The answer is yes and no. I wouldn't say there is a DIRECT correlation (i.e. simply having a or <video> object on your page won't increase rankings). However, if you have properly optimized the image/video, then there is addition relevance and context that gets added to the page that would help with rankings.</video>
At an indirect level, visitor would be less likely to bounce back to serps, spend more time on site, have a better user experience and be more likely to link to the website.
It won't be considered unique content as long as the rest of your page is unique (the textual content is what is most important).

There are settings to auto-block people after a certain amount of incorrect logins (or blacklist).
I also recommend changing some Wordpress defaults (like the login/register page) which will help prevent lots of bots.
Haven't heard anything like that before. There are plenty of sites who change more than 20% of a page's content often (news sites, forums, search pages) and aren't penalized.
The only thing you should worry about is if you change more than 20% of the content, Google would recrawl and analyze the text and adjust it's relevance for keyword searches accordingly. So maybe you are getting a lot of traffic from a certain paragraph that you remove when you update the page, your rankings will drop from losing that keyword on the page.

Hmm, how about you remove the 301s from long domain and set canonicals from shortdomain to longdomain. Eventually, shortdomain will be deindexed (or at least mostly deindexed) and then you can 301 to longdomain.
Other search engines use structured data too and wouldn't know if you use the highlighter tool.
I prefer/recommend using structured data in the HTML code. There are lots of generators that will help you create the code you need.

It will however help you avoid the supplemental index... so the page may appear in serps, it just won't rank too well.
I have a client that has the same text for products on his site and on amazon. When he changes the title/heading slightly (e.g. adding a 1 word adjective) on Amazon, both pages appear in serps. However if the title/heading is identical, only the website ranks. - just note that Amazon is a powerhouse of SEO so it may be unreasonable to expect the same results but does give some insight into Google's algorithm.

There is no such thing as an SEO SSL certificate. You just need one that is 2048 bit encryption ideally
Having an entire site as https is not a bad thing... in fact it's recommended by Google.
Its up to you to implement it sitewide or only on pages with secure information being exchanged (checkout, login)
There is a small boost to SEO from https urls but there also might be a small dip in rankings from switching over (and using 301 redirects). In addition, if you mess up the URL transfer, you could hurt yourself so be sure to do a proper site move.

DA = Moz. Much slower crawl rate and index updates so DA will take longer to update. Not to mention you only have 1 backlink in OSE so you really shouldn't be worried about DA. Your 301 redirects seem fine so everything should go smoothly. What more important is what your organic traffic is looking like.
I would noindex the categories or clean them up + optimize them... seems like most categories only have 1 post and the categories have more internal backlinks than the posts.
I would combine categories by brand or something and add a unique paragraph of text to the top with phrase(s) you want to rank for. Alternative is to noindex the categories which should help your posts rank - less duplicate content.

Canonicals should be enough but Google does mess up and the more clues you can give them, the better.
You can also manually tell Google parameter meanings (if you check out your parameter page now in search console, you should see all of the parameters they've detected for you - you can just change their meaning).
I don't see any harm in disallowing parameters via robots.txt. They will still be crawled and internal links followed, just not indexed in serps.
