ECommerce and microdata
Amazing! The question from Christopher was posted in 2012. 2 years later, Volusion still seem to be running years behind as far as online marketing goes. They have a reasonably good system for building an ecommerce website, but when it comes to online marketing, they struggle. They have still not implemented Microdata for products. Not only that but their Google Shopping Feed has to be Manually published, instead of allowing the feed to get updated periodically, like daily etc. They do not support all the latest fields and attribute details that Google Merchant centre now offer such as Mobile Links, Attribute Lengths Making Availability mandatory (which was enforced September 30, 2014) and so much more. For Basic ecommerce the Volusion product seems great. As soon as you wish to really start utilising resources outside Volusion, Good Luck!

Trying to rank on top 3 in Google.co.uk for a moderate competitive keyword by having a .dk domain
There are a number of things that go into the decision to use ccTLDs or not. Will your content change at all across the different country sites? So if you had .dk and .co.uk, would those two sites have different content at all? What countries do you sell to or are you world wide? Do you users in different countries need to see different content? Meaning are there any substantial differences in buying behavior or needs? Answer those questions and we can go from there.

How to avoid duplicate title tags?
Thanks Anthony and Miriam, this site doesn't really have a lot of unique textual content on the pages. It's sort of a portal site where consumers can download travel brochures in each city. I thought Googlebots might read the pages as duplicate because the pages are mostly images and links. There's a one or two sentence description for each page (brochure) as well as a physical address (NAP), but that's about it for text. My thought was that since it's all images and links, Google would have very little to crawl and therefore consider all the pages as duplicates, but the Moz crawl is not considering them duplicate pages from what I can tell. Do you think that since the pages are light on textual content that a duplicate content issue could pose a problem?

Our website uses adaptive design, that send either to mobile or tablet. Do we need to consider Phablets for new designs?
Thanks for the responses. I'll be analyzing the traffic that we get from the different devices. The site is not responsive design; because of the size and nature of the content, we had to go for adaptive design. Right now we have javascript that detects the user agents and deliver the appropriate CSS formatting. I am wondering if Phablets (specially iphone 6plus) will behave more like tablets, or like a smartphones.

Does an age verification home page hurt SEO?
You'd still want the other pages of the site to show up on Google so it defeats the purpose of just having the homepage show that, either way, it will be complicated if I pushed for that and forced redirects, so I would just make it simple and introduce an unblockable popup that logs IPs for that instead of making that verification page the actual home page. That way, I get to keep my optimized homepage and you can make the most of popups like introducing sharing/signups etc. For easy niches, Ive made these things rank in the past but it's been a long time since I've worked on a site that still use verifications that way. It might be harder this time, but if it's easy enough, optimizing that page with some more content and targeted meta details should still work like a charm.

Spotted Hidden Omiod Links in Footer - What do you think is Going on Here?
Looks to me like someone added some kind of SEO tracker to the footer at some point that no one else was aware of. Have you tried installing Ghostery and seeing if it shows up as a tracker? I agree with the other commenter that it is almost certainly not an SEO issue, and that you should be safe removing it.

SSL, SEO, and Site Migration question
This is how I see it after some enlightenment.. Google doesn't really come right out and say this (if you do see that they do, please share). The actual term for the change from http to https is a rewrite. We are instructing the rewrite via a 301 redirect. Once the 301 redirect is in place, we set the canonical to https://www.xxxx.com (or non www if you prefer) Google then awards all kinds of SEO juice for the use of https... Right lol...

Can't Hyperlink After the WP 4.0 Update?
Most of my problems have been pretty well documented. When I run into something a little more obscure, it helps that I brew beer with a pretty awesome WP dev. The guy's either going to speak at the next Austin or Portland WordCamp, I'm not sure which atm. I would bug him, but the lucky chump is ramping up on a great new job. The good news is it appears the site is hosted with Blue Host. Give them a call and they can more than likely roll it back without a fuss. The WP 4.0 update doesn't appear to have anything to do with security. So you definitely have a little breathing room to figure this one out. I noticed that it looks like your right sidebar is missing, from your screen grab posted in WP Support. It would interest you to know that 4.0 made some pretty significant changes to the editor. Without knowing what's banging around in /mu-plugins, I would probably look at NextGen Gallery first.

Web Hosting and CDN for Wordpress Site Load Speed - Suggestions Needed
Personally, I would stay away from Cloudflare (dont hate me LOL) W3 Cache is good. I love WP Rocket though. MaxCDN (find a coupon for a discount) Then any host that you can find that passes your standard. This one is subjective. People think mediatemple is really fast, I've experienced both sides of the coin. Inmotion, heck even hostgator is good. The only advice i could give is to try and test them. Rackspace has been great for me if you like a cloud host but I find digital ocean to be acceptable for me as well as Im not going for ultra fast.

WordPress and Redirects
Pages load correct at: http://www.waikoloavacationrentals.com/kolea-rentals/9g.html And do not load at: http://www.waikoloavacationrentals.com/kolea-rentals/9g So you need to Redirect http://www.waikoloavacationrentals.com/kolea-rentals/9g TO http://www.waikoloavacationrentals.com/kolea-rentals/9g.html You can do this with the line of code in .htaccess Redirect 301 /kolea-rentals/9g http://www.waikoloavacationrentals.com/kolea-rentals/9g.html Let us know if that works? You can also try the redirect plugin, although personally I prefer using .htaccess for redirects

Site is getting crushed by spam traffic and Google Webmaster Tools giving crawl warnings. Also...
RE: "** I'd like to remove most of the blog articles as I want the new site to be very high quality, but isn't it dangerous to do a 301 redirect to the same page for all these articles..."** While others have commented on that, what we've done before on this is to create (note a WP site) new Categories and then 301 all to the master Category post page.... This is or rather has been solid SEO in that it is okay to group like posts....gathered all together on this master Category page and save the linkjuice that way...

Does a Website Overlay Hurt Ranking?
Thank you Travis. You are correct, Cloaking is what I am concerned about. However, there is so much software coming out, that one questions whether an overlay from a 'respected' provider (CrazyEgg and alike) would be ignored by Google for cloaking purposes. The software we wanted to test is Evergage. Has anyone tried out this (type of) software and seen Google response from it? Thanks guys for your opinions.

Wordpress Plugin To Capture Form Completion Data, Before Visitor Hits "Submit"?
Last time I looked at GA's terms of service, it couldn't be used to capture personally identifiable information. This would help Alan see how many people are staying on the page versus how many filled out the form, but not collect the actual data of their content information.

Fixing my sites problem with duplicate page content
That code should automatically 301 redirect all urls with www in them to non www versions - you can check if this is working properly with this tool (for the moment I do not see the redirect working though). So for any duplicates you are seeing because of that specific issue this will fix them. You should then wait for the next moz crawl to happen and should see less duplicates (since these ones will be removed) - this will show you what duplicate issues are still apparent (as mentioned there are a number of reasons that duplicate content can occur) and then you can focus on what kind of duplicates they are and what fix(es) may be needed to address them. It is best to fix one thing at a time and not pile a whole bunch of changes you are not sure about on top of each other - it keeps it easier to bug track if something goes wrong!

QR codes, when to use them
Hi! This post mentions that Diego Gopen is the CEO at uQR.me. If you are Diego, can you please be sure to disclose that you have a relationship to the company you've been recommending in questions that have been dormant for 1-2 years? Thanks so much for understanding!

How does Google look at strings added to a URL
What we're trying to accomplish is to have a non-sequential string for secure applications without a user login (due to business reasons). The string is a unique identifier for a specific application in our system, and will always point at the same form.
