Link building for manufacturing business... Tips?
Agree with EGOL above. Blogging and creating helpful content that people visiting your website would like to read is a great strategy. You could also see if any businesses that you buy from or that buy from you have a "Resources" or "Partners" section on their website and request to be added to it if it makes sense. Making sure your listed on credible online business directories like Yelp, Angieslist, BBB, Manta, YP, etc wouldn't hurt either, even if you ship nationwide. Once you have blog posts and content written, you can Google "manufacturing blogs" or "manufacturing company lists" or "manufacturing forums" and see if they are credible websites, see if you can participate in them, request to be listed, or start to build relationships with the website owners to see if you can send over your blog posts/content to see if it can be featured.

BBB links - worth it?
Yeah I noticed the same even for paid customers. At first I thought it was for unpaid customers, as there is a way to setup your profile via someone requesting to set it up, but not get a followed link. However checking paid aka Verified accounts it does not have a follow link, really interesting..

Better Business Bureau
BBB called me yesterday and I decided to give them a chance to convince me of their value rather than hand up on them. When I asked them what value they will they produce for my business the number one answer was the "SEO benefit" of getting a link from their website. This was over half of the guy's answer. So, it seems that the BBB is in the business of selling links, but when I went to BBB website for my region, all of the links to businesses were "nofollow".

Gained a number of new 'do-follow' links - Good or Bad?
If the links are of quality, it is always good to win new ones

What are the best Guest posts?
I absolutely agree with what Chris stated about guest blogging. I would say also, that branching out and submitting either article ideas or actual articles where relevant in the publishing sphere could also be a beneficial strategy to enhance your link building content efforts. I know larger publishing sites like the Huffington Post allow for freelance submissions.

Existing links on domain with previous history - keep or disavow?
Hi Gareth, IF the old backlinks to the recently bought domain come from a different topic and you recognize that them are not related in any way: Yes, you shoud disavow them. Best luck. GR.

I just need to how can i get high profile backlinkd on my website
For the site speed, Thomas gave a lot of great tips in his comment above. For backlinks, I would recommend starting with a competitor backlink analysis using Moz's Open Site Explorer, Ahrefs, or SEMrush. Simply put the websites you see ranking high on page 1 of Google for the keyword phrase you would like to target and see what "dofollow" links they have going to their website. Once you compile a list of the backlinks your competitors have see which ones you can go after. The best way to get backlinks is creating awesome, shareable content that is helpful in your industry, and then promoting it and doing outreach for it in any way possible. This can be in the form of a blog post, guide, or resource page on your website. Some quick backlink wins though, would be doing a press release and getting listed on high DA directories (see Moz local).

Instructables site - follow and nofollow
Hi Alex, It totally depends on the website to give a follow or no-follow link. But yes you can convince them for do follow the link by justifying how your article can help their website too. If you will be able to do so, they might provide you do-follow link. All the best, Varun

Does link have any value?
How did you discover that you received this link? If it was through some kind of alert or a tool, a link to the source page should be available to you as well. Additionally, you can try the site search controller in google to see if the link has indexed. site:sourcedomain.com targetlinkhere If Google is indexing it, then you are getting some value from it. How much? Links are valuable in a bunch of ways, the two top of mind for me: relevant click through traffic and/or link juice. Depending on the type of page the link is coming from, it's common for sites to have a rel=nofollow meaning it's not passing link juice, however it doesn't diminish click through traffic. All of which supports contextual links that are well placed and from sites related to yours. Hope that helps and feel free to provide a bit more information for further support. Cheers, Brent

DA without PA, Does it help?
It probably depends on the site. There are some high-authority sites that are basically platforms for other sites, so in that case, no. I would think a relevant link from an integral but low-authority page on a high-authority site would be a plus, especially because the authority of that page might be higher than you think (maybe Moz just hasn't found its other links yet, for example). As far as your problem, to start, I'd take a close look at the pages that used to convert and see if there are any on-site improvements you can make. Use the on-page grader and make sure you have your bases covered on that end.

Wrong page ranking and rank drop, help!
Thank you James. We are just keeping things as they are right now and working on backlinks. Any more ideas from others on this topic? For what it's worth I also discover a potential bad/penalty link. I asked another question about this here.

Does spinning content work any longer?
Hi, English is not my mother tongue but I'm looking for a content spinning services provider to deliver hundreds of description for the same products categories. For example, I have 380 product descriptions for 1 category, 450 for another category, etc. and I have 87 categories to cover. I think content spinning is the only solution to generate these descriptions in a reasonable time frame and at a reasonable cost, too. What do you think? Best regards, Sophia. [link removed by admin]

How to make Form Type Links have "Nofollow" attributes
Are you saying that the links are on another website linking to yours? If that's the case you don't mark those links as "nofollow" (you can't, they're on someone else's website), instead you would add those URLs to your disavow file. Otherwise, if the link is on your site and you don't have an editor to mark the link up for you, just add rel="nofollow" to the link in html.

What are the SEO implications of high quality backlinks from US-based websites to UK-based websites?
I'm not an International SEO expert. This is just my opinion. I agree with Thomas that links from high-quality destination sites are going to help your rankings regardless. Just to confuse things, I also agree with you that you need to strike a balance when it comes to just how many of your links come from other destinations. If, for example, you want to rank for SEO in the UK and your website has a majority of incoming links from the UK, I would expect those links reinforce and help boost your UK rankings because Google knows people prefer to shop locally. If, on the other hand, you are trying to rank globally, then you'd want (and benefit from) inbound links from other destinations as well. So I think your assumptions are good. Reputable inbound links from other destinations are helpful so long as they don't confuse Google about which audience you're targeting. I guess you could use other international SEO techniques like hreflang tags, your URL structure, geo-targeting in GSC, and localized content to reinforce that if you were worried. I don't know of any case studies on this topic.

I've published my forst infographic and started outreach to get links. Should I use a canonical URL and if so how?
Thanks guys. I feel confident that this is not something that is a must (especially as it doesn't look like my infographic has been particularly loved out there) but when i have a spare mo I think I will add the code Linda suggested to the head of the page its on.

Page not Ranking I feel helpless!
I'm using a combination of tools but the ones that returned errors were Avast and McAfee - basic options but still worth having a look at. It's a better explanation than the alternative! Links are indexed with every crawl cycle. It usually takes 2 weeks or so to register new backlinks on your site. The content will really help, and from what you are telling me it sounds as if you are on the right track - just keep finding those relevant blogs and continuing to be a helpful poster in those communities. The links and the trust will come from that. All the best! Rob
