My Friend, It is different with each website and its different every day.
You can see it in 2 ways.
By setting up and checking your server logs.
Google is showing you how many pages they crawled each day and how long it took them in the Crawl Stats chart in Search Consol (Legacy tools)

I don't have access to the backend and to search console, so it is hard to make a precise determination of what's causing your issue.

Also, the pages they deindexed have mobile issues as you can see here

And I see on brings catch that some pages are blocking the content with a popup.
The about page is now 404 (maybe you did that on purpose to get the index for the others back? )

The way you need to think of this is as a user. If a user gets this redirect, will they feel it is fair, or will they think you redirected them to not a relevant site?
That should guide you because this is the way Google looks at it as well.

Are the two websites related to the content of the new site?
If yes, then its perfectly fine to 301 redirect your old website to the new one; that's what redirects are all about.
If it is unrelated, I would not do it.

Are they only doing car accident cases? I assume that they are doing more.
Doing a folder for the city will allow you to create a hub city page that should link out to different practices for that city, and they should all link back to support the hub page. See how they did it.

I'd like to utilize AMP for faster loading for one of my clients. However, it is essential that this client have chat. My developer is having trouble incorporating chat with AMP, and he claims that it isn't possible to integrate the two.
Can anyone advise me as to whether this is accurate? If it is true that AMP and chat aren't compatible, are there any solutions to this issue?

You should redirect it as in your first example. A click on any url should reach its destination URL within a single redirect. A chain of redirects is creating problems with speed and crawl efficiency.
Every page should be redirected to it's corresponding https page directly.

I would appreciate if you could share with me your insight and advise on how to run SEO and UX experiments.
How do we set up the proper benchmark and control groups, what tools to use? How can we ensure that the changes we see are not due to other factors and what difference is needed to confirm our findings?
Some of the things I would like to test is if certain words in the title tag can correlate with higher CTR or with lower bounce rates. I would also like to quickly test if the common best practices only 1 h1 etc have any effect on rankings at all.

Working on a new website in the credit card industry - I have read the HubSpot blogs for years; Loving it. Even used their CRM and I liked it too.
I have always used the free and lovely WordPress. If I understand well the HubSpot CMS pricing is starting in the $12K range, so I really want to know about their CMS. What do we gain from it more than free CMS that should make it worth that hefty pricing? Thier sales team was not too helpful over chat to help me understand that, and I remain confused....
