Example 1 is mostly correct, but jazy point is that it would be more like this:

5 Nofollows: 0 juice each but 47.5 thrown away (2.5 naturally lost)

5 Follows: 9.5 juice each (47.5 juice total, 2.5 naturally lost)

Total 47.5, with 47.5 thrown out and 5 naturally  lost

This is not always the case, I have notice that alot of zencart sites show like this in the surps, but there in nothing in the source code passing this info ( no rich snippets, no info in the meta tags).  Even when the meta descriptions are done manually, it does not remove it.

Zencart show eg "Displaying 1 to 40 (of 90 products)" on product pages but this is not tagged in anyway, just sitting in the Div.  But in the surps google shows "Products 1 - 40 of 90" so it is not just copying the text on the page, but understanding it and reinterpreting it.

But I think EGOL is making the point, why do you want remove it?  it makes you page stand out of the listings.

I have to disagree with Wesley a little, I don't think nofollow should ever be used on any internal links, as any juice that was going to be passed is then lost (thrown out the window), it is not "saved".  Its better just to "noindex" pages you don't want to rank (as Wesley said).

No follow should only be used for external site links that you don't want to "vouch" for. (eg links from comments section etc)

I think its take a day for the points to be applyed ( I think I thats what happened when I filled mine out)

if there are no links from the main site (or root domain) to the development site, then there is no way to find the sub domain.

Even if it was on the main domain in a sub-folder, but had no internal links to it, the Moz bot could not find it

Its sucks, but they will get caught out eventually (as Christina says it happening already).

Its a temping trick to try and copy, but they have such a head start it would be hard to beat them at there own game.  Best concentrate on white hat backlinks, then when the reckoning comes, you will have the head start on them

how recently has the site been ranking?  Maybe the site got a load of targeted backlinks very quickly  (black hat) and OSE has not picked them up yet.

I have seen this before were the site will rank for a few days ( maybe a week +)  before google realises it spam and dumps it.

google has to see the backlink first, so you can check if the page that the backlink is on has been crawled yet by checking if it has been cached by google or has been cached since the link has been added.

The report will let you what pages that its is a dupe with (where it says "Other URLs" click on the number)

I agree with Tim, Moz's PA/DA is based purely on links  and does not consider spam pages, google's PR (that is shows to the public) is very unreliable.

Google may have missed those links , or maybe have simply devalued them, we just don't know.  But what we do know its the type of practice that google is tying to stop, so someday they might do a big penguin update an start penalizing sites with back links like that.  My own rule would be if is easy for humans to spot then it either easy for the algo to spot or some day the algo will spot it.

Yahoo is directory is different as you pay to be considered to get on their list, so its not a direct pay for a link.  But I think because yahoo is a trusted site they get away with it, I don't think a no name directory would get away with the same trick.  Also I would question how good a yahoo directly really is  (some people this its worth the money, others think its not)

Option 2, but also try and change some of the back links to A/B to point to C  if you can.

I think its really depends on you website and budget.  Some people say its worth it others say its not.  Some get direct traffic from it, but I think most do not (from my own experience I got no direct traffic from it).

I'm not going to say you should not get it,  but for my own point of view  I have no plans currently to get it for my own site

If the page is something like 90% the same then you will get a dupe error warning

Also moz report does not take into account canonical urls

just want to check, does it says that "caribbean-peach" is dupped with "lipstick-plum-red" pages?

if so that's because they are very similar which can trigger a dup warning. Canonical can not fit that as they are different pages.

I would add, at best case scenario its a PR7 page divided by 600+ links, so the actual page authority passed would be very small.  Then consider your link would be at the bottom of that list so you would getting even less, if any.

If its s e-commerce site (selling to the public) that is a very typical pattern, Monday being the busiest day  with the weekend being quieter.

Is your blog  www.yourdomain.com/blog ( ie subfolder)?   or on a different domain or subdomain?

if its a subfolder and its linked to from somewhere on your main site, mozbot should pick it up.

If its a different domain or subdomain then you need to setup a different campaign

1: not sure, but it opens ok.   but if you submit to WMTs it would warn you if there is a problem

2: to my knowledge, its ok to have more than 1 sitemap (seen a few places have 2 with no issue)
