Can increasing website pages decrease domain authority?
I certainly think that gradually adding pages and focusing on quality will help. The problem is that the devil really is in the details. The size of your current site, the type of pages you currently index, your link profile, the type of niche/industry you're in... all of these things matter, to some degree. So, what works for one site might be a problem for another. Easing into it is definitely going to mitigate your risks, and I think focusing on the most high-impact pages while leaving the other filters/sorts/etc. out of the index is a good idea. Whether this strategy is going to provide real value over the time is the bigger question. Ultimately, I think internal search pages have been devalued a lot, even on reputable sites. I've been through this with a former client - they have a perfectly legitimate business model and provide good value to users, but Google sees them as a directory and much of their index is necessarily search results. Over time, even though they've never been penalized, they've just seen a steady decline, because it takes more than that to rank now.

Can using nofollow on magento layered navigation hurt?
I understand I might be a little late, but I had experienced this issue first hand with a Magento site. Once I added a wildcard exclusion in the robots.txt file my impressions and click improved noticeably.

Magento creating odd URL's, no idea why. GWT reporting 404 errors
We run 2 sites on Magento and I've seen these problems before. Problem 1 - this looks like a link to the privacy page (maybe in the footer?) is missing an initial /. Hence it's not being treated as relative and trying to build it onto the existing URL. Problem 2 - shouldn't be an issue as long page has a canonical tag pointing to itself. I tried one of our pages with index.php/XXXX and it resolved and has a canonical tag pointing to it without index.php.

Constructing the perfect META Title - Ranking vs CTR vs Search Volume
No, not as long as it doesn't get overused. What Google doesn't want you doing is "Cane Beds | Cane Beds for sale | Buy Cane Beds" If you are refering to character count, Keep it as compact as possible, while still being readable. Looks like you have already done the research on what is popular and ranking, now you just need to implement in a SEF and user friendly format. Think of it this way; what would you click on if you were looking for a cane bed? If you arent sure, draft a few examples, and show them to someone else for a few opinions.

Magento: Moz finding URL and URL?p=1 as duplicate. Solution?
This is a popular plugin for managing parameters and faceted navigation in Magento: http://amasty.com/improved-navigation.html. I have read quite a few reviews on this plugin, and it seems to be referenced quite often (however I don't have experience with it). This paired with some robots.txt should do the trick. Hope this helps!

Magento Trailing Slash URL Problem
Ok, so we could canonical the first page in the pagination, that way any links to the pagination would flow juicy juice to the first page. That would make sense, since it would strengthen its ranking as a landing page as well. I think ill implement the canonical and get rid of the content on pagination anyways, just avoid the problem completely. Ace Marty!

Advance SEO: Values accepted in google parameters
I am actually experiencing how those URL parameters work - what I can tell you from this point is that you have to name those parameters more exactly - if you want to exclude the attribute "pgid", "CategoryName" etc. then that`s it what you have to use. You cant use "+", "-", "/" etc. because Google ignores that... an example: if somebody is running an ecommerce store with intershop then the system generates attributes like ";pgid" ... Google cant work with ";" so you can`t exclude this attribute using GWMT As far as I know, Google just can handle the parameter "?"... So whatever comes after your "+" take the next word, to try to exclude those URL`s anyway... You have to be patient: this will take some time to see the effect (if it works!)

Manual submission vs automated submission to social bookmarking sites for blog posts
I really don't see any problems with it based on experience but I would suggest sticking with acquiring eyeballs, engaging and getting them to share if for you instead of having each post getting shared on the same accounts. That "might" be a potential problem down the road, especially if you have a lot of them, including the pliggs..ughh.

Will Using Attributes For Landing Pages In Magento Dilute Page Rank?
Thanks for the heads up on robots.txt. I also think the attribute landing pages will not provide the same user experience as the layered navigation pages. I appreciate you sharing your thoughts on the matter. Cheers!

Short URL's vs Optimised URL's
Hi Kevin, Thank you for contributing your thoughts. I think keywords in URL's are useful in two ways 1. They give an indication to users what the page is about 2. They give an indication to search engines what the page is about Although the keywords "Cane wood furniture for sale" can be used in the Meta Title, H1 tag and onsite content, I don't see any harm in adding them to the URL as an additional indicator, other than the downside of increasing the URL length. So I suppose it depends on whether google gives more preference to keywords in URL's over their length or vice versa

Multi language blog
Hi Akram, Not if you tag them in the right way by using for example the hreflang tags to do this. A lot of Web sites are doing this, they create blog posts and translate them into multiple languages by using sub folders per country. If you would only create these blog posts and don't make them unique to their language, by not making clear which language the blog post is written in it makes it hard for Google to distinguish if your trying to spam (or not). Hope this helps a bit!

XML Sitemap for classifieds
I run a classified site and have different opinion: Submit your individual classified listing pages to site map. Title and descriptions of each classifieds are different and can help you bring long-tail traffic. Submit your individual classified listing images in site map, it will help you bring traffic through image search. Google and everyone else strong recommends to use rel=next and rel=prev rather then putting canonical to the first page. Also don't use both of them together because you will be confusing google. If you have to put canonical then do a canonical to the page minus anyother sort parameters so canonical on page 2 will be pointing to page minus all sort parameters, etc. Hope it helps !

Exact match and Penguin
That's true gold Ryan. I'm trying to add more value to this even if it's difficult. Probably you're making some confusion among the EMD algo, which reduces the value of exactly matching domains, and penguin which affects our linkbuilding strategy. Waht you should try to focus is to create linkable assets and then spreading the word in the channels where you can achieve links. If you're trying to achieve links in a product page (I prefer to point at product categories since product may expire or get out of stock) you may want to propose special offers or if it's difficult to find opinions on it, create an extensive review with a video maybe so users may find it useful and why not, maybe they'll link or share it! Quoting Ryan with the best ending: "Stop building links, start earning them".

Massive 301 Permanant Redirects
I apologize, but I'm going to paint a slightly more grim picture. While there's nothing wrong with 301s, in theory, large-scale URL changes on a new site do carry very real risk, even with a flawless 301 implementation. The 301s won't pass all authority (there is some small loss), and if your site is new enough or not on Google's radar quite enough, you could experience short-term ranking loss while everything gets sorted out. At very large scale, and for the wrong reasons, a massive 301 implementation could even raise red flags with Google. I guess I'd ask two big questions: (1) Why are you changing your URLs so soon? If it's to tweak out some tiny bit of keyword usage and SEO gain, I'd almost never do it on a 2-month-old site. If it's to fix a problem, that's different. (2) Are the category filter pages active in the new structure/design? I'm not clear on why you wouldn't 301-redirect them. My gut feeling is that you're trying to solve a problem with the current URLs, and the solution depends a lot on understanding that problem. Change for change's sake carries a lot of risk for a new site, IMO.

Different website is shown when searched for content
Have a look at the top of the cached page for all the info you need. However, it won't tell you when they added content.

E-commerce store having same content different language pages
Yes my friend, you should not use language translators for the purpose as these translators do a literal translation and mess up the grammar of the language. You can take help of a writer for the corresponding language and have the translation done. Please remember, bad spelling and grammar lead to bad user experience and search engines will not favor websites with bad spellings and grammar. Best regards, Devanur Rafi.
