I was getting at that, but I wasn't going to outright say it until I knew if he had links pointing there or not. lol

Wordpress Shortcodes Showing in SERPs
Well that's interesting - I see the code for the tags - it's coming out of this class: id="subgenre-tags-raw" style="display:none"> I also see that you have a meta description - this is a stumper! Why not head over to the google webmaster forum and reach out! I'd be very interested to see what they say!

Yahoo Directory Question
Ya, wasn't too sure it would greatly benefit this specific page that I'm trying to rank -- but I imagine it will be an overall good thing for the site.

HTTP Errors in Webmaster Tools
Hey Sha, Sorry for the slow reply. Yes, I checked the URLs that were listed and I didn't actually receive a 403 error. I guess I figured there would be some room for lag time but these errors are over a month old so I thought that was strange.

Saw this on Yoast's blog: "Auto generating a snippet is a "shortcut", and there are no real shortcuts in (WordPress) SEO (none that work anyway)." Question answered

On Page Optimization vs. Anchor Text
I wouldn't say so, if you use brand terms for a specific anchor text terms, and then you join that up with another factor such as an EMD (exact match domain) factor. Connected with correct on page optimization. Then you need to target only a percentage of the natural links you acquire to have the term within the anchor text.

Www vs non-www
Thanks for the detailed response. I checked Open Site Explorer and looks like we should be using the www. Also, I believe that we have some print ads that use www -- good thinking!

Location-based Keyword Targeting
Good judgement prevails on these types of decision. Google does not offer a handbook that says "60% of the content must be original to the page". There isn't even any guideline offered. What I would share is most of a web page should be original content. You can provide a paragraph on your services, additional information on your coverage area which would be unique to the page, testimonials from customers in that area, andspecific examples of customers in that area such as "we provide services for Washington Elementary School located in Denver". User generated content such as comments are very helpful. Engage your customers and ask for feedback.

Type of redirect?
The 301 cancellation itself is immediate. It may take time for search engines to crawl your site and notice the change on any given page.

PPC Campaign Setup Fee - Fair?
Thanks for the advice. I agree that someone who knows our business would have a better chance of optimizing our campaigns -- just not sure if we have the resources to accomplish this. As far as the work required by the agency, it would involve only the campaign setup (research & building the campaigns) and optimization after introduction. They will not be doing any landing page optimization. I guess I feel $2k is a high setup fee to charge when the monthly ad spend is only $2k. I'm not too worried about the $750 management fee, which is the fee that will be applied to the agency's optimization efforts -- but if the traffic is only enough to recommend $2k in ad spend, are they really doing $2k worth of "setup" work? I guess if we had a higher ad spend, it might make more sense to start the campaign, since the setup efforts would remain the same but with a bigger budget.

Landing Page for High Ticket Items
Maybe think in the longer run - it might be worth offering $50 voucher towards car seats for the family model car. $100 voucher to babys'r'us for the younger family demographic. Whatever gets them in to look at the cars!

Should I Use City Name in URL?
While I have read that the importance of a business name matching the domain name exactly could be deemed extremely beneficial, having the city name in with the appropriate keyword, and proper optimization should make for an extremely strong listing.
