Hi Deacyde! I just want to make sure—is "laptop bags" the keyword you're optimizing for in the tool? Because unless I'm mistaken, it sounds as if the tool is trying to optimize for "leather shoulder laptop bags."

Completely agree. I'd recommend writing blog posts that will be useful to your visitors, and _if _a link to a product or service page is justified organically, then go ahead. But I really wouldn't recommend shoehorning a link to a landing page into every blog post.

Out of curiosity, would users need to be logged in to be redirected? Or would it be entirely based on the cookie?

I'm admittedly biased, but Moz Local is pretty great.

Since Google will recognize each subdomain as effectively its own site, each one will have to rank on its own terms. la.website.com won't get any benefit from links pointing at sf.website.com, for example.

Personally, I think the subdomains just make things harder.

Fair enough! You're definitely not wrong—the structure you're proposing is absolutely better than the one you're currently using. Whether it's worth it to change things now is up to you. As long as you're aware of the risk and you're confident that it's worth it, I say go for it.
