Open Site Explorer: Facebook Shares, Likes, etc.
Yea, what I'm thinking I'll do is now that I've got the base of fans just focus more attention on getting them to now 'Like' the URL. Shouldn't be too difficult & will help to increase our 'SEO' worthy likes. Up until now, I just never new there was a difference, so thanks for the insight, huge help!

Blog vs. News/Editorial Layout?
What analytic tools do you use? We currently have Google Analytics, but I'm familiar with KissMetrics & Crazyegg, do either of those make this process easier to measure?

Finding/Building Content Strategy
Ok, I think I've got a good outline of what needs to be done. I guess I left out one thing in my question, is that I'm not going to be the one putting together the content. Do you have any suggestions on how to hire or train someone a good content author? Or any good services that I should look into?

Blog Repost?
I simply update the content of the post and change the date/time. This works if you do not have date or time as part of the post URL.

PSD To Wordpress Conversion?
I'm a big fan of the Genesis platform for Wordpress. The developers that Studiopress recommends on their site are all highly qualified and can do this for you. They can also produce a responsive theme if asked. There is a huge difference between Wordpress themes and quality really counts. http://www.studiopress.com/showcase

Google Re-Index or multiple 301 Redirects on the server?
100's or redirects is no big deal from a server load point of view, so personally I would unless there was a good reason not too. Assuming you believe the ranking factors of the existing pages to be good, I would transfer those factors to the new url by using 301 redirects. Depending on the structure of the redirects you are doing, you may be able to use regular expressions to simplify the process. You may want to take a look at the SEOMoz best practices article on redirection if you haven't seen it http://www.seomoz.org/learn-seo/redirection

100K Webmaster Central Not Found Links?
Ya, I read through that article yesterday & see that they recommend the same setting as the Yoast plugin should be doing? Although I didn't ever get a response from me to see if there is something missing? For now, I plan on adding this to the robots.txt file & see what results I get? Do you know the time frame that it takes to get the updates in GWT? Will this update within a few weeks or would it take longer than that? Thanks for all the help! BJ

Sponsored Blog Posts?
Ohh. I get it now. I really don't see how that would be violating Google's ToS. You're doing reviews of products on your blog and you're linking out to the brands / products you review? You're getting paid to do this? I think as long as you're getting paid to do real, objective reviews I don't see how Google would care. I think you have a reasonable defense if anything ever came up, but I doubt it would. Google shouldn't pick on your site as long as you don't do anything silly.

301 redirect from .html to non .html?
Sha, I wanted to send a quick update & see if we're on the right track? After implementing this 301 redirect, I'm seeing a few negatives, but also a few positives & would appreciate your feedback: Concerns: Google Organic Traffic has dropped by 26.65% since we implemented the redirect (12 Days). Top Content Pages From Search Traffic has dropped from a weekly average of 1,500 pages to 998. I've segmented the Analytics to see if I had more or less pages that were driving traffic to my site (Organic Only). Positives: Bing Organic Traffic is up 32.15% although not substantial for our overall traffic, but it has increased. Yahoo Organic Traffic is up 26.53% less traffic than Bing, so not substantial. Webmaster Tools Pages crawled per day: http://screencast.com/t/krkD69bj3mG we've had a huge spike, which I'm assuming is a good thing & a direct correlation to the 301 redirect. All this being said, are we on the right track? The initial traffic loss had me worried, but after seeing the crawl stats it gave me hope? Do i just need to be more patient to see this through? Are we missing anything, or is this what you would expect? Thanks, BJ

Duplicate Page Titles?
It sounds like each author page is reproducing the articles written by the author, or snippets of the article. It's up to you how to best present the author pages for your site's visitors. I would suggest simply offering a title list of their articles. Perhaps a 100-word snippet for their latest or most popular article may be helpful as well. If you currently are having pagination due to trying to offer snippets for every article, this approach can make the pages more useful for visitors and resolve the duplicate title issue. If you decide you like your pages as-is, or if you still have pagination after making the adjustment, adding "Page - 2" and so forth to your pages should resolve the unique title issue.
