Of course, but it's a pain in the bleep to do that over and over again for each KW. Thanks though.

RE: How Does the On-Page Grader Know about my Target Keyword? Or how can I tell it?
Ok thanks for the clarification. We try to take a 1-2 keyword per page focused approach so I was trying to wave my hands at the grader to say "over here"
Thanks again!

Keyword Difficulty Tool - Bulk Data of Specifics?
For the keyword difficulty tool, if I want to see the details, I have to click on the keyword in order to see the list of the competitors and their DA and RLRDs.
Is there a way to download this list for all of the keywords and their DA and RLRDs? The only bulk I can download is the list of keywords in my difficulty tool list along with their Bing search volume and keyword difficulty %.
Thanks!!!1

How Does the On-Page Grader Know about my Target Keyword? Or how can I tell it?
So we've optimized a home page for a particular keyword, "blue widgets tx". But the on-page grader is giving information about "tx blue widgets", "blue widgets in texas", etc. and telling us we are an "F" for these keywords.
Is it possible to tell the on-page grader, "Hey, just worry about 'blue widgets tx', and forget about those other ones"? I know I can do it by hand, but it will take forever.

RE: LocalBusiness vs. Physician
Well thanks for your openness and your suggestion. I agree that it makes logical sense that if you are an MD, to go as an MD. Many thanks!

RE: LocalBusiness vs. Physician
Thank you for your reply. And yes, if the website doesn't come up for the Dr.'s own name in search then we've got bigger fish to fry.
But all things being equal, as an adjunct to other traditional SEO techniques, does the "physician" schema.org classification make any difference over "LocalBusiness"?
It is really a semantic difference, or does the subcategory under "LocalBusiness" really make a signifigant difference?
Then again, I would imagine that it coudn't hurt, especially if the SE's decide in the future to actually use the subcategories (physicians, lawyers, etc).
Thanks.

LocalBusiness vs. Physician
I have a physician who is a client and I'm wondering: is there any advantage to having their schema.org as "LocalBusiness" vs. Physician?
Clearly as Physician is a sublisting, it should be fine. But I'm just curious. Other than future-proofing is there any "real-time" advantage?
Thanks for any insight!

Moz Crawl Test: Referrer is sitemap.gz?
Hi,
I'm looking at a crawl test report, and I'm seeing that most of the pages have the sitemamp.gz file listed as the referrer. As I recall in my other reports the referrer is usually the root domain - unless of course there's a redirect.Does having sitemap.gz as the referrer indicate a problem? If so, what problem does it indicate?
Thanks!

2013 - Google Places/Business to Google Plus Local
Hi,
Much of the reading I've done has suggested that existing Google Places/Business Page (with "About" and "Photos" on top) will be automagically "upgraded" to Google Plus Local pages (with "About" and "Photos" and "Reviews" and all the other Google Plus items).
However, is there a way to force an upgrade? I have a Google Places/Business Page and when I go to "manage page" it basically wants me to create a separate Google + Page for the Business. Is this the correct thing to do? Do I need to create a Google + Page for the company first, and then try to merge the Places listing with the new Google + Page for the business?
Thank your for helping me clear this up!

Thanks I really appreciate your reply!

RE: Schema.org implementation for physician's office vs physician herself?
Thank you! But as long as the code is in the footer of each page, why do I need to add it again on the contact page?
Thank you!

Schema.org implementation for physician's office vs physician herself?
Hi,
Regarding schema.org microdata, which page(s) should have the microdata?
1) http://schema.org/Physician -- appears to be about the office. Since we have all of the contact/address info in the footer on each page, should we do the same with microdata? I can't seem to find a suggested implementation on schema.org
- Assuming an office has multiple MDs, how should the docs be listed since the physician schema appears to be for the office, not for the individual doctors?
Thanks for any insight!

Microsoft/Bing Webmaster Tools
I am a web developer and I have multiple clients for whom I manage websites and I have a couple of questions.
-
I personally have microsoft account. Should I create a second ms account for my company? As I would like to keep my personal and business interests separate.
-
For my clients who already have a microsoft ID, should they create a second microsoft ID for their businesses? And for services such as bing for business?
This is the protocol I follow for Google, but I want to see if MS is the same.
Thank you!

RE: Google authorship and multiple sites with multiple authors
To clarify:
Assume the OP's parent company is "Acme Widgets" and has a Google + Busines page for "Acme Widgets". He has established rel="publisher" between this business profile, and the "Acme Widgets" main company website.
Now 6 months later Acme Widgets opens up a new website -- "The Widget Training Site" -- which is a separate site, but falls under the "Acme Widget" umbrella.
Can the OP also add "The Widget Training Site" to the "Acme Widgets" Google + Page? I've tried to so something similar, and I can only link one website to one google + page.
Or is there a way to add multiple sites to one google + business page.
Thanks for your insight!

RE: How "much" schema.org is "too much"?
Thanks for the reply. The link is great!
And other than "rel=author" (which I know shows up ), are there other "critical" ones to have?
-
How "much" schema.org is "too much"?
-
In terms of adding schema.org information to web pages, how critical is it for SERP?
-
Can anyone recommend a model of what to tag? For example, on a single blog post I could tag the "article" and the "author", but I could also tag the logo that's in the header on every page. How much is "enough"?
-
What is the relationship between schema.org and rel="author" tags?
Thank you!

RE: Moz Crawl Test: WordPress sites with and without /feed and /trackback entires?
So I solved the problem (or at least figured where it was coming from). On this particular site, under the comments area, there is a link for "trackback url" and a link for "comments rss feed". Naturally these are ../trackback and ../blog so that's why the crawl is picking them up. They are 301 redirected to the "parent" page so that's why they are not a duplicate content issue. Thank to everyone for their help!

RE: Moz Crawl Test: WordPress sites with and without /feed and /trackback entires?
Thank you.
When you say "TrackBacks are from people posting either identical or similar content to WordPress.com", what do you mean? I thought trackbacks were notifications of links back when someone links to your content?
And why does the codex recommend blocking feeds and trackbacks in robots.txt?
Thanks again!

Moz Crawl Test: WordPress sites with and without /feed and /trackback entires?
I have multiple WP websites and on some of the websites, on my Moz Crawl test, I see an entry for every blog post but also entries for /feed and /trackback for that single blog post. For example,
www...com/someArticle
www....com/someArticle/feed
www...com/someArticle/trackback
1. Can anyone explain why the Crawl test is picking up the /feed and /trackback items? Is it simply because they are 301 redirects to the original post (www...com/someArticle)?
2. What setting(s) in WordPress are making this information appear? Or is it just that the site(s) that have the /feed and /trackback are displaying "normal" behavior for a WP site with a lot of trackbacks and feed entires?
3. Should /fee and /trackback, as well as /author be blocked in robots.txt?
Thanks in advance for your advice and input!
