Billy is completely correct. Take a look at Moz's Redirection Guide for more information.

RE: Is putting a manufacturer's product manual on my site in PDF duplicate content
As Bryan said, be safe. It's not the original so use a canonical link element to point to the original (through the http header).

RE: Migration from HTML to Wordpress - SEO Implications?
For long-tail kw positions, generally you will not see a dramatic drop. In fact, many times no drop at all. For some of the more competitive positions, you most likely will see a slight loss. Some companies do see a dramatic drop--but most likely because of other factors. Over time, expect to regain those positions if you focus on ux.
Dan's comments were spot on. I typically launch early on a saturday morning (2am or so) and make sure everything works. If you do launch, and the site blows up, you can always switch the 'a' record to the old site (assuming it is at a different server) and troubleshoot.

RE: Doing SEO for multiple clients, who should make the content?
Yes, the best content is usually generated by someone who knows what they are writing about. However, most clients do not have time to generate content. So I try to get the client to do an interview, write out bullet points, write notes or anything that a good copywriter could take and spin into an informative article. If the content is generated by the client and they are a good writer, that would be ideal but rarely happens.

RE: Keywords dropping
Also, how many organic places. If dropping like a stone over 4-5 pages? Big issue, and drops like this typically have to do w/spammy links pointed to this page as Alan was eluding to.

RE: Manual Action
Yes, the 301 can still impact the new site even if it's not around anymore. If the legacy site had spam, cloaking or etc and is no longer live-- should be relatively straightforward to request a review and getting it resolved. If the legacy site had unnatural links to it, and you 301 to new site, could be lead to issues to the new site. I would most likely take down the 301 and request a review to get resolved. Once resolved, do the 301. Good luck!

RE: Is it possible to know if visitor arrived at the web page via organic search and if so, show some content?
Yes you can via HTTP_REFERER (if using PHP). There are plenty of examples out there.

RE: Prior experience needed?
Along with what was described above, pick up some good books. Here are some of my favorites (including Avinash Kaushik's GA book):
- Art of SEO
- Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Secrets
- Search Engine Marketing, Inc.
- Inbound Marketing and SEO: Insights from the Moz Blog
- Google Semantic Search
- Web Analytics 2.0
Yes, I realize Rand has contributed to two of the above, but they are good books:)

RE: How to peroperly use h1 , h2 and h3 tag on your website.
H1 should be the main heading and reflect the landing page. It should also be unique to the site (in most cases). H2's should be subheadings, H3's sub-sub headings and so on.

RE: Spider Simulater. Does it work?
Remember this is a simulation of crawling--not ranking (I believe spiders typically do find the home page first because it gets the most inbound links and etc).
I wouldn't worry about it as long as all the major the page shows up...

RE: Using city location in keywords?
In adwords you can use more broad (competitive terms) in a small geographic area for one campaign. And in another use more longer-tail nationally (so if someone is looking for Dallas Luxury Condos in Michigan, the ad will still show even though the ip address is outside of Dallas).
So:
Dallas Area Campaign:
Luxury Real Estate
Luxury CondosNational Campaign
Dallas Luxury Condos
Dallas Luxury Real EstateDefinitely add it in the title of the ad:
Dallas Luxury Condos
Remember, Test, Test, Test....

RE: Why does Google not show my Meta Descriptions Sometimes ?
Matt summed it up nicely. If you rank for a keyword, and that keyword is not in the meta description, Google will sometimes pull the snippet of where the keyword is featured in your content. So, if you decide not to change your meta description you can still try to optimize that snippet to increase ctr in serps.

RE: How long is the google sandbox these days?
Does it even exist? I have seen rankings go crazy after launch. Both resembling a sandbox and also a reverse sandbox. Is it real? I don't know, but remember Matt Cutts historically said "some things in the algorithm that may be perceived as a sandbox that do not apply to all industries".
So, I guess this perception of a sandbox is what we are talking about? I think it's tough to say, but in my experience I would say a couple of weeks to much longer.
I would be interested in what others would say!

RE: Include Site Name in Page Titles or not
Don't agree. Many time you have room for your company or branding and it is a good idea. It's an easy way to gain market awareness. Also, stuffing a ton of kw's in a title can look spammy.

RE: Is this appropriate?
I will tackle the first question, IMHO I don't think these images warrant an 18 or over disclaimer. Considering the product, some may view this as over 18 though. I would see what the competitors are doing in your industry and go from there (do those firms have a disclaimer page, what type of images do they have & etc.)

RE: Should you aim for Google to use your meta tags?
To build on Joram's answer, Google will typically use your meta description if the keyword query is inside of it. If the keyword is not in the meta description, they will grab snippet(s) from the page.

RE: Can anyone tell me if this website was built with Frontpage or another cookie cutter drag and drop website creator by looking at the source code?
I agree with Alexandru.
Another fast way is to look at the favicon. Although this can easily be replaced, if it has that yellow/red/blue/green Joomla icon, it's Joomla.

RE: Ensuring that Google Display my Meta Descriptions
Nope. Typically if a searcher queries a keyword and it's not in your meta description, Google will show snippets of where it is used on your page.

RE: Simple ways to boost Domain Authority
Chris is correct. The best way to increase DA is to get inbound links from popular websites. This is extremely difficult, but if you have good unique content and can get it out to these places, it will boost your DA. Unfortunately, it is not simple at all.

RE: Why is content getting longer?
I hate averages! A landing page should always be dedicated to fulfilling the needs of the visitors. If the visitor requires more information, add it in via inverted pyramid.
