Rank Tracking URLs from specific locations
Hey There! Yes, you can set URL tracking via neighborhood or zipcode in Moz Pro. The one thing is, the results of this type of tracking will show you the pages that rank highest from that locale. We can't necessarily pair it with one particular landing page, as we will just pull in the page that is ranking highest for the keyword, but there is definitely this more localized option available. I should also add the proviso here that, in some cases, you may only be able to narrow the search down to the city instead of drilling down to the zip or neighborhood. You can read more about this here: https://moz.com/help/guides/moz-pro-overview/rankings/add-and-manage-keywords/local-keywords https://moz.com/blog/local-rankings-in-moz-analytics Hope this helps and that you'll give it a try!

How to perform a search as though you are in a local city
I recommend this thread over at Linda Buquet's forum that was created when Google removed the location search from main search: http://www.localsearchforum.com/google-local-important/38549-9-tools-hacks-emulate-google-search-location-since-setting-gone.html

Massive drop in rankings alert!
Hi Rebecca, Yes the content on each city is unique (not great, but unique). When they were on subdomains they were absolute replicas of each other apart from city name switches and maybe some short intro text, but other than that, complete copies. Now those old subdomains get forwarded on to each new subfolder page so; city-location.maincompany.com gets forwarded to maincompany.com/uk/city-location/ Alex

Should my commerce store be on a separate domain to my main website
Hi It will be the same as putting on the main domain. It will get crawled as part of the main site. Blogs tend to site on sub domains, so start with www.blog.xxxx.com or the shop could be www.shop.xxxx.com Bruce

Where to start with pricing and how to present what you will be doing to clients
**"JavaScript / CSS / Flash **__optimisation" point is an interesting one. What would you be doing here? Is this to speed up the site load times or to correct things that make for a bad user experience within their site?

Local search ranking tips needed
Hi Jo Ann, Local is not about how many websites you have, but how many physical locations a business has. So, one business location = one local listing. If you've got 2 business locations and they each have a unique phone number, that = 2 listings. You can created these listings via the old Google Places dashboard, and that will automatically generate Google+ Local pages, but multi-location businesses cannot merge the social features of a Google+ Business Page with their Google+ Local page at this point. Hope this helps!

How to get organized for Freelance SEO
Haha no worries Alex, we've all been there! My first step is to usually create a work process for each SEO related task I'll need, for example: http://www.popvia.com/work-processes/guest-post-acquisition-and-follow-up/ How are you planning on billing? Monthly Per hour What KPIs are you using to determine campaign success? Traffic Conversions/Sales What tools are you going to use for? Rank Checking/Error Checking (SEO Moz assumed) Quick 404 error checking Task management (try trello) Let me know a little bit more about what you are looking for and we can build upon your questions. Should I buy a .co domain if my preferred .com and .co.uk domain are taken by other companies?
Just to add a couple quick points to the good answers above: It's not possible to use the underscore "_" in domain names - not a legal character. As far as using the .co because the .com and .co.uk are already in use - bad idea for another reason. The reality is most people are still not familiar the.co TLD (probably a bit more so in UK where they're already used to hearing .co.uk) This means a huge number of your potential customers will accidentally type in (when going direct in the browser's URL bar and when linking from their own sites) the more common TLD, resulting in your hard promotional work sending your business to your competitors. Not to mention the massive headaches when email addresses are accidentally written with the wrong domain ending. The .co is an interesting addition, but it's still way too far out of the mainstream to risk as your primary domain at this stage, IMO. Paul

#hashtag Anchor text within content
Hi Alex, Matt is absolutely right - engines ignore everything to the right of the hash (properly called a "named anchor" or "URL fragment"). They ignore fragments for the reason you just described. Fragments have traditionally been used in web design to build "table of contents" navigation that drops a user down the page to a specific position on the page, whether a different section, or a specific user's comment, etc. If a page has 10 sections with 10 corresponding fragments, obviously the engine just wants to index the root URL, rather than waste time and money indexing all the fragments, which would be duplicates of the root URL. Fragments can be very useful for visitors who want to link to a specific part of a long article, or directly to a comment they made. There is no problem whatsoever with using lots of fragments for in-page navigation.
