Pitching your products to a niche... how to be in the right place at the right time?
Hi, The answer to the first question is yes - many publications, including niche titles will have a features calendar available, or will regularly email enquiring if anyone has products, news or can help with features... Second question? In addition to HARO and Pressloft, I'd look at the big PR lists etc. It does mean dealing with some spam requests, but can be worth it if you have the time.

Should I build internal links to my homepage?
Well, yeah, you should avoid linking to your homepage from content. But there should be at least one link to your homepage on every page. In the header. Header + Footer also works.

Other websites copy content and giving a link back
In my opinion it is bad to allow infringing content to appear on other websites. These are duplicate content. It is possible that they will outrank you in the SERPs or result in your page being filtered from the search results. Also, if you work hard to produce this content then you want people coming to your site to see it - not to the websites of others. If it appears on websites all over the web then why should people visit your website? Finally, if these folks use the content and give you an attribution link, that communicates to everyone who sees it that your content is available for reuse. Google says that they are good at recognizing the original source of content, however, I know from experience that they are far from perfect. Some SEOs believe Google, and advise clients to distribute their content as a way of earning links. I would not listen to them. We tell infringers to take our content down and when they don't comply we either submit DMCA to Google, their revenue source and their hosting - or we have an attorney send them notice. We are sending out three notices today.

Comments on Blogs
I actually did this before I ask the question for one of the directory "child care in Singapore", recently according to data given by moz, the ranking moves up. Of course, I also comment on those related blogs.

Sudden drop in external links... why?
Hi Brandon, It looks like you've changed the original question... The original question was to do with a drop in the number of internal links. Are you sure it's external links you are talking about? Cheers, David

Spammy links redirecting to homepage of site -
Dan/James, thanks for the replies. The company owns the domains themselves. Turning off the redirects seems like the easiest, and best thing to do. Cheers guys.

Backlinks from different TLD's impact
Hi Justen, It wouldn't make a huge difference in terms of what it will do for you. Irrespective of language, Google will look at where a link comes from and it might do something for you (but it might not as well), but I really wouldn't worry. If these links are being earned as opposed to you going out after them, then sit back and watch them roll in. If you are going after links yourself, then as long as some (most?) of the sites make sense to your audience, then again, you are good. -Andy

301 redirect single page
Hey there, Sorry for the late reply. For some reason, I don't receive email updates, even if it's ticked. Anyway, you're right that search engines will pass the link juice to the new domain. Regarding the old domains, Google Search Console will show you all the link as long as the domains are still being set up there. Therefore, I'd recommend to keep all the domains in GSC for the future. Regarding the strategy, the best way would be the 1:1 permanent redirects 301. This means that you redirect every unique page from the old domain to another unique page from the new domain. You can create Google Spreadsheet where the first column would represent the old URLs and the second column the new URLs. In this case, you have higher chance not to miss anything. Hope this is the answer you're looking for. Otherwise, feel free to shoot some other questions. Cheers, Martin

I recently had someone say a resource page is a bad idea. What do you think?
Joe, As EGOL points out, you can make an argument for either side - keep or remove. It's really up to you. Things to consider: Is there a demand for this in the marketplace? Is your page currently ranking? Is the page useful to your audience? Is it visited repeatedly and for some time? Is it shared with others? Is there something better already out there? Can you beat it? You said your page is already incomplete and outdated. Are you willing to update and maintain it on an ongoing basis? Would you get more bang for your buck spending that time on something else?

1.6 million internal links?
Well, pretty much every page on that website is stuffed with internal links. Even a simple blog post has like 50 links to their main and category pages. This page has more than 100 links http://www.cartridgesave.co.uk/toner-cartridges/Samsung/Xpress-SL-C430W.html And they have 19,000 pages in the index, so I'm not surprised they have that many internal links.
