  • I don't use wordpress Finding a tool to post to Google+ seems to be really difficult I never see a Google+ API too.

  • Hey Brad, if it is just you and it is your personal brand you are trying to build then I would stick with that. I have a small business (really just me as a consultant) and I have a business and personal page and it's tough to maintain them both and ultimately, I am putting the same kind of stuff up there so... really, my personal page is the one that gets all the attention. It's different if you are a brand or larger company that people can interact with in different ways but if you are small or primarily a consultant then focusing on your personal page would be my advice. Hope that helps Marcus

  • Hi Monster99, It's a great question. As with anything is SEO/Life it depends on a few factors. Here are the main pros & cons of both.. Hosted Pros *** Others sites will link directly to your domain, when linking to a video* You have greater control over the videos, i.e. no ads, recommend videos etc ** Cons *** Cost * Technical Setup ** Embedded Pros *** If you're a less well known brand, can help your video get shared* Can help build your You Tube Channel * It's free!* Very quick to setup** Cons *** Websites tend to link to You Tube* You can have ads shown* Shows other peoples related video ** If you're just starting out and you're not making very unique linkable content, I'd go with the embed option. Hope that helps Iain - Reload Media

  • According to ShareThis, the plugin should interface directly with GA, but the data we're getting doesn't match up at all. Has anyone else had similar issues?

  • I really need the ability to "search" social platforms for keywords. Hootsuite does this... Sadly, HootSuite is more concerned with HootSuite then with their clients. They put their little owl symbol and "via hootsuite" on every post they post for you. This is completely unacceptable. I really need to search social platforms for keywords. This way I can engage people on social media that are talking about my client's products. I would like a sofware that will private message groups of people and/or post on their walls

  • I feel like this article explains the breakdown of the edgerank factors pretty well.  But before you click and I am hoping I am answering your question, likes are only one piece to the pie. http://www.digitalorganics.com.au/seo/facebook-seo-and-edgerank/

  • I am also interested in finding the best sources for reporting on the effectiveness of using social media. I know that Google Analytics allows lookup of social conversion, assists and last interaction analyis, but I feel like I need more proof. That is, it would be great to say that social media account x, had a conversion rate of x, and that a specific post, tweet, photo, infographic, etc., was the catalyst for the conversion. Follow?

  • Hi Brian, I'm pretty sure this can't be done. It would be worth deciding on which account has the greatest amount of influence and then messaging everyone on the other account to inform them that it will no longer be used. Can I merge or combine two or more Twitter accounts into one? There is currently no way to manage multiple Twitter profiles from a single account or merge multiple accounts into one. We are unable to migrate data (Tweets, following, or followers) from one account to another. If you no longer want one of your accounts, we recommend that you leave one account inactive (or deactivate it, if you want) and tell your followers to find you at your preferred account. https://support.twitter.com/groups/31-twitter-basics/topics/107-my-profile-account-settings/articles/20169956-how-to-manage-multiple-twitter-accounts Hope this helps, Mark

  • Hey Joel, you got some nice suggestions from others just adding on to that, you can also make links to your Google plus profile page. That increase your PA (Page Authority). This helps transfer the link juice back to the blog links or other custom links that you have in your profile. You should read Mike's blog regarding this-  http://www.seomoz.org/blog/how-to-prepare-for-authorrank-and-get-the-jump-on-google Further, you can add your website link in your Profile introduction section of Google plus profile (and you can also chose the anchor text as you like). This will be a good followed link to your site !!

  • Hi Graeme, I have had an issue in the last couple of weeks where a campaign that was tagged to display in Google Analytics wasn't showing anywhere near the amount of traffic I was recording at the other end. My problem was fixed by changing to the latest GA tracking code and placing it in the header as prescribed. I though I would just check to make sure you are using the latest code on your blog?
