I'd like to comment here that while I have no idea if Robert read the entire post or not, I can say that that does happen often on our blog. I can't tell you how often someone comments on the blog and they clearly haven't actually read the post. Drives me batty.

Wow, that's quite the headline! I'm not going to dive into that post itself, but I would like to make the point that people counter what Rand says all the time. It's nothing to get too shocked or worried about, it's quite commonplace.

Hi Vadim! Fun question.

We refer to staffers as Mozzers, I think Thomas made up that Mozzies on his own.
We do only refer to the people who work at Moz, Mozzers. We do have people who are Moz Associates, and they are the ones that help in Q&A, write blog posts, etc. and we would also call them Mozzers. However, we don't have a set word for the Moz Community. I usually just call them Moz friends or Moz community.

Actually, when you get 200 MozPoints the top link in your profile becomes followed, and if you get only 200 MozPoints in a single month you get a free month of PRO.
Once you hit 1000 points you get a T-shirt, at 2000 you get a fun package.We also try to send thank you cards and random fun things when someone has been participating a ton as well.

I love the idea! What it says to me is that people want to see who is active in the community and such. I'm really glad you bring this up because we're trying to come up with ways to do this. While a "Mozzer of the month" may not specifically work, the idea behind it is fabulous. And if there's interest in something like this, we'll definitely start working through some ideas and get more feedback about it from the community!

Topsy is really the closest thing I can think of that does this. Although you'd need to put in a keyword, phrase or URL to see results. But they have tons of data from across the web!

Yikes! I'm so, so sorry about this. We've just sent a "red alert" to the engineering team asking for them to dig deeper into the problem. This is definitely unacceptable for things to be running this slowly.
As Keri mentioned, we are working on a better solution long-term which should go up in a couple weeks. But we'll get on this ASAP to get things running better in the interim.
