Starting October 2017, Chrome (version 62) will show a “NOT SECURE” warning when users enter text in a form on an HTTP page, and for all HTTP pages in Incognito mode.

The following URLs on your site include text input fields (such as < input type="text" > or < input type="email" >) that will trigger the new Chrome warning. Review these examples to see where these warnings will appear, so that you can take action to help protect users’ data. This list is not exhaustive.

Hey is it best practice to redirect all 404 pages. If the page that was taken down has no inbounds links or a relevant substitute landing page, 404's are fine.

For example if the 404 pages had 0 traffic and no links why would you need to redirect that page? If it has a contextual-relevant landing page, use a 301. Even it has no traffic, it may have organic rankings and/or traffic until it gets dropped from the serps.

Yep, I always try to figure out user's intent and then try to match:  Search Query = Page Title in Serps = Relevant landing page's H1.  Always works great for us!

If the current url's are sef (search engine friendly), and not bugging you, leave as is. If the url path is not sef, just implement 301's to a sef url. URL's do have an impact on ctr's in organics, so it may be worth polishing them up. Good luck!

No, just make sure you do your 301's and you will be ok. I would also try to reach out and get the links updated, but if you don't not a huge deal. Once published, do qa and make sure everything works good.  Here is a great resource  from google and one from MOZ. Good luck!

In theory this will probably work. However, Google is pretty savvy and may catch on. Google regularly crawl these sites and noticed that these links are 404's. All of sudden, these links point to a live domain w/a 301 to a new site. If this a common occurrence, the pattern may be recognized and they take some sort of action. Good luck!

The overall look and feel is critical, but is secondary to content. Create original, compelling and useful content will help you get ranked. To get high rankings, specifically for competitive keywords, will take more than that. So yes, a site that the template is similar to someone else will not matter much as the content. Just make sure the template is responsive and user-friendly. Good luck!

If I create a page about a "Normandy bike tour "and present the same things (pictures, hotels, dates, day by day itinerary, clients reviews, map)  as my competitors can I still rank ? Yes, you can still rank--most likely not very high. However, you should strive for original, compelling content that user's expect to see and find valuable that is different from your competitors to get an edge on them. Think outside the box (a user submitted video, virtual bikeride or etc.). Yes, some of these items are difficult to implement, but that is why doing them will help out as others aren't. Good luck!

Did you check out fiverr? Just filter by reviews and give someone a shot . I heard of some bad experiences on fiverr, but mine were typically always good.

Also, try a local community college. Some of those students are a wiz when it comes to do this and will provide great value.

As Alex & MrWhippy said, if structure urls --regex is best. If you can't use regex and have to redirect that many, will impact speed of the site. You can do it w/the include directive in httpd.conf.  Good luck.

It is a factor.  In general, It is easier to rank for a keyword on an older domain name than a newer domain name if all things being equal.  However,  great content and the ability to generate inbound links and etc will win in the long run.  Remember, Google's focus is show the most relevant results to the user. A factor of this may take in account that if a website is brand new (a month or so) it may not be as "credible" as a site that has been for a few years. Take a look what Matt Cutts says from awhile ago (should still be applicable).

I don't see a way of doing this accurately. With organic rank fluctuations, seasonality, competition it's near impossible to "hold" a position. However, if you have a position in serps for a specific keyword with little fluctuation and get decent traffic you can establish this as your baseline.  Once the title is updated and appears in the serps, begin monitoring w/search console, analytics or etc. and see if you see any decent jumps.  Some links for additional information: Finding the ROI of Title tag changes using Google's CausalImpact R package,  SEO Split Testing & A Beginner’s Guide to A/B Testing: Effective SEO Landing Pages.
