Examine the impact of paid search marketing and its relationship with organic search.

  • Hi Jono, Yes, you have to check into Google Analytics for this. You can also try to change the model attribution of the conversion to see what's the part of the Adwords Ads into the process. Regards, Jonathan

  • Hi, From your question I have concluded that you are worrying about QS after changing final URL so here is answer from Google. "Quality score is primarily based on predicted CTR, ad relevance and landing page experience. Creating a new ad (with new Ad ID) with the same keyword, creative, landing page and device would therefore not affect the quality score." You can use AdWords editor to complete the upgrade. "Stats history are not lost because the removed ads are still in the adgroup. There is no impact on reporting at ad group or higher level. The only impact would be when looking at the ad ID level, you will now have stats for 2 ad IDs (one for the past, one for the new)." You can also watch this video @ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IQBR_LT7pS4 it is about upgrading URL from destination URLs to Final URL but you will get answer of all your question. Hope this helps. Thanks

  • Edmond, Having read your question and the response above I have one thing I would add based on years of marketing experience (not just digital): With any ppc campaign you should always be running A/B testing as a mechanism to either improve conversions or validate what you are doing. I think this is the most under utilized tool in all paid search.  Running an agency I can tell you that we occasionally fall into the trap of not doing this regularly with clients who are being very successful. To me that means we are complacent and due to have a fall. So, I urge A/B testing. Robert

  • Hi Anirban! I'm not entirely sure what you're asking here. Can you clarify at all?

  • Thanks for the info - and of course always for good and not evil with these types of tools. What I'm hoping to do is just enter a URL, have it scrape the site, and then dump all of the text on the site into a document to put into a keyword density tool to gain perspective on new partner websites for industries where we are entering for the first time. All for SEO, content ideas, learning about value propositions and services as well as for keyword ideas for SEM. Looks like doing some programming might be the best way to go here - was hoping someone may have already built this kind of functionality! Thanks again!

  • Thank you for your response Alick300 - I am favoring Analytics for all the reasons you state and I really appreciate you taking the time to answer my query.

  • Thanks Troy! Let us know how it goes. That does sound very promising. Don't forget to create a new profile view so you don't sku the data in your default view.

  • Hi Arnold, That's a dangerous question to ask in an SEO forum but also a testament to the quality of the Moz community - ask that question on somewhere like Reddit and wait for the 1,000 self-promotional marketing spiels you get in the first 5 minutes! To answer your question though, Moz does offer a Recommended List of SEO Consultants which is worth checking out. Most of us here do what you're looking for, it's just in poor taste (in my opinion anyway) to go looking for work in what is essentially a help forum.

  • What about the CTR of your website? Google says "increased CTR as well as more traffic makes your website increase in authority" - therefore increasing organic ranking of all or most keywords - (Google didn't say that part but it makes sense). If AdWords provides both of these things to your website wouldn't your organic rankings increase / increase over time?

  • Hi Ruben, I would definitely agree with Eric on this one and highly recommend that you use the regular AdWords interface to view and analyze your account performance. It has been a while since I have been in an account that was set up using AdWords Express but I believe there is a link to view the account as a regular AdWords account from the Express dashboard. To diagnose why your ads are showing on the sidebar you would want to review keyword quality scores to find out where you can improve. It might have to do with you ad copy or landing page content not being relevant enough to the keywords you are targeting but could also be that your bids are simply too low! Your total budget will not have an impact on where your ads are placed, that simply limits your daily spend. How much you are bidding on keywords along with the other quality score and ad rank related factors will determine where your ads are placed. I hope this helps and you are able to improve positioning after analyzing your current performance in the regular AdWords interface!

  • Hello! While I haven't had any direct experience with a YP ad I would have to agree with your concerns when faced with such a high impression promise and vague supply source information. I would suggest trying to work with the YP representative to learn more about what sort of analytic data you would receive on the YP side. From what you've mentioned it sounds like you are more interested in only receiving local traffic. If this is the case and you're curious about seeing what YP can offer you might want to try out their local search ads which is much less expensive at around $60/month. Sorry I couldn't offer more information, I hope this is helpful!

  • Thanks for that. This is definitely something for us to consider. We're pretty high up organically in the local pack already, but running a mobile-only call campaign would definitely interest us. Thanks for the suggestion.

  • It is not priced exactly the same. They’ll charge based on the bid adjustment applied to the RLSA list (e.g., increase by 10% on the RLSA list) or based on the bids you apply for a specific RLSA campaign.

  • Hi Jerrod! Just wanted to let you know that we actually don't allow job postings like this in Q&A. All good, and I hope the responses you've gotten have been helpful, but as of now I'm locking this thread to any more responses. You can see a list of agencies we recommend here, or you may have some luck on the Inbound.org job board.

  • Hello Kirmeliux! Josh is correct. The redirect is likely causing your issue, especially if you are only seeing the issue on mobile traffic. One fix would be to create two versions of your ad, one targeting the Desktop Right Column & Desktop News Feed with your desktop URL & another targeting the Mobile News Feed with your mobile URL. GA will still combine these data sets into one campaign assuming those UTM parameters match. Also, check to make sure you're using Facebook's new URL tags feature at the bottom of the ad creation page to ensure your tagging is correctly appended. Hope that helps! Trenton
