_I d not think it would be an issue if your website has unique content even after 1 year. You can then use “Fetch As Google Bot” to speed up the indexing thing [unless Google introduces something else in the meantime]. _

You can control this by demoting certain URL from Google Webmaster Tools. There is no way you can add links that will appear in the site link. It is decided by Google alone.

No way ..   however, Google Webmaster Tools never have any link to this tool probably they feel that it is not safe for everyone and people may try this powerful feature for fun.

You are creating duplicate content and since Amazon.com is highly trusted, this website is not going get penalized for having duplicate content. Rather your website will get affected. Create unique content and if you ever need to submit your product to sites like Amazon, you need to create unique content.

It can be that your backlink sites have expired or they might have removed links. This is natural thing. Nothing to worry about.

And personally what I feel is that these pages will be considered duplicate and therefore, you need to fix them by setting up canonical for the preferred version. Or if there is one standalone page, you need to block other pages/ color variations from search engines. Let me know what you think.

However, you need to make a 301 from old domain to new domain.

Now, if we take it from the branding perspective, it will be really nice to get people land on the old domain and then using meta refresh tag to get them landed on the preferred domain. But somehow search engines do not like meta refresh thing and of course, SEOwise it will not be adding any value.

I would rather suggest you to use that infographic to domainname.com/page . And then create an embedded code with the link of the page within the code. Once done, you can go ahead and submit that infographic in some infographic submission sites.

I am assuming that your site – abc.com offer many services and “cheap car” is such service. You can go ahead and create a folder and then put all the pages related to cheap cars in that folder. But if you only offer cheap cars, there is no point in creating a folder just for the sake of adding keywords in the URL. Of course, having the keywords in the URL does help but that does not mean that we should go extreme.

Ok, if you are confident that the 5 articles are good enough to cover those 40 articles which are not that great in quality, you can go ahead and delete them and then make a 301 redirection. However, if some of them are having good ranks, I would suggest retaining the article and making changes in the body content. Choice is yours.
