Most of the content on article sites are pure garbage. True unique and useful content takes time and resources to create. This is the content that develops the natural inbound links (link-bait) and appear high in organics. However, I have seen much "non-compelling" content rank high so I guess it is a possible way.

Scraping content can only be beneficial if you can add some value to it. Ask yourself:

          _Who is your audience? _

          Who are you?

          What do you sell?

          What can you offer?

What do you do that no one else does?

Once you understand all these questions, create your content with all the answers in mind. Everyone has to scrape some content for ideas, without reading (scraping) from other sources one can not learn. However you must add some type of quality (something unique) to your content keeping your audience in mind.

            Huey-

"Scrape" has a negative connotation with original and relevant content. In its purest form it is a waste of time and can only generate problems for your site.

But you cant miss the fact that scraping can be an effective way to generate the structure and subject heading for content.........but Donnie is right on the money when it comes to making it relevant to your audience and the visitor. If you arent changing a majority of the content to make it relevant and unique, you are wasting your time. Its like using a set of cliff notes for putting together a paper. Use it as the format and then create unique and relevant content around it.

            Hope this helps.

            Mark
