This has happened to some of my geographical rankings too. I'd be really interested if anyone can shed any light as how to reverse it? Thanks

I set up a second 'personal' facebook account using a made up name, I registered the account to a new hotmail type email and shared the login details with everyone in the business.

I don't use the made up personal facebook I just use the business page.

This happened to us a while back last year, we haven't seen a drop in traffic at all to be honest. I've heard from other people who have experienced the same and agreed that traffic hasn't decreased. I suppose it also depends on the nature of your business whether or not people will click through the place page too.

I'm not sure about how to 'get back to organic results' in this situation but I'd be interested if anybody did know how.

We are currently in the process of creating a new website in place of our old site (same URL etc.) We've recently created another website which has the same design/ layout/ pictures and general site architecture as our new site will have. If I was to add alt test to images only on one site would we still be penalised by Google as the sites 'look' the same, event thought they will have completely different URL's and different focusses on a similar topic. Content will be different also, but both sites will focus on a similar subject.

This is a general question, I was wondering if anybody had used content now before, either for content writing or link building. I've had them mentioned to me by a manager but would like to hear the opinions of others too.

Has anybody used anything similar for creating content at all?

I have a well established website that I market as the busness being based in London, how hard would it be for me to start ranking for phrases in America? (An increasing amount of our work is being carried out in America.) What exactly would it entail?

Has anybody else noticed that they are ranking better on 'places' yet they have dropped off in the actual search results? We've had no message through webmaster tools. The same seems to have happened to our competitors.

We think we've done everything correctly, we've uploaded pictures and sorted the categories. Our industry is recruitment. We haven't added a video yet. The strange thing is, our competitors seem to be doing better than use with less optimized pages.

How can we get our Google Place page to rank higher, and how can we then keep it there instead of seeing it bounce around?

We seem to have trouble getting a decent ranking for our places page even though out website ranks well on Google for geographical phrases?
