Why not target those blogs for those keywords and try to rank the specific blog's page for your target? In this scenario, it is vital that your blog is housed on your subdomain and not on some other platform. I contend you should be doing this with your primary blog regardless. This way that blog page will rank for said keyword, and it will land on your domain which will then allow users to browse your site as needed.  Your domain picks up keyword ranking and the user finds what they want. Win - win.

If this is true, just ignore it. But look closely at it because this sounds fishy to me. I've never heard of these being incorrect. Duplicate title tags aren't necessarily deal breakers from Google's standpoint. More of a usability issue I'd say.

I don't see why not. Roger should follow your redirects just like any bot would. I'm assuming your campaign is still reporting normal stats? OSE working with the old domain, advising that it's redirecting?

As far as I know, you will have to delete the campaign and start over. But I must ask.. did your client not redirect the domain?

I think, and correct me if I'm wrong Dan, you guys are misunderstanding the question.

He means that if you do actually create a 404 page for all your broken links to land on, will the juice pass from there to your domain (housing the 404 page) and on to whatever internal links you've built into said 404 page.

The answer, I think, is no. Reason for this is 404 is a status code returned before the 404 page is produced. Link juice can pass through either links (200) or redirects (301).

There isn't really any significance to that as far as I'm concerned. You can go here **http://support.google.com/webmasters/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=1663691 **and request it's removal, but I wouldn't bother. Who looks at that? Certainly nobody I know. I could be mistaken here... I'll be interested to see what somebody else says. Personally I'd leave it alone and move on.

Yes the descriptions all need some work. Write them as a tagline to get the potential client to click on your page. Forget about keywords as Google doesn't factor these in. This is your chance to set your link apart from the others: write something enticing for each page to get the user to click your link instead of the other one.

Unsure what works? Google something and without thinking about it, click the one that appeals to you. Go back to the SERPs and read the description.. try to decide what it was about the listing that made you click it.

What makes you think they haven't crawled your site? From what I see, they most certainly have. For example, searching for your domain name shows your current META description (which IMHO is very weak by the way, you should consider making it more readable and less like a keyword-stuffing...keywords carry no weight in the meta description). Also, I grabbed a sentence out of the middle of your site and googled it and the page showed in the SERPs just as it should.

It's definitely indexed by Google... What is it you're looking at or for?

as long as you're redirecting, there really isn't anything to consider.

Personally I find myself wondering "why?" Especially the .us domain... Doesn't really make sense to me but I'm sure you have your reasons.

I haven't personally encountered this before. Do you have any site errors or warnings popping up? Is your Analytics account reporting traffic and queries? What's your robots file up to?

Those are the first three questions that come to mind..

Well yes of course it's worth pursuing it is what SEO is all about, is it not? It is essentially the method with which you introduce new visitors to your brand and familiarize them with your product or service.

Your question isn't as simple as you are making it out to be here, unfortunately. But if you want a simple answer, I'll give you an acronym: SEO. Determine the keywords you want to rank for organically that would be relevant and bring people to your site that would actually be interested in what you offer. Target those keywords, build links, build content, deliver. If this doesn't really make sense I would suggest reading up some more on beginner's SEO and just get a basic understanding of the trade, but essentially you need to rank better for keywords that:

a) people are searching for and
b) are relevant to your site.

(Hint: to do keyword research, check out your Google Webmaster Tools!)

Why is your menu on the landing page? Can't you put it on it's own page?

Because yes, this will impact your on-page optimization. Some people have different beliefs in how much weight these things carry, but I personally believe it makes all the difference in the world. I'd put that menu on it's own page.

Time to SEO it up!

No I don't think you should worry about this at all. Yes, link juice is passing to those social media sites but this is a good thing. This does not affect your PR by any means, it just means what juice that has entered your site will also enter (at a degenerated rate) the social pages. But that doesn't mean the link juice passing on is decreasing the juice that originally came to your site.. Does this make sense? Link juice is a confusing concept.

It drips into your site, and then drips into external links, but that drip doesn't empty your pool... bah. I think the juice reference is what's confusing about this because why wouldn't juice move on and leave?! But it doesn't. In other words, let juice flow to your social media pages. That's a good thing. It means those pages will start to rank better as well further promoting your brand. Especially for a company like yours where I think you could really capitalize from a strong/hip social media presence.

As for having the repeat links... It's really up to you. Clearly, as I said, your site is heavily reliant on social media so perhaps it makes sense. Google Analytics can tell you where people are clicking..perhaps you should look at that and see if people are actually clicking your footer links. But I wouldn't spend too much time worrying about this it isn't going to penalize you by any means.

You actually have 10 social media links on each page. 5 in header, 5 in footer. Screaming Frog will tell you this although I hear the software isn't free anymore..

But just as Federico did, simply looking at your page tells me the same. It's definitely the social media links.

My question would be twofold:

1. do you really need to repeat those links?

2. why do you care how many external links your site carries?

These people are all correct.

I'd just like to add that while it is important to use your keyword early in the title it is also important to make your page title readable. Remember, the page title is the first thing people will see and it is what they will click on to go to your site. In your case, the page title mentioned looks spammy and unreal to me. I simply would not click it no matter where it was ranked in Google.

Think from an average user's perspective -

You type in what you're searching for

A list of websites come up on your screen

Now you have to choose which one to click. Do you choose the top one just because it's first? Not necessarily. You will most likely quickly scan the area to see which one sounds reputable or the most relevant to what you want.

If I was looking for a sci fi book and saw a title the said

"SCI FI FANTASY FICTION BOOK NOVEL | CLICK FOR SCI FI"

above one that said

"Sci fi novels and fantasy fiction books: the Ultimate Resource"

There's no question I'd click the second one. So keep that in mind too. Go search for something you want and click on the website you think looks best without thinking about it. Then go back and re-read the page title and determine what it was about that title that got your click. Voila.

No you're fine. You're correct that it will recognize them as duplicate content, but you won't have any longstanding effects if you put that redirect into place.

Just go ahead with the 301 and forget all about it. Next time, drop those redirects day one. No harm done.
