Are links between a subdomain and a root domain internal or external?
@ThompsonPaul I've just go trough with your line " (not to mention the subdomain is usually far lower authority than the primary.)" so I want to know you are talking about Domain Authority or Page Authority?

Best way to link from press releases
I think UTM is one of the best methods to track all of your Marketing Campaigns. It has helped me a lot in reducing the complexity of securing a network. You can find the below link helpful to you. https://www.en.advertisercommunity.com/t5/Google-Analytics-Reports/UTM-tracking-Removal/td-p/1276751

Google Indexed Images: Website Vs Social Media
Hey there! This is a fantastic question. I would continue the process of posting your images to social as it will improve the probability of people finding you either way. I know it's tedious but if you find that you get a presence in image search on your site and in Google with both, I would keep it up. You can create a custom action in photoshop where you just take an image into that and it'll brand it with a few clicks (you may have been doing that already). I commend your diligence on doing both as an A/B experiment. I would love to know if these image searches via pinterest are driving response via your site (sales/leads). Thanks! John

Best reports for competitive social engagement insights? (Moz or not)
Looks like the epic products have shut down. Feedly is a feed aggregator so I'm not sure where it fits in. I had Buzzsumo but don't recall it offering this kind of thing. I guess I should revisit that. Thanks!

Anyone have experience using Quuu Promote
Hi! I don't recommend them at all. I found Quuu Promote the beginning of this year and I opted-in so they charged my credit card $49 every single month. Then I realized after that if you don't use your credit, they will take it away after 60 days. So what I did is promote a number of our blog posts but then they were REJECTING them. The sent one email and because they use an automated platform, Gmail puts them in Spam and you don't even realize it. So in short, they took my credits anyway regardless if they see I tried to redeem it. Also, their platform is very bad, they don't tell you where the credits were used or had been taken away. See the attached screenshot. I canceled the service but they still had my CC on file so they kept charging it and 10 months later, i saw I had a $400 charge from them. OH GEEZ! Also, the results were not amazing. One of my posts went through a while back before I opted in on a monthly service. In my own experience Quuu%20Promote%20Invoices.jpg?dl=0

Open graph tags
Hi there! Great to hear you're baking this in from the start. Open Graph is good to include, Twitter also has its own markup and schema could be a real help if you haven't already considered it. Have you read this post by Cyrus Shepard? It has a pretty comprehensive list of different tagging and some good examples. Hope that helps!

Looking for a Social Analytics Reporting Platform
Hi! I know this question is a little dated, but I still thought I'd chime in here in case someone else is looking for an answer! I'll start off by saying that I'm not unbiased, as I work for DashThis. However, as a marketer, it's still a tool that I'd be using even if it wasn't where I worked. It offers over 30 integrations (Google Analytics, Google Ads, Moz (and other SEO platforms), Facebook Ads (and other social media platforms), etc.), and one of the main advantages here is that the learning curve really isn't steep: there's absolutely no coding required when you're connecting your integrations. If you want a report that looks attractive, and is also easy to understand, I think DashThis does the trick pretty well. And if you want to get started even more quickly, you can choose a preset dashboard template instead of starting from scratch. They've been created with our internal marketers to reflect the most commonly tracked KPIs for certain themes (SEO, social media, web analytics, etc.). Plus, you can include as many of your platforms into the same report, so there's no hopping from one dashboard to another, which seems to be what you're looking for, right? You can also create an automated email dispatch schedule so that your dashboards get sent to your clients or the rest of your team (depending on for whom you're creating your reports) automatically. And since they'll receive a URL, they can access their dashboard wherever they are. Plus, your data updates itself automatically - for example, if your client wants to consult his/her dashboard mid-month, your data will be up-to-date until that point. If you have any questions, please do let me know, and since this was posted a while ago, I hope you've found a tool that works for you in the meantime! Cheers, Nathalie

External linking
You should steer clear of creating yourself a rule to say that you need to link out at least once to an external source on every page of your website. On some of your pages, multiple outbound links to great resources can be fine. On other pages, it might not make sense to link out. If an outbound link adds value to your website visitors, then it's a good thing to do. If it doesn't, don't do it. It really shouldn't be any more complicated than that. Linking to (or not linking to) your social media profiles will have absolutely zero impact on your SEO, but could be useful for your audience. I'm not sure what industry you are in but a government white paper should be a superb resource to link to if you think it adds value.

Moz Local Tells Me to Add 2 Photos. I already have tons of photos...
Just to clarify, are you adding them just in posts or specifically using Facebook Business and adding them to your profile photos like in the image shown? If not give that a try, otherwise, I'd say just move on to optimizing something else and assume your good, it doesn't always read dead accurate. i4xsk2G.png

What are your experiences with Google+?
Hi Ross, Several years ago we used to use Google+ with a mediocre level of engagement, but today it is mostly a dead social site. Google has even begun deleted profiles that are unused and appears to be showing signs of dissolving it completely in the near future. In my experience, I would advise you make sure you have a filled out profile on it (usually it will be tied to your Google My Business account), but then not invest a ton of time with posts after it is created.

Does a link in facebook count as a backlink?
A) Generally yes, but hard to say for certain. There are correlations suggesting that maybe some of them do pass influence in some way. B) Probably, but again, likely based on engagement, i.e. if a social link gets very little engagement, it probably won't do much to influence search rankings, but if it gets a lot, it often seems to have at least some positive impact.

I want to know if we buy social signals from website like buyfok.com, how it will affect in seo?
Just don't!!!! Buying in an unnatural number of new followers which causes a significant one off spike which will be seen as fake and more thank likely hinder your efforts than help. As per Casey, concentrate on your content, make it unique, high quality and link worthy. This will in turn attract new natural shares, likes and links. These likes and shares will also put your content in front of like minded people in similar demographics with similar interests. Cheers Tim

Facebook Contests
Hey Matt, From my knowledge this is what I know about FB competitions: You can't ask people to share or tag: "3. Promotions may be administered on Pages or within apps on Facebook. Personal Timelines and friend connections must not be used to administer promotions (ex: “share on your Timeline to enter” or “share on your friend's Timeline to get additional entries”, and "tag your friends in this post to enter" are not permitted)." You have to acknowledge the competition is in 'no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook.' I also recently read the following article which provided some interesting insights: https://www.macandernie.com.au/blog/how-to-run-a-competition-on-facebook Hope this helps
