I never used Yoast before, so I am not sure as to how their Canonical strategy works. One thing I know for sure is that Yoast is not working properly on your site.... Huey- "Scrape" has a negative connotation with original and relevant content. In its purest form it is a waste of time and can only generate problems for your site. But you cant miss the fact that scraping can be an effective way to generate the structure and subject heading for content.........but Donnie is right on the money when it comes to making it relevant to your audience and the visitor. If you arent changing a majority of the content to make it relevant and unique, you are wasting your time. Its like using a set of cliff notes for putting together a paper. Use it as the format and then create unique and relevant content around it. Hope this helps. Mark

@Klarke, that WBF video addresses "link diversity" which is a related but separate topic. IP diversity would address links coming from separate IPs. Often a site owner, especially on shared hosting plans, have a single IP. They can host literally dozens of sites with that IP. When multiple sites link from the same IP, it is an indicator the links are not "independent votes" but rather the same site owner repeatedly "voting" for the same site. In the early 2000s site owners were able to manipulate rankings in this manner. In the mid 2000s, search engines caught on to this type of scheme and began looking for IP diversity. Multiple links from the same IP were treated as less valuable or the links were devalued almost completely. In the late 2000s, the concept of "C-block" diversity became important. IPs take the form of numbers such as XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX where the numbers are seen in the format of AAA.BBB.CCC.DDD. An IP of 150.76.44.255 would have a C block of 44. When IPs were assigned to various web hosts, the C block mostly remained constant. Around 2010, search engines further evolved to keep up with the times. Presently it is easy for anyone to acquire a range of completely different IPs on the same server. Deeper analysis is required to catch manipulation from the same site owner. For example, often the nameserver will reveal other sites on the server, but that information can be manipulated as well. The concept of IP diversity should not be thought about unless you are venturing into black hat SEO in which case your efforts will likely fail. For the relatively few people who get away with it nowadays, there are tons who are caught.

Hi Huey I am agree with Ben's answer 301 redirection is best way to solve this problem. It was happen because your website might be open with or without www. so this code will help you in sticking one domain. RewriteEngine On RewriteBase / RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !www.plugnbuy.com$ [NC] RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.plugnbuy.com/$1 [L,R=301] Write this code in .htaccess file and upload this file in your FTP Server. After applying this code you have to set preferred same domain via Configuration setting in Google webmaster tool.

I think Matt and David is pretty much right but I will make my own comment on this… For Beginners obviously there is no good place to start then SEOmoz guide to SEO Beginners… But if you have done that step then you have to create your website, links, content and almost everything for user and make sure that you are helping user from your efforts…the more you will do work for user the more people will engage with you and you will be able to get top 10 rankings from your desired key phrases… and no Google animal can kill your rankings over night!
