%20 Rewrite in CMS doesn't get picked up by Search Engiens
Hi Irving Fully aware of that, but if I am not mistaken a URL with a - in and one with %20 in is still seen as 2 different URLs and is duplicate content if they both have the same content on? Here is an example of the SERP, you can check on it is the URL that is indexed with the - but once you click it, it goes off to the %20 version, however, if you navigate through the site to this blog post it shows as the - URL, now comes the interesting part, if you use the site search and search for "Southern Right Whale" this blog post comes up first and it is indexed in the site search as the %20 version. Here is the serps let me know your thoughts. Chris.

How to avoid seo loss after URL restructuring / change?
I think there is something you can do with the old and new sitemap that helps too. It is on this forum somewhere.

What would you consider an over optimized title tag? [examples included]
Hi Paul, My personal opinion is that adding the company name is a redundant (to the url) waste of space. Possible caveat, if the company name is short and does something for CTR. Generally no though.

How Come Meta is different based on different query?
Actually, both are reasonable in my opinion EGOL. I was stuck because my local person had put the numbers in and she kept saying they are not showing and I kept saying they are. Here is the only other variable I failed to mention: there is a PPC ad on the query with the old meta term. Thanks,

Large number of new web pages to launch in bulk or to stretch over longer time?
If you have done this you might make a lot of money.

SEOMoz and Facebook Graph Search
Graph Search is personalized to each user based on their friends and connections, so it doesn't make sense to talk about "tracking rankings". The actual search engine component of Graph Search is handled by Bing, so doing well in Bing should help you do well in Graph Search as well.

PDF linkbuilding - pictures or no pictures since they might print it
If the graphics and charts will make the report look good and add value to the data then I'd add as many as I felt were neccessary.

My Google author pic disappeared from SERPs
I am the owner of a company that imports cars from Germany to the Netherlands. Our website is www.dasimport.nl and has been renewed about one month ago. I implemented the Google authorship sitewide and after a week my photo started to show up. So everything worked fine until yesterday it started to disappear. At this time it doesn't work for the home page but does still work for only a few subpages. For example if you search for "BTW bij importeren auto uit Duitsland" in Google my picture shows up. However if you search directly for Das Import or any term where my homepage ranks on it doesn't show up anymore (it did before). I cannot think of anything that I have done that might have influenced it. My google+ profile picture is still the same. Does anybody have a clue what might have caused this? Any help would be appreciated.

How do you de-index and prevent indexation of a whole domain?
Fastest way to do it would be through a combination of Google Webmaster Tools and Robots.txt / noindex, nofollow meta tags. Firstly if your domain hasn't been verified within GWT, go through that process. Then proceed with the remove URL request within GWT. (Image Attached) You will need to upload a robots.txt and/or implement the noindex meta tag within the header of the pages you no longer want indexed. Example Robots.txt: User-agent: * Disallow: /offendingportal/ Example Robots Meta tag: That should be enough to get rid of the offending content from within the SERPS and prevent it from being re-indexed. removeurl.png

How do you achieve Google Authorship verification on a site with no clearly defined authors?
Hi Paul Thanks for your response. That makes a lot of sense, thanks for the clarification!

New Site Structure and 404s. Should I redirect everything?
The 410 Gone essentially means "I'm aware that page used to be here, but it has been taken away on purpose and it won't be coming back". Whereas 404 Not Found means "I don't know anything about that page - as far as I know it never existed". You can see how the first scenario applies to your pages much more specifically than the second. But as Tom points out, if you don't have the URLs in your sitemap or xml sitemap and nobody's linking to them, the 404s will eventually cause the Search engines to drop the URLs from their index. Frankly I'd just let the URLs drop and spend the time on something more valuable. Go earn a few more links Paul
