Why GSC is showing external links as millions for GEO target website?
Main website xyz.com have only 10K external links while geo target sites xyz.com/ca (which is for Canada) have 100K external links in Google Search Console. Mostly links which are showing as external links for xyz.com/ca are from xyz.com
Ex.-
External links for xyz.com/ca -
xyz.com/contact-us
xyz.com/product
xyz.com/categoryIs it possible? or missed any technique to implement in geo target sites.

You don't need to change canonical for both sites. You should use simply like this -
1. example.com -> Canonical to example.com
2. example.com/nl -> Canonical to example.com/nlBut you need to add alternate tags for all language sites.

1- Add lang tag on header like this -
For Germany -
if you are using English language, use this tag OR if you are using Irish language, use this - <html lang="de-de"></html lang="de-de">For Ireland -
if you are using English language, use this tag <html lang="en-ie">OR if you are using Irish language, use this - <html lang="ga-ie"></html lang="ga-ie"></html lang="en-ie">2- Add alternate tag like this -

If your website's sitemap have your blog's link, simply update your sitemap and ping from here - http://www.google.com/ping?sitemap=https://www.yourdomain.com/sitemap.xml. And if your website's sitemap don't have your blog's link, create new sitemap and submit sitemap in GSC. After that ping from here - http://www.google.com/ping?sitemap=https://www.yourdomain.com/blog/sitemap.xml

RE: Canonical Tags Before HTTPS MIgration
You don't need to add canonical on http server level due to you want to open your site only with https. You should write redirection rule as 301 for http to https. If redirection rule fail, your http server will showing only 404 page. So I don't think so you need to add canonical tag.

Need guidance about using PWA on desktop site. As I know PWA is basically used for mobile site to engage visitor more and let them surf your site like an app.
Would it be good SEO practice to use PWA on desktop site(E-commerce site) by calling everything through Javascript and let google Crawler cache only site logo and Hide everything else?
