Will a javascript rewrite of city names on a home page from PPC traffic affect SEO negatively?
Hello, Another solution that could also help at your conversion rates would be to make a landing page, specific for Tampa. Include great text, Calls to action and track your results. A landing page can make wonders for any PPC Campaign.

Adwords for Video Question?
Yes, you are able to pick individual videos, categories and channels (though obviously this takes a bit of work) and you can also segment by interest groups and remarket as you would with normal PPC. So, the targeting can be really quite specific. You could nail it down to be: people over 18 watching videos on this channel, who live in the following countries.

Is ReachLocal Killing My SEO Work?
As Greg said, as long as they are Noindexing the page or robots.txt 'ing it out of the crawl index, you should be just fine. It's still more than a bit lame that they might be able to take credit for content and layout that you did, though.

Two google analytics accounts on one site.
I'm pretty sure the client is ready to run away, I was an odd situation, we did their original website 7 ish years ago, before we offered any real online marketing. So they were dazzled by the yp sales guys, signed up, then came back to us for a new website - there was much face palming at that point The latest meeting was interesting, I can argue quite nicely too, I made the google 'expert' tantrum and storm out at the end, complete with door slam. I don't think he appreciated a young female with some fairly indisputable evidence putting him in his place and showing up his lack of knowledge. On the openness of the actual accounts - they are stalling on giving us access even to the Sensis interface - no way are they going to show me what is actually happening with Yahoo or Google. Part of the problem is that they send sales guys out to deal with the issue, they have no idea what they are talking about, and are used to dealing with customers who just accept the rubbish answers. I don't even know if the guys I'm dealing with would understand what I was asking to see (didn't know analytics had a real time feature - it seems I programmed that myself to be tricky - I'm really awesome at programming and I didn't even know it!) At the moment they have taken 2 days to look into the auto -tagging option??? The whole account management has been a mess from day 1, there are many more problems than just this. It isn't that I don't want them to see the analytics, and I don't think they would delete stuff etc... purposefully, but it could happen. There really looks like something has stuffed up and it only takes someone to go ' that shouldn't be here - delete profile' and its gone. I wouldn't trust them with my account, so that is the same advice I'd give anyone else. My initial question was mainly due to me being a bit stupid - they told me we'd need to upload extra code via ftp and I just thought - guess they have a different system to what I would do because their account management is different. Then their email request asked to be linked to a generic sensis email, so mostly me not going back to basics.

How important is Ad Group age?
I think history is a factor, but not a major factor. Typically when I begin a new adgroup I bid a higher cpc to get good impression/ctr numbers and slow off later on as it seems that adwords will embrase your adgroup better than not doing it..

PPC for a music shop - advice
I agree, that from a structural perspective you shouldn't include other brands, but also from a Click Through Rate (CTR) perspective, when someone is searching for a brand they are likely to be searching for a major, already trusted site. You need to make sure you can differentiate this change from your other non-branded keywords. Negative keywords are your friend! Make sure your ad copy is strong. Here's how I would suggest you structure this at the campaign level Guitars Drums Guitar Brands Drum Brands Brand (your brand) Competitors (if you have the money, don't start here) Be sure you have a clear Call to Action in your ad, and at least 1 keyword in the Headline. Also, send specific traffic to the most useful page on your site. DO NOT send this traffic to your home page. That won't be useful for your spend.

Google Shopping Best Practices
Yes, you will need to have 2 separate Google Accounts. Be sure to link them though for easier management through a My Client Center. It's basically a shell that holds all accounts so you don't have to use several access points for several different accounts. Super easy.

Adspert and bid management tools.
It does give a lot of power to Google and their algorithms, but at the same time, if it works, it works! It's hard to argue with more conversion volume at a lower CPA. Historically, it's worked very well for me.
