If external linking passes juice, why not just nofollow all external links?
Because the engines ignore the link juice completely. You won't move up in rankings at all.

Are backlinks from sites like diigo useful for SEO?
I took a look at this site, and while I am not completely finished seeing if there is any value. You can check your analytics / webmaster tools and see if that site refers traffic, brings users, or the link is valuable enough to show up in any number of linkbuilding tools. That being said, any link that is contextually valid, and brings ANY users to your site is a win. Given that DIIGO's deal is to tag and annotate pages it would seem valid as the context is definitely related to the site it will link to. The next question would be are the links follow? can google see, crawl and index the pages? Cheers, TODD

Parameter In URL passing SEO Value
I can't imagine how having multiple versions of a URL pointing to the same page could have any seo benefit. I would canonicalize the URLs. It shouldn't cause any problems with your tracking efforts either I'd think.

Ranking Inner Pages or the Main Page?
First off, if the keywords are pretty related, having similar synonyms, then it can be pretty easy to rank for all three. For Example, I used my home page to target: Car Dealerships City, City Car Dealerships, City Used Cars, City State Car Dealerships, etc. Since all of these are so relevant to each other, it made things as easy as just talking about my business in my city-state. However, my internal pages are very specific: City state auto repair, city state car rentals, etc. Point is, if your top three keywords are about the same topic, then it can be easy to rank for all three on the home page. However, if they are different, and highly competitive (Diets and Gyms), then you are going to need to split up the content into different pages to rank well. As for which pages you should focus on, it depends on your current rankings, and traffic. If you currently rank pretty well overall for your home page, then get it bumped up to the top to increase traffic. After that, start working on all the other pages. If you aren't ranked well yet, and you don't have much traffic, then go after a niche phrase with decent search with all your internal pages. This will help your bottom line more - easier conversions - and still help your overall domain authority. I'm having to turn around, and do this with all of my websites that I took over (In-House SEO).

How long does it take for google see my new backlins and take an effect on my rank?
One of my early mentors told me that he sees benefit about a month after the initial link is posted, and that the links seem to get stronger roughly 5-6 months in. This seems to be true in my own analytics, though perhaps I'm reading into it a bit. Some rough testing on my part seem to show that it takes about a month for a link to directly affect rankings though, certainly.

Where should Youtube videos come from?
James, Maybe we didn't state the issue clearly. What we wanted to know was "should videos posted on our regular web site come from our youtube channel exclusively or from both ours and a partner's channel? Is there some benefit to having videos from multiple channels or from just ours? Thanks for your help, Lowell

Can Seomoz Help Tell Me What General or Real estate directories are quality & to submit too??
Keri provides a couple of great links and Dr. Pete's blog is great. For real estate, explore ActiveRain as it is a true Real Estate networking community with traffic near 1mm per month. Since I have some RE clients, I would suggest you are going about it the correct way...slow and steady wins the race.

OSE - why are some external links not showing up?
Thanks both of you! Your explanations really helped. I guess I just assumed all of my links would be picked up. Back to the lab!

Great idea to get back links in short order; however the links would be unrelated. . Is it worth the effort . BTW, it's a white hat method. Should I proceed?
Well, after careful consideration, I passed on the idea for many of the reasons you mentioned, although the primary reason was the cost benefit analysis. The idea if others want to use it and provide me a link for the idea, it is below. The idea is based on the "The Day in the Life of America" project done in the 1980's where they had 500 photographers take pictures on one single day and then they created a book. (There was no internet or digital photographers back then) Anyway, the idea was going to be called "Triple Eleven" for 11/11/11. The idea was to launch a site which allowed people to upload photos taken on 11/11/11, input their location, time and a description. Then after the 11th, let the public vote and choose the best picture. I thought this could have very real viral implications if promoted correctly and by offering a great prize. Thanks again for the input.
