I own the SERP for my brand name. But i have lot of mini-domains like brandtrends.com and my goal is, to increase the authority of my main domain, and make it more reputable, we write on different niche, we have journalists etc.. the content is completelty different and is completely white hat. I think trends.brand.com maybe i can hire it under brand.com domain, on the top #5 of SERP. What do you mean Davis? it's better to do this or not? Because my mini-domain have PA:40 minimum, and if i have on subdomains, i think it would be better. Tell me your opinion .. THanks

To get into google news you have to convince them that you are in the news business, that you are an "organization", that you are publishing original, news-worthy content and that you are not a guy or two trying to toss pages into their news SERPs. If you have a simple press release getting it into google news will involve going straight to a website that already appears in google news and getting them to feature your story.   A very small number of press release sites can get their releases into google news.  Check with them before you submit to be sure that they can make it happen.

Your employees need to have linked in profiles and need to list your company as their current employer. It is based off members self identifying as your employees.

Search engines do see no-follow links. If it is the link from reputable website then even if it is no-follow it should be helpful.

thats what I do, keep a mix, try to get 80%+ close to the niche.

Title remains the strongest element, internal linking is something people often forget to utilise - and even tiny little things like alt tags on images... PS: There is a new one coming up for 2011 so keep an eye out for that one.

We keep researching the competition and have found that Constant Contact is exceptionally easy to use, Bronto integrates well with all other Social Media / marketing platforms, MailChimp is a joy to work with but Vertical Response just keep cutting their prices!
