page. Select the Unlinked Mentions tab to see sites (and pages) that mention your company but do not link to you. You can then sort these by mention authority and if you see a reputable site that you respect, reach out to request a link. Hope this helps! Thanks, Kelly

  • Hi there First, take a look at Errors in Crawl Reports - there is a lot of great information in there and it's a great resource to help you when you encounter odd or unfamiliar errors. There are actually quite a few Q+A threads about these exact issues: How Do I Troubleshoot 804 HTTPS Crawl Error? (Moz) 804 HTTPS (SSL) error (Moz) How do fix an 803 Error? (Moz) I would take a look at the following resources because more often than not, this is a mixed protocol configuration: Configuring HTTPS servers Configuring HTTP and HTTPS Sometimes it's also because of mixed content. I would also take a look at these mixed content resources: Fixing “Mixed Content” Errors Using Protocol Relative Links To Fix Mixed Content Warnings This should give you a solid place to start! Hope this all helps - good luck!

  • I agree with Joey. Most prepositions are stop words, so they may carry less weight in the search algorithm. That's not to say they aren't important. I just searched "sporting goods stores in Atlanta" and "sporting goods stores Atlanta" and got very slightly different results for each. The on page optimization suggestions are just suggestions to point you in the right direction based on keywords you entered into the tool. You should never sacrifice usability for your readers in order to satisfy an SEO tool. The tool is just a starting point.

  • Hi Joseph There is documentation in Shopify for SEO, but it's pretty basic. I was also able to find some plugins: Plug in SEO SEO Meta Manager Ultra SEO Simple SEO I would also check out this resource from Shopify - see if that helps a bit. Good luck!

  • Glad the reinstall got it working for you.   There's always the API route too for more custom needs. I'm a long time user as well but can get why they alter tools to display more of their toolset. It's likely a tested value-add for many and newer subscribers. Cheers!

  • Hi Peter I personally love local tracking - especially for clients I have that tend to serve certain cities or areas, and don't compete nationally in their industry. If you find some of your clients or websites aren't meant to rank and perform nationally, then I highly suggest focusing on local SERP performance. Just keep in mind that adding local keywords to track also takes away spots from your overall allotted keywords you can track in your campaigns - just be mindful! You can learn more here from Moz. Hope this helps! Good luck!
