I think that depends on the sector you're in. There are specialist PR companies per sector who will most likely do a better job for you than a general PR company. For example, I use http://www.newspress.co.uk/ as I have a couple of clients in the automotive sector.

Pretty much agree with Chris’s answer on this one! Press Releases still works but I believe with the period of time the SEO value of Press Release will go down so it is a good idea to use it naturally but do not specifically add it in your SEO strategy for link grabbing. If you have any news that you really want people to know, there is no problem in going with PRs (if using links try sing naked links or brand name as an anchor text) but do not use it just because you need a link with your desired anchor text on it!

as Sheldon said. A page that is in the Search engine index. do a search for site:mydomain.com and you will see your indexed pages

I don’t really have any study available with me that proves that OBL is going to help you life your DA even a bit but if the link that is going out to authority site will help enhance user experience then you should use it without any second thought! OBL to quality sites can allow your visitor’s to trust you and you can get positive brand image but SEO value of OBL in my opinion is questionable.

There is no way you should use no follow tag for your internal links... as Branagan said no follow tag should only be used when you are linking to the site you don’t trust. Obviously you trust your own website and this is the major reason why you should do follow all link that are pointing back to your own website (to some other pages). Hope this helps!

sad sad situation for the article directories! sounds like their time has come and past.

good thing I just found out about it, would have been a waste of time to write a quality content for this site and get no link juice. Although visitors referred do count, we were not banking on Squidoo for anything more than link juice. Time to get real serious in guest blogging. I just need to network and that is the hardest step as far as my research shows... Any ideas where a good writer with very few people in his network of fellow bloggers can get a good start at this?
