Hello! Sam from Moz's Help Team here! So -  after being found, newly discovered links have the ability to be populated into our index in about 3 days. However, there are a lot of factors which can affect our ability to find and index links to your site. It's important to note that we are always adding new data to our index, but it may take some time for us to discover backlinks to your site based on factors like crawlability of the referring pages, quality of the links and the referring pages, and more. If you are not seeing links that you know you have, you may want to make sure that they can be indexed. It is also a good idea to check to see if we've indexed the page on which that link is found. If we haven't indexed the referring page yet, you won't see your link in our index. You can also add links to Link Tracking Lists. Once you add a link to your tracking lists we will add that page to be crawled. As long as it is accessible to our crawler, you should see the link in our index as soon as we can index those pages. Lastly, I have a great guide here with some things to check around why we may not have found your links yet: https://moz.com/help/link-explorer/link-building/moz-isnt-finding-your-links If you'd like any further information, please feel free to pop us an email over at help@moz.com. We do also have a great guide to Domain Authority just here: https://moz.com/learn/seo/domain-authority

Hi, No, MOZ does not have any option to disavow links and you should not be worried about disavowing links in Moz. Instead, disavow them from the Google Search Console because Google is the search engine that ranks your site according to proper linking.

Hi, Great question, Link Explorer and the Links tab of Moz Pro Campaigns are both tied to our Link index, which is constantly updating. After being found, newly discovered links have the ability to be populated into our index in about 3 days. When discovered or lost links are found, we'll update our database to reflect those changes in your scores and link counts. We prioritize the links we crawl based on a machine learning algorithm to mimic Google's index. This does not mean that DA and PA will change with every data update, though; it will only change if we find new link data for a respective site. I'm sorry I can't tell you exactly when your DA will update it depends on when we find new equity passing backlinks to your site. You can read more about our new Link Explorer tool and our index here. You can also read more about how our Link index compares with our competitors here https://backlinko.com/best-backlink-checker Feel free to reach out to help@moz.com with any further questions

Hi snjaoieiw, To get a detailed answer from Moz staff on what DA is, you might consider searching the Q&A forum. In short, though, it is a Moz metric (not a Google or Bing metric) that takes into consideration the number (and quality) of backlinks your website has. That said, have you been working on building up high quality backlinks? -Zack

  • Thanks again for answering. One version does seem to have better links. Perhaps Moz will eventually see them as the same domain as the redirect has only been in place for about 1 month. I may ask the developers to verify and set the preferred domain also. Thank you!

  • Hi Melissa, For your top pages, in Google Analytics go to: Behavior > Site Content > All Pages or Landing Pages For your top organic search terms, you'll need to go to Google Search Console (formerly Webmaster Tools) - then go to Search Traffic > Search Analytics > and choose 'Queries' You can still see some search terms in Google Analytics, but they technically took away that feature when they went to secure search about 3 years ago. But you're better off using Search Console to view this information. Here's a few links that'll help you learn the ropes: https://moz.com/blog/absolute-beginners-guide-to-google-analytics https://moz.com/beginners-guide-to-seo

  • Based on the fact that we don't currently offer any promotions (aside from our 30-day free trial) I'm going to have to join Eric in calling this and similar offers illegitimate and encouraging you to buy your subscriptions through these companies directly. I've also just sent that site to our Legal team, so their offer may not be available much longer, anyway—thanks for the heads-up! I'll be locking this thread to further comments, as well.

  • Thanks Jordan and Eric for your input. In the meantime I've gotten a response from JohnMu in the Webmaster Central Help Forum. Apparently it has to do with duplicate content on our website: "We're taking some of these duplicates, and folding them into a single URL." https://productforums.google.com/forum/?utm_medium=email&utm_source=footer#!msg/webmasters/ezMvrlRWuDk/q0jjp9bHDgAJ

  • I'm sorry to say, there really is no way to speed it up without cutting corners! Link removal is a painfully slow process but one that needs to be done if your link profile is terrible. I don't use exactly the same process as that guide but it's pretty close and it's going to be about the same speed. There are automation tools out there and maybe a little Excel trick or two that could save you seconds but if you've got a big, low quality profile, there really is no way to save any significant amount of time without risk of missing some.

  • Couple things I noticed... 1st - Is the business name "Properties For Sale Mallorca" or is that the keyword you're trying for? It looks like it's on dozens of pages on your site, which isn't ideal. If that's a target keyword, then it should be focused down to one page to make sure you're not confusing Googlebot. That could be diluting your ranking potential. 2nd - Some of the wording on your website seems a little wonky... "Not just your Estate Agents Mallorca, but property finder for Mallorca, search today on our vast database." To me that is an indication that your site may be over-optimized. I would check to make sure the site content is natural and not keyword stuffed, since that could be contributing to your ranking problems. What else have you done on the site (either onsite or offsite)?

  • Hi Zoe, I just tried to view your Robots.txt file and was unable to access it. So I requested a crawl. The error I got from Moz is "612 : Page banned by error response for robots.txt." I would suggest you look at the file permissions of your robots.txt file. It should be readable by the public; Apache permissions would be (644). This means it is not available to view or it could be that it is in the wrong directory or non-existent altogether. It should be in your root and accessible via a browser here: http://www.guitarcontrol.com/robots.txt I would also note that some people feel that listing your sensitive directories in the robots.txt file is a security risk, and perhaps they are right. However, there are other ways to secure a directory and keep them out of the Indexes, and if the information being protected is that important, I would imagine that all security precautions would be taken. The robots.txt file is important for crawlers so it should always be used and available to be read. If security is the problem here, I would point to some high profile sites that don't seem to have a problem with showing the public their robots.txt file. https://www.google.com/robots.txt https://www.facebook.com/robots.txt I hope this helps, Don <colgroup><col width="907"></colgroup> | 612 : Page banned by error response for robots.txt. |

  • **I was under the impression that the tools here were designed to help alleviate some of manual labor.  ** In my opinion, the tools on Moz are best suited to monitoring your progress and giving you objective assessments.  They are not going to move you up the SERPs. Moving your site up the SERPs takes effort from the webmaster (or whoever is hired to do that work).  That effort is all about making a better website.  There is a lot of valuable information on Moz to guide you with that work.  Most of that information is free.

  • Hi there. It's not me suggesting it, it's Rand Fishkin (founder of MOZ) saying it - check the link I refer to in my answer. Second paragraph. (It's quoted in my answer as well)
