Hello! Sam from Moz's Help Team here! So -  after being found, newly discovered links have the ability to be populated into our index in about 3 days. However, there are a lot of factors which can affect our ability to find and index links to your site. It's important to note that we are always adding new data to our index, but it may take some time for us to discover backlinks to your site based on factors like crawlability of the referring pages, quality of the links and the referring pages, and more. If you are not seeing links that you know you have, you may want to make sure that they can be indexed. It is also a good idea to check to see if we've indexed the page on which that link is found. If we haven't indexed the referring page yet, you won't see your link in our index. You can also add links to Link Tracking Lists. Once you add a link to your tracking lists we will add that page to be crawled. As long as it is accessible to our crawler, you should see the link in our index as soon as we can index those pages. Lastly, I have a great guide here with some things to check around why we may not have found your links yet: https://moz.com/help/link-explorer/link-building/moz-isnt-finding-your-links If you'd like any further information, please feel free to pop us an email over at help@moz.com. We do also have a great guide to Domain Authority just here: https://moz.com/learn/seo/domain-authority

Hi, No, MOZ does not have any option to disavow links and you should not be worried about disavowing links in Moz. Instead, disavow them from the Google Search Console because Google is the search engine that ranks your site according to proper linking.

Hi, Great question, Link Explorer and the Links tab of Moz Pro Campaigns are both tied to our Link index, which is constantly updating. After being found, newly discovered links have the ability to be populated into our index in about 3 days. When discovered or lost links are found, we'll update our database to reflect those changes in your scores and link counts. We prioritize the links we crawl based on a machine learning algorithm to mimic Google's index. This does not mean that DA and PA will change with every data update, though; it will only change if we find new link data for a respective site. I'm sorry I can't tell you exactly when your DA will update it depends on when we find new equity passing backlinks to your site. You can read more about our new Link Explorer tool and our index here. You can also read more about how our Link index compares with our competitors here https://backlinko.com/best-backlink-checker Feel free to reach out to help@moz.com with any further questions

Hi snjaoieiw, To get a detailed answer from Moz staff on what DA is, you might consider searching the Q&A forum. In short, though, it is a Moz metric (not a Google or Bing metric) that takes into consideration the number (and quality) of backlinks your website has. That said, have you been working on building up high quality backlinks? -Zack

  • Hi Moz2, Website URL "http:www.oralsurgeonhouston.com" Canonical URL "http://www.oralsurgeonhouston.com/" Those are 2 different urls notice the trailing slash, and your site redirects from the slashed version to the non slashed version, but your canonical tag points to the slash version basically confusing the hell out of a crawler. Here is some help on the slash from google webmasters blog. Hope that helps with that page and your issue. Don

  • Authority Labs (who were providing Raven with rankings data via API) have stated they plan to continue. This is their only service, so it's probably not a hard decision for them!

  • Hey there, Sorry for the trouble getting this set up.  It's possible that you could click Continue, and setup would continue just fine. I am happy to look into this more for you, but will need more specific information from you to do that.  If you can email that information to help[at]seomoz.org with Attn: Joel in the subject, I can get back to you with more specific help.  Please include screenshots if possible. Thanks.  Look forward to hearing from you. Joel

  • It sounds like you have a big site (# of URLs) so I'm going to side with the idea of adding the different campaigns.  I think I would do it that way for easier/better quality and tracking breakdowns.

  • Hi Hugh, Can you link us an example or two of your duplicate pages? It's quite hard to tell what might be causing it until I understand what your setup is like. Thanks Matt

  • Hey all, It looks like there may be a bit of an issue causing it to randomly send through the wrong information on the Link Analysis. Can you do me a favor and send your Campaign information into the help team at help[at]seomoz.org so we can track this? That will help us hunt down the issue and get it resolved as quickly as possible. Thanks! Joel.

  • Hi there, Thanks for writing in with a great question. The social media information is based specifically on the URL you are inputting, so it would not include the likes on the Facebook page for the site unless you are specifically looking up facebook.com/examplebusiness in Open Site Explorer. For example, for www.seomoz.org OSE shows 155 Facebook likes (http://screencast.com/t/m0curvDuwsVU) while for www.facebook.com/SEOmoz it shows over 79,000 likes (http://screencast.com/t/34eHBJ4IEu). All of the metrics in the top section of OSE are specifically related to the exact URL you are researching and would not pull in information for other URLs. I hope this clears things up. Please let me know if you have any other questions. -Chiaryn

  • Hey Kevin, Thanks for reaching out. I just checked all your campaigns against OSE and they lined up just fine. I didn't see a single discrepancy. You have to remember that while the campaign will show you Root Domain and Subdomain, OSE will also display page specific metrics. That different metric may account for any confusion between the two. If you aren't seeing the same thing as I, can you take a few screenshots of the discrepancy and send it in to help[at]seomoz.org? Cheers, Joel.

  • Yes. Exactly. Yesterday, my ranking report dated 12/11/12 said PR 8 but I saw myself in position #11. Today, 12/12/12, the page rank in the report has changed and is matching what I see when I search. It's #11 and my search is #11. The report on 12/11/12 says PR 8, today the report number has gone up to 11. I didn't realized that  there could be a lag time or that reports might change during the week. I thought the report was the report for its particular week and that to see updated info, one would have to wait for the next week for a new report. Has anyone else experienced this?

  • I would also love to find an accurate way to instantly measure competition for a bulk list of keywords. Unfortunately, I think it's the inherent nature of this request that the tool is either going to be quick and inaccurate/outdated OR accurate and slow because keyword difficulty is determined by organic competition which requires querying a search engine's organic listings for each keyword to grab a list of URLs, then analyzing the on-page factors, then analyzing inbound links for each of those URLs, and then comparing all of these against each other to determine how competitive each phrase is. And considering most users want to find out difficult a keyword is to rank for in Google then that means most tools will need to query Google's rankings/API in real-time for every single keyword to get the most accurate results, but that also means this process is going to take some time, especially since Google actively tries to prevent tools from automatically grabbing/scraping their results (as Raven, WordStream and SEOmoz all found out just recently). Anyways, I realize I'm not answering your question so I want to offer some suggestions, even if they are not exactly perfect - 1. Long Tail Pro - My favorite keyword research tool as of late, and they actually just released a new feature which allows you to import keyword lists up to 10,000 of your own keywords to check competition. However, since it queries Google, it's not going to be instant... however it does seem to be more robust and faster than my next suggestion. 2. Market Samurai - great for keyword research/competitive analysis but it can be somewhat slow. Their newest update features more competition metrics which look pretty useful.
