Homepage Ranking For Service Keyword (KW Cannibalisation)
Hi Gareth, This is a pretty common issue. Generally your homepage is always going to be your 'strongest' page for links etc so in most cases it makes sense to use it to target your highest level and most important keyword/phrases. If you are ranking well with your homepage for this important phrase then you don't really want to be messing with it unless there is a good reason. For the service page you could consider: 1. Leaving it as is since it serves its purpose for users and site navigation and conceivably supports the ranking of the homepage. 2. Consider slightly reworking to try target a relevant secondary phrase (ie bus rental instead of coach hire for example or private coach hire etc, etc) - assuming your homepage is not ranking as well for these type of searches and they are indeed relevant to your business. The above assumes you ARE actually ranking well for "coach hire" with your homepage. If you are not ranking as well as you like then that might change your approach. Of course, if you did get the hire page to rank well then.... what phrase would you target with your homepage? Hope it helps

SEO audit for ccTLD sites
Hi Sanna, It sounds like those are technically separate websites, so in my experience, these would each require their own SEO Site Audits. If conducting a true Moz SEO Site Audit ... The good news is, if they're all for the same client, your Background Info page data will likely be (mostly) the same for each of these sites, and possibly the Goals page data also, and you'll only need to share all of the Site Audits information with one client, which will be a huge time saver as well. Best, Zack

I have over 12,000 permanent redirects. Is this okay?
Thanks Ryan. Very helpful advice. I restored to my backup and asked my web host to redirect to HTTPS. No more 12,000 redirects!

XML sitemap generator only crawling 20% of my site
Yes Yoast on WordPress works fine for sitemap generation. I would also recommend that. Using on all of my blog sites.

Is it worth keeping a decades-old domain that's merely 301 redirecting to the main domain?
Thank you everyone. Taking a look further, I found that: - Google Analytics shows that this old domain used to get traffic, for years, but back in January of this year, the traffic more or less came to a halt. I suspect this is approximately when a former SEO put in 301 redirects for this domain, and Google recognized it. - And in a site:{domain.com} search in Google, along the same lines, I found that only one page is currently being crawled -- the homepage. - BUT in an advanced search in Google, there are 171 mentions of "{domain}.com" in Google still. While many of these are mentions of the owner's email address, this leads to recommending hanging onto the old domain, especially if it is inexpensive. - AND in Moz Pro, I can see that while there is certainly not much happening with the old domain, it does have some link equity, which is being passed to the main new domain name. Conclusion With all this said, I told the client that the bottom line is that I've looked into the potential value of this domain, and do feel it's worth hanging onto -- especially if it is relatively inexpensive. Thanks again, so much, for chiming in on this one. Should anyone else have any vastly different suggestions, I'm all ears. Open each of those reports to see which core web vital is throwing a flag. If you're unsure how to do that, run your pages through Google PageSpeed Insights. It should give you an apt description of what's wrong and how to fix it.

.com vs .co.uk
The domain .com or .co.uk does not matter unless it is quality site. If it is a quality website it can help you to grow.

Do you think this case would be of a duplicated content and what would be the consequences in such case?
Hi, thank you for the answer. Everything's clear regarding the topic in question. Even on the pages that potentially might arise as duplicated, we can make things clearer to search engines with a good use of canonicalization. Best regards to you, sir!

Should I disable the indexing of tags in Wordpress?
I would recommend to disable tags indexing as there are cases where you are multiple tags for same topic. You can index categories as mentioned above that they are more structure and define your website in some way. If you write custom excerpt for each post, it helps categories to have unique content for each post except.

Site Title When Your Domain name is the keyword
Hi everyone, Thanks for the input. I have made significant adjustments to the design of the home page, adding text content etc. I have noticed my competitors rank for my keywords from their category pages and the category pages I have that rank, rank really well. My issue is coming from certain categories not ranking, instead, google uses my home page. Specifically these categories. https://usedcubicles.com/product-category/used-office-furniture/ https://usedcubicles.com/product-category/used-cubicles/ I want google to use my category instead of the home page to rank. I have no clue how to fix this. I have added links, content to the categories, changed the home page so its not so similar to the category itself. Google has marked those categories as conical but they just dont rank for the obvious keyword (H1). Also, please take a look at the new design of the product pages. The intention was to provide more information about each product not only to increase conversions but to decrease bounce rate. So far, we have seen a 15% increase in conversions. https://usedcubicles.com/product/knoll-reff-cubicles-fully-loaded-rare-find/ The only thing I can think thats holding my categories back is backlinks to the category URL'S
