Hello! Sam from Moz's Help Team here! So -  after being found, newly discovered links have the ability to be populated into our index in about 3 days. However, there are a lot of factors which can affect our ability to find and index links to your site. It's important to note that we are always adding new data to our index, but it may take some time for us to discover backlinks to your site based on factors like crawlability of the referring pages, quality of the links and the referring pages, and more. If you are not seeing links that you know you have, you may want to make sure that they can be indexed. It is also a good idea to check to see if we've indexed the page on which that link is found. If we haven't indexed the referring page yet, you won't see your link in our index. You can also add links to Link Tracking Lists. Once you add a link to your tracking lists we will add that page to be crawled. As long as it is accessible to our crawler, you should see the link in our index as soon as we can index those pages. Lastly, I have a great guide here with some things to check around why we may not have found your links yet: https://moz.com/help/link-explorer/link-building/moz-isnt-finding-your-links If you'd like any further information, please feel free to pop us an email over at help@moz.com. We do also have a great guide to Domain Authority just here: https://moz.com/learn/seo/domain-authority

Hi, No, MOZ does not have any option to disavow links and you should not be worried about disavowing links in Moz. Instead, disavow them from the Google Search Console because Google is the search engine that ranks your site according to proper linking.

Hi, Great question, Link Explorer and the Links tab of Moz Pro Campaigns are both tied to our Link index, which is constantly updating. After being found, newly discovered links have the ability to be populated into our index in about 3 days. When discovered or lost links are found, we'll update our database to reflect those changes in your scores and link counts. We prioritize the links we crawl based on a machine learning algorithm to mimic Google's index. This does not mean that DA and PA will change with every data update, though; it will only change if we find new link data for a respective site. I'm sorry I can't tell you exactly when your DA will update it depends on when we find new equity passing backlinks to your site. You can read more about our new Link Explorer tool and our index here. You can also read more about how our Link index compares with our competitors here https://backlinko.com/best-backlink-checker Feel free to reach out to help@moz.com with any further questions

Hi snjaoieiw, To get a detailed answer from Moz staff on what DA is, you might consider searching the Q&A forum. In short, though, it is a Moz metric (not a Google or Bing metric) that takes into consideration the number (and quality) of backlinks your website has. That said, have you been working on building up high quality backlinks? -Zack

  • If you want to increase your DA you should build links across the whole domain, but not to the specific page on your site. It takes time to show keywords in MOZ.  You might need to wait a few more weeks.

  • I would look into these things: how much traffic that specific site gets on a monthly basis how does the anchor cloud look like( do they have any spammy links?) Look at this site in the web archive to see if the theme of this site has been many changed If the site had any drops in organic traffic If the site has many redirects How many other sites are located on the same IP or C block( many webmasters put all these sites on the same server) Does the site has any high-quality links pointing to it What is the link velocity for the specific site Do not look into DA only because it could be manipulated

  • I  have just encountered an interesting thing about Moz Link Search and its bot: if you do a search for Domains linking to Google.com , you find a  list of about 900 000 domains, among which I was surprised  to find  webcache.googleusercontent.com See the proof  below in attache screen shot. At the same time, the  webcache.googleusercontent.com policy  for robots is as shown in the second attachment. In my opinion, there is only one possible explanation: Moz Bot does ignore  robots.txt files... e9f7db874c 87ce35be1c

  • Yeah, second that. Remember DA is not Google. If a gig is offered for this service and seems to be to easy/sleazy or doesn't make sense, not worth doing. Understand your point--I'm sure MOZ will continually update DA and close up the loopholes.

  • If you have no (more) links to the tags, maybe there is a sitemap? I mean, when moz found them, there was a way to do that right? This way seems to exist, still. Maybe you have hidden links to tags or something? In most cases you don't need to redirect them (if there never was value/rankings/something useful) from an SEO POV, but from User view, you should kill the links or kill tag-sitemap whatever. 404 is ok then, if not internal linked.

  • Don't think of your page as a place for keywords. Think of it as a place to use words to explain what your product is, what solutions it provides and what audience it serves. Sure, you need to sprinkle your keyword(s) in there in the appropriate places but it all the other words that are going to make a difference. By your question, it looks like you may be overly focused on the search term you want to rank for, at the expense of words that describe the concepts. Google's algorithm is advanced. It can tell between gratuitous copy and what's been written by experts. However, many  experts don't know how to write for search engines. Scientists and academics like to save the best for last. Google rewards displays of expertise at the beginning of the page. What you need is an expert writer and someone on  staff  who already knows the answers to the questions you're asking.

  • Thanks. Definitely part of the strategy more digital PR actions to increase the quality of the external links, rather than quantity.

  • I guess you are asking the things to do to bring spam score down. Before diving further, I would like to tell you that spam score is not an official metric by Google but a metric by Moz that gives you an idea of how spammy your domain is (on the basis of sites that have linked to you). If you have a high spam score, then I recommend you to find out all those sites that have linked to you (you can use Moz Link checker for this). Once you have found all those links, then start deleting them one-by-one (if those links were created by you manually). Otherwise, you can simply submit a disavow file (list of all spammy links) to Google using Google search console.

  • Hi there, DA is a relative metric, it changes over time. If your competition is doing more/better work than you, then DA would go down. Here is an excerpt from here (https://moz.com/learn/seo/domain-authority Since Authority is based on machine learning calculations, your site's score will often fluctuate as more, less, or different data points are used in the calculation — for instance, if Facebook were to acquire a billion new links, everyone's PA and DA would drop relative to Facebook. For this reason, keep in mind that you should always use Domain Authority as a relative metric to compare against the link profiles of other sites, as opposed to an absolute value scoring the efficacy of your internal SEO efforts. Hope this helps.

  • Hi there, DA and MozTrust metrics are correlated, but not affecting each other. Actually, I believe MozTrust is not really being even used anymore. DA kinda took over. Basically, you should care about DA and SpamScore. Here are a couple links to other answers, explaining what it is, the differences etc: https://moz.com/community/q/mozrank-and-moztrust https://moz.com/community/q/how-do-i-increase-my-trust-score Hope this helps.

  • You could also do a google search for the anchor text with a search like this: site:yourdomain.com "your anchor text" Screamingfrog might be more thorough and anyone who has anything to do with websites should be well versed on how to use screamimgfrog--and as many different ways to accomplish tasks as possible.

  • Obviously. But from my experience there was'nt really an upside to it. Basicly saying i might as well create a website with only H2 instead of the H1 till H6.
