Massive Google Search Spam
thanks for the reply. I can understand your point but the issue is that there are hundreds of sites for each of hundreds of keywords. It is almost impossible to contact the webmasters and report that their sites are hacked. They also keep on adding new sites

How to build links to landing pages?
We have already tried that but what happens is, when an infographic is published on a blog page and embed code points to another internal landing page then people don’t really use that embed code. Most of the links we get from infographics point to our home page because bloggers do alter embed codes and prefer to link to infographic post and home page. As you know infographic images are generally large and if we try to add infographic to our existing landing page then page size will further increase which won’t be good for the user experience and can also affect page load time. Can you please give reference of some landing pages which are using infographics so that we can analyze those further ? Thanks,

How much important is the connection between content and backlink relevancy?
Google uses some complex algorithms to determine topical relevance, so I don't think anyone can tell you exactly which keywords Google thinks are related (although things like the Adwords tool and search suggest can provide hints). Your example seems pretty relevant though, given that both sites are both about cell phones. Even if a site is not relevant, it can still pass valuable link juice, as long as it's not done in a spammy manner. My advice is not to stress over a single backlink and work on a strategy for building lots of links from both relevant and non-relevant sources.

Can we publish two guest posts on one domain with same pen name but different linking website?
I feel it would depend on the nature of the posts. I am the one who is in charge of YouMoz posts for SEOmoz. I'm happy to post two great posts from the same author that link to different URLs, provided they are great posts and it's a relevant link. If I see a post that starts out with "While I was talking with my coworkers at my custom shoe design store I thought of this great way to do x" and a second post with "I went to the mall and someone commented on my sparkly shoes and it made me think of y" neither are getting posted as-is because it's just a forced link drop that has no relevance to the post.

Google Webmaster Tools notice of detected unnatural links
I did a quick check of your backlinks and noticed two red flags: Most of your links use keyword anchor texts. Natural link profiles tend to use more brand and url anchor texts. I saw a bunch of forum signature and profile page links that may have been mass created. Definitely a spammy type of link. Hope that helps!

Does this count as Copied Content ?
It is not that copysace always shows 30% match . Normally it is between 8% to 15% but the source is always mentioned with proper details. Please tell me if it counts as duplicated content from Search Engine point of view or not. Are Google Algorithms intelligent enough to understand that copied content is used only for reference and not to steal anyone's work ? Can google understand the intent of copied content if source of original content is also mentioned ? Thanks,

Home Page Optimization For Wordpress Blog
You can edit the index template inside of wordpress to ensure you have the right H1 and add in some static features. There are not any complete posts that I can find outlining this, but if you know some html and know how to search, I am sure you can make the necessary changes. I'd change: H1 (find feature to identify any current ones and change them, the add your own to the top of the page) Static text (use a plugin for the side bar or just add a blurb above the excerpts that describes what the site is about) That should be all you need.

Directory submission after Google panda update
1. It really depends on your site. I usually send it to the home page if it's a local site with 5-20 pages. 2. If the links are in the same category, the only downfall would be that pagerank is split up to your two different pages. It's good for users and crawlers though. 3. Stick to high quality directories (dir.yahoo.com, botw.org, business.com), you'll spend more, but it will be worth it. Combine them with some niche directories and natural link building and you should be ranking with little problem on a moderately competitive keyword.

Should i Change On Page Optimization ?
It all depends on where you want to drive your traffic due to what you think your customers will get the most value from. Even with tweaks, your homepage may never be as relevant for "computer monitoring software" as your pc-monitoring-software page. Yes, SEO is important, and it seems to me that you've got the basics down; but you always want to think what will make the customer the happiest as that's usually the best SEO answer too.

Should we BackLink to Guest Post ?
Great point Ann. Obviously a lot depends on the motive when it comes to link building and in the real world you can't just measure your return on investment by the number of links... I suspect that building connections between your own guest posts also increases the chances that people will want to find out more about what you have to say than if they just read one post somewhere. Pitty you can't see the path people have travelled to arrive on your site beyond the immediate referrer.
