  • Hi Dennis I have a question for you, we are a chain of clinics, so we should use physician or Local Business Schem for Medical Clinic. Regards Aman

  • Ah, I was wondering since they may have entirely different pricing based upon who you talk to. https://www.sitelock.com/plans.php https://www.incapsula.com/pricing-and-plans.html

  • I'm sorry to reply to you so late and  I have used both WordPress and HubSpot beginning in 2006. Everett I respect your opinion this is how I feel about it. HubSpot is a excellent blog however is had some recent restrictions on the amount of traffic you can receive without having to go up to a higher plan. With that said their blog is spectacular. There CMS designed for people that would use WordPress however it cooperates a lot of search tools and marketing Information e.g. landing pages, social media, spectacular analytics, keyword research, you will know if you're doing something wrong on HubSpot it will tell you. I would not say WordPress and HubSpot are apples and oranges but I can see how someone would feel that way. HubSpot and WordPress far much more than your average blog. I would have to say that WordPress has more in common with HubSpot than it does with Ghost ( a pure blogging only system) I think hub spot offers a lot of value and who rule their ROI-you will agree.  They  coined "inbound marketing" and make fantastic additions to websites as well as great websites themselves. The best way to learn about it is to do a 30 day free trial NO credit card needed http://offers.hubspot.com/free-trial-blogging-tool http://www.hubspot.com will show you what is possible in their CMS. Sorry for the delayed response I hope this helps, Tom

  • Hi Peter, Don't really understand your question about permalink & url - as far as I know a permalink is just an url which remains permanent. Could you give an example of what you mean? GWT is checking if pages exist - it's not showing you errors if only a part of the page (like the image is missing) - Screaming Frog is much better to help you with this. If Screaming Frog is detecting the issues, it implies that there are links to these images. When you go to the "Response Code" tab - filter on 4xx errors and click on the image url - you can see in the window below under "inlinks" which pages are linking to this image. Dirk

  • Lesley, Thanks! We have phones and tablets redirected to a mobile friendly version of our site, but just because it says "mobile friendly" in our search results, which I thought meant we're OK, will it still help to have a responsive design?

  • Hi Alan, I totally agree with you about the ease of editing a hand made website if they're build the right way (so the developer knows were to look). My point is mainly about code quality, if it's all spaghetti I think the price quota can be higher then with a CMS system. Just wanted to clear that up.

  • That's depends. Visitors to your site have fonts on there computer already, using these fonts will give you the best load speed, you can look up "web safe fonts" to find these. Using non web safe fonts means downloading font objects, now wether these are downloaded from your web server or from google they still have to be downloaded, if you have a fast server it may be better to host the font objects yourself, if not you may be better downloading from google. Me myself, if I use non web safe fonts I like to host them myself, I don't like having any third part resources on my sites. Thanks

  • Hey Shalin, Assuming you have a large number of comments to deal with on those pages, the best option would probably be to delete those manual posts, then import the full 2000 posts using Wordpress's native import/export funtions, and then delete the posts you don't want. This process should only take 1-3 hours and is easier than your other options below. It's possible to get into SQL and export just the comments table, but because you've manually created those new posts, you would have to manually rewrite all of the post ids that the comments are tied to, and delete all of the irrelevant comments after that.. Plus, the possibility of a small typo messing up the import is high.

  • Hello Rosemary, This is the Nextscript announcement your contractor is talking about: [Update – May 2014] Facebook changed some rules regarding the apps. This means that the Facebook App, Facebook profile or page and the user who authorizes the app MUST belong to the same Facebook account. So please make sure you are logged to Facebook as the same user who created the app. You definitely don't need to give your client's personal FB access to a third party BUT you should create the Facebook App (keys) by yourself and finally go to the wordpress and authorize the access. Detailed instructions here: http://www.nextscripts.com/instructions/facebook-social-networks-auto-poster-setup-installation/ I'm afraid there's no other way! Hope this helps! Luis

  • I'm with Alan on the server side, 1 second is not really good for just doing a request for some links.

  • Oh by the way, here's a post I wrote for Moz on setting up wordpress for SEO: http://moz.com/blog/setup-wordpress-for-seo-success

  • I literally did this, we had 1500 domains and I had to condense them all down into one two things to note: If you are moving Wordpress content into a clean Wordpress install make sure you copy the MySQL database to the new site and change the wp-config file so that it reflects the database that you want to use. If you are moving Wordpress content into an existing Wordpress install it might be easier to just manually edit them. I found that pulling text and importing them into something like TextWrangler allowed me to make sure all the formatting was correct, although the WYSIWYG is good, its not perfect. From there I just uploaded all of my pictures, pasted the new formatted text into the Wordpress text editor and added the photo! Let me know if you have any questions!

  • I tend to agree with Patrick. While an the exact theme may not be achievable, I would strive to make it as close as possible.

  • Like I said, it's very difficult, if not impossible, to diagnose this kind of problem without the URL. Learn more about 301 redirects at http://moz.com/learn/seo/redirection .

  • Hi there At the moment, I don't think this is possible. You could, however, look into image markup and use "description" or "name" attributes to say this is a (surgery or procedure) before photo or an after photo. I have never used this tactic before, but it's something to consider. I would also take a look into health/medical types as there may be items there that can assist. Hope this helps! Good luck!
