Any data for Google results page click through rates?
Hi, As I said that there is no such data available in public domain. I would like to suggest you to start with search campaign only and to get high CTR use keyword in Ad headline, use call to action and don't forget to use Ad extensions. ***Initially use only restricted match type (Exact match Type) with few similar keywords in every Ad group . e.g 5-10 keywords. Thanks

Is it better to place PPC when competition is high or low?
Competition does matter, and the landscape does change based on different keywords. Most head terms don't have significant amounts of competition because they are too vague. Something like Wedding Cakes is not a good PPC term when you are looking to make money on your money as fast as you can. It's always best to try bidding on the term (especially on Broad Match Modified) to see how it performs for you, but it is highly likely you will receive a low QS and a low CTR and higher CPCs which make it not as important of a term when you are looking at everything from a returns or profits perspective. As far as low v high volumes for keywords, it's not something that I take into significant consideration unless my client is trying to get close to a specific number or is very concerned about a specific keyword. PPC is about throwing out a wide net for low, mid and high volume keywords, bidding on all of them, and learning over time what creates good return for your particular niche. What works for my business might be a horrible strategy for your business.

Privacy Policy in Adwords
Thanks guys. My feeling is also that it has been hooked onto from the organic side and not directly relevant. I'm not getting any feedback that is going to make me want to test! I'm in the process of getting a client to update their pages as the privacy policy is too thin deep within a T&C link and the question came up.

Thank you. It does help no end. Shows that I'm on a fools errand! Thank you we could have wasted hours trying to fix the unfixable!!!

Content discovery networks legal ?
Hi there Yes, these content distribution opportunities are fine in the eyes of Google - Outbrain actually has pretty strict guidelines to use their service, so they do a good job of keeping spam out of their networks and features. Remember, most of these links go through 302 redirects or nofollow tags before actually getting to your content, and sometimes it's drawn from a widget, meaning the link does not appear in the source code of the page. While I have a hard time attaching any real SEO value to these types of opportunities, I do find brand awareness and engagement value in them, because users click through (create a good headline), read the content and potentially read my other content (if it's easy for them to find). If they enjoy it, they can keep track of more content I am putting out and so on so forth. Keep in mind, this is "ideal", but the reason you use services like this is to get momentum for your content and hope someone likes it enough to share and build brand equity. Hope this helps! Good luck!

AdWords & Iframes?
Hi, "Google AdWords doesn't allow ads for websites that copy the content of other websites, using techniques known as "mirroring" and "framing." So Google will not allow you to run campaign in your case Hope this helps. Thanks

How can I increase quality score when bidding on competitors?
Thanks for the input. I just wanted to see if maybe anyone had any "tips or tricks" regarding this. Since I can't use trademarked names in the ad copy to increase relevance, I think I look at what Alick300 said about CTR and try to increase that to increase QS.

Session and conversion data missing from AdWords campaigns in Analytics
Hi Martijn, Thank you for your response. We're going to have to look into that, I think. It's a bit of a hassle, since we're using an extension that works just fine in other shops. In the source code, the ga() is called in a separate

Disparities between AdWords clicks and Analytics sessions
Hi Whittie, Just to confirm: by "the website itself is on a 303", do you mean that the URLs you're using in Google AdWords 303 redirect to the rest of your site? If so, that can definitely be the issue. Google AdWords tracks with URL parameters, so if those aren't being transferred to the URL that Google Analytics is tracking, things won't track correctly. Like Louis said, if this is the issue, you'll probably have other issues in GA. Is all of your traffic showing up as direct? Best, Kristina

Does having redirects in a Adwords text ad destination URL hurt quality scores?
Hi Rosemary, In simple term answer would be No, that won't have a negative impact on your QS because the landing page is the web page the user lands after all redirects. Second thing I would like to point out is Remember that the most important "component" of the QS is CTR. Thanks

Facebook ads and Google Shopping
Are you looking for help with the technical setup (Shopping) or Power Editor experience? I would try and look at Freelancer.com or you could take a look at this post here from the Moz Community, that should give you some places to search for a freelancer or consultant: http://moz.com/community/q/where-do-you-find-an-individual-freelance-seo

Campaign Tagging (Medium) for Paid Social
Yes, thanks. We've also alked to a few campaign managers that work for agencies doing B2B (which is what we are), and we've decided to tag those links with medium=display. These would be for the ads appearing in the right column of most social sites (not the sponsored ones in newsfeeds).

Best way to automize generation of google ads - API, scripts etc.
Alick & IssueTrack are right on point regarding ad copy. The reason no one has automated ad copy or adwords management yet (to complete non-human interaction automation) is because it generates zero results. If you're looking to be very hands off with the account, you should set your expectations now that it's not going to do what you want it to do. I think what you're primarily seeking are the Google Product Listing Ads. After your one time setup you shouldn't have to edit them again, but they need to be managed on an ongoing basis by a human with the knowledge of how to make them profitable and generate the volume you need. Each time you update your product feed in the Google Merchant account, it will be translated into your ads - but that doesn't mean your bids have decreased with trending amounts of merch on hand. And when you add new products, your ads won't auto-populate. I would recommend github for finding a developer if you still want to continue on with this course of action. I haven't tried it, but I think that an API would be better than a script for what you think you want to accomplish.

Do only paid adwords appear in google shopping
I totally agree. The conversion on my campaign is sick! Mainly because we always appear cheaper next to the big box stores, they have to charge sales tax and shipping, we don't. It definitely is worth every penny and every minute of time it takes to manage it.

PPC sessions being counted as organic in GA
There are several reasons why AdWords & GA data won't match up, and this is one of them, but don't ever expect them to be the same. I know we keep harping that things need to be linked appropriately and I'm glad you've gotten it handled, Anna, but it's the most common reason for any real mis-attribution. And by most common I mean nearly everyone gets it wrong Glad you're on the right track here. There is also an attribution modeling between GA & AdWords. AdWords is a first touch attribution interface while generally GA is last touch. Though your site is relatively new, if you have any return visitors at all from brand then they will appear as Organic and not PPC. Knowing that GWT says you don't have any non-brand traffic and you are sure you don't rank for anything, where is the traffic going? What are the landing pages you are using for PPC? Are they different than the pages organic traffic is getting traffic on? (side note: please tell me that you aren't sending PPC traffic to the home page )

Does anybody know of a good bulk import http response checker? The one I was using has disappeared and I can only find checkers that only take one URL at a time.
screaming frog does not seem to export the whole chain though when there is more than one redirect in a chain. Did you experience the same thing, as it may be a glitch on my side?

Export Product from Magento
HI, There are quite a few professional extensions that should do this with minimal fuss (for example here and here). I haven't tried them so am not recommending any specific extension but if the extension is made by a certified magento partner you shouldn't have too many problems. You can also code it yourself - but this would require a developer with good knowledge of magento to implement.

How to access bing adwords?
It could be that you need to switch accounts in the navigation itself. Or that he hasn't created any campaigns so far.
