RE: HTTPS site, server root Robots.txt and Crawl errors
If you want to stop Rogerbot from crawling those pages use the following command:
- User-agent: rogerbot
- Disallow: < Type your webpages >
Afterwards, you can test it with the research tools and crawl the site.
Hope this helps.

RE: Index page
It will be duplicate content because you will have two or more duplicate versions of a webpage appear on different URLs.
Quoting Dr. Pete:
"In Google’s eyes, it doesn’t matter whether the pages have extensions (“.php”), the home-page is at the root (“/”) or at index.php, or even if every page is being driven off of one physical template. There are four unique URLs, and that means there are four pages. If Google can crawl them all, they’ll all be indexed (usually)."

RE: Feedburner not showing my feed
Streetwise,
I can see your feed in Google Reader. No issues here.
-
RE: Feedburner email subscription question
All you need to do is go to feedburner and click on the "monetize" tab. From there link your adsense account.
In the adsense account you can go to "my ads". In that tab there is a section called "my feeds". You can select which feed you want to monetize.
Hope this helps.

RE: Link Manager
Jon,
For link management I use buzzstream.com. It's affordable and pretty decent. Better than using an Excel spreadsheet.
-
RE: Hidden text that's not really "hidden" - seo
I agree with Host1.
Stay away from these practices.

RE: How Long Does It Take For opensiteexplorer.org To Find Links Ive Been Building?
Usually it takes about 30 days or so.
Below are two links regarding the OSE update schedule:

RE: Best keyword research software / approach for blogging?
I use market samurai for keyword research. It' been a solid tool for quite a while.

RE: Prevent average users from copying content and pasting into their websites
I agree with Zachary. The script is good but there is a workaround. Post first. I would also suggest adding some links to interior pages, and to add some branding keywords in your copy.
Scrappers are lazy enough they forget to read the whole article.

RE: Frames?
Weebly is fine. The frame your are worried about are html iframe tags. An IFrame (Inline Frame) is an HTML document embedded inside another HTML document on a website.

RE: Finding specific name to send email to: Broken Link Building
I use BuzzStrem. It is great for finding all the contact info of people I try to reach. I also use rapportive plugging on gmail if I know the domain and the name of the person, but no email.
This is a good SeoMoz article on how to use some tools to find contact information.

RE: Keyword Difficulty Scores for Your Terms
Matthew,
I would go for anything less than 40%. SeoMoz has a good descriptions in the Keyword Analysis Page of what each percentage range means. Maybe this can help you access what you can tackle.

RE: Excel tips or tricks for duplicate content madness?
FMLLC,
I use Excel 2010 so my approach would be as follows:
-
Make a backup copy of your file before you start.
-
You will need to sort each row by value, but Excel has a 3 sort level limit, so you will need to add a macro.
-
Assuming your data starts in A1 and has no header row, Put it in a general module, go back to excel, activate your sheet, then run the macro from Tools=>Macro=>Macros.
Sub SortEachRowHorizontal()
Dim rng As Range, rw As Range
Set rng = Range("A1").CurrentRegion
For Each rw In rng.Rows
rw.Sort Key1:=rw(1), _
order1:=xlAscending, _
Header:=xlNo, _
OrderCustom:=1, _
MatchCase:=False, _
Orientation:=xlLeftToRight
Next
End Sub
- Then Highlight all your cells and then go to Data -> Remove Duplicates
The result should be all unique rows. I hope this helps.

RE: Seo using images
I would also create videos showing specific types of jewelry (rings, chains, etc.) and post them on video sites. Make sure you brand the videos and tags them to your client's site.
-
RE: Duplicate content - wordpress image attachement
Make sure you have your images with unique names and alt tags.

RE: How do I 301 Redirect a complete folder?
I believe this is the way to go: RewriteRule ^OldFolder/?(.*) http://www.yourdomain.com/NewFolder/$1 [R=301,L] The $1 on the end of the URL appends anything extra after /NewFolder/ onto the new dir.

RE: Where should I spend Money on my website?
I would spend it on anything that will produce more profits. I know is a silly response but the truth is that a lot of people do not do that.
I would recommend to invest time and not money in learning SEO. Whether you can do in house SEO for you site in the interim or have good fundamentals to monitor what you are paying for, it will help you in the long run.
You can also use a mix of adwords to help you get sales now while your SEO site matures. Also follow what Brent said.
