I have a few competitors ranking VERY well for exact keyword match URL. They have a single hosted page, when a customer clicks to buy inventory ir re-directs to there main url. Will google eventually catch on to this? Excellent position, very little backlink/seo work.  Is this something that I should also look into for my own site?

When we begin to start ranking organically is it usually a slow gradual process? Or if we've been doing everything correctly, would we see a big traffic spike?

Is it normal for Organic traffic to show for keywords or phrases that I am not even targeting? All of this traffic spiked within a couple days and I cant figure out why? I ve been building backlinks, doing all the correct things. Just took me by surprise. Typically when you begin showing organically is it usually a slow progression?

I am still new at Seo, and am trying to keep everything as clean and white hat as possible. If Google ever detects an issue will I be notified via webmaster before anything occurs? Now I am very nervous and not sure what to do? If you were in my situation how would you handle this? The site is roughly 2 years old, in a med-high competition market. With literally thousands of potential pages for custom content which I am working on daily, myself, as well as outsourcing.

Should I block the all template stype pages? I am lost now as to what to do, they sites overall performance has been pretty good.

No we have the ability to write custom content for each page, but the amount of time and work is monstrous.  We have large competitors that do the same thing. What would you recommend doing? The site is live event tickets, music, sports,theater, so you can imagine just how many pages are there.  What it allows us to do is write a performer default copy, and there is a tag that that will match artists searched.  Im not 100% sure what to do now? Any help appreciated!

I am working on a site with 1000s of inventory pages. i am slowly building links and writing custom content for pages that will bring best ROI.   Will i have issues on templated pages with minor changes.currently traffic is pretty good.

site.com/blog our host wants us to go blog.site.com for security reasons.

We wanted to start hosting our own blog and was wondering (long term) if we are using embedding links to our inner pages in our blog entries if it would be a problem with Google long term?  We have a designer that suggestes a custome look to match the site, and leave the wordpress plugin.

Should we continue to contribute to blogger, and wordpress (free) if we are hosting our own blog?

How important is a branded blog name?  We were going to host it and name it

xxxxxx.com/ourblog

Do "Branded" urls work the same way as exact match url's in google eyes? Is there any harm in doing this myself? What would be the easiest way to setup a single page, have somone host it, and have re-direct link to my homepage or inner pages?

A competitor of mine has a bunch of branded terms that they purchased, with backlinks point to their main site, is there a specific reason they do this? If I analyze the links on the "branded url" theres it has very little juice/authority? Is it worth it to do this?

ex  www.siteCOUPON.com.

or www.mainsite.biz

I have a .ca and something similar to our site re-directing through register.com in Iframe. But would they just be using those terms because it has high search volume? Would this help me in anyway?

Yes Follow No Follow, as well as all other link options, (broad links) (exact backlinks), blogs, PRs' Blog comments, directory submissions, PR1-PR8-9(ifpossible). Reason I ask is b/c I have a competitor how is doing everything wrong yet ranking SO WELL. Im pulling my hair out, analyzing their links they are 80% directory submissions, 70-80% exact match backlinks, and they pages are so stuffed with keywords its not even funny, yet google places them within the top 10-20.

What I was thinking of doing is have a "Not in Stock" but sign up for our newsletter when they become available option. This way they do not bounce back out and move forward on the site.

With the current way that we have it setup now would we have to worry about duplicate issues? If I search on our xxxxxx.ca domain, regardless of where we are on the site is always .ca none of the custom pages or sub directories show.
