Ways to find private - non-indexed forums in a niche
I don't have an answer to this question, but I'd approach it by looking at the major forum software providers and seeing what the default text is that they use for private forums to show to non-users, then search for that text. Some people will change the text, but that may be a starting point for you.

Example of a local "boring-niche" site in a relatively high competition area using strictly white hat tactics
Joe Thanks so much, your succinct and direct response is very valued, especially because it seems like quite a few replies are self-endorsing.

"gimme links" = easy to fill out profile/personal reputation links that offer a do-follow anchor text flexible link
Doesn't seem like you're going to get the response you were after (a list of sites). You might be better off doing a search of a list of profile sites that include a backlink - I know these lists exists - and then do your own research on them using OSE.

Using mlm and 'scammy' websites to identify brand/reputation management opportunities
Nope, in most cases these blogs are owned by people who simply sell links. To be able to sell links, they have to have some content around it and so they start publishing crap - since content quality/ people's opinion is not at all important here. This is where the shady companies you mentioned come in - they create mini "review" sites and get links from these junk blogs. Obviously these are shady companies and they have something to hide which is why they are spending so much effort to bury the negative reviews, rather than go after the root cause of this negative publicity.

Google+ Business Profile, Places, Company, or Brand
This is what I said in my post, was I not clear enough? "Personally I would have a single Google+ account for your business" "You could then add each of your offices to Google Places as separate entities, to target the different areas"

List Quick and Dirty places to seo-tag images/content for new brands
Thanks for your help that's a great idea regarding the blogs - 2 questions, 1. would I just need to alt-tag the image and that's it? or would I have to write a blurb on the blog post to discuss a topic that is related and insert the brand's name into the title of the post, and somewhere in the text as well?

Beaten to death but still have to ask, low comp area spammy directory links
I agree with Anthony. Given the choice between spammy directories and guest blog posts I would go with the blog posts. And I would be willing to do a little work to get them on the best possible blogs.

How long until Social Spam achieves the same notoriety/problem as Link Spam used to be
Maybe they will analyse how many links are put into social posts? If someone just posts with links in them it will treat them as spam. Also I think search will look into sharing how many times something is shared/re-shared/re-tweeted etc? It's a numbers game as Dr Pete said is his last video you have to try and stay ahead as google made 600+ changes to search last year....

How to find article sites that will be very picky
I don't think you will have trouble getting your articles accepted within the directories if you are writing unique, quality content. Ezinearticles.com is probably the best know. I have also used morestar.ca; it's a nice PR4 article directory. I do find most of them are a little too full of 'how to whiten your teeth" articles, but if YOur article is read and gets picked up and syndicated, that's all that matters, right? I would try ezinearticles.com first.

Reciprocal linking with same niche in another country
Hi Ilya My first thought is why would those top ranking sites want to engage in reciprocal linking, what's in it for them! If they are ranking highly, supposedly with authoritive sites, wouldn't make much sense for them to do so. If the link was one way to them, sure, but reciprocal, doubt it. Engaging with authoritive site owners/publishers and building up a relationship over time can lead to a one-way link from them, usually much more valuable than a reciprocal link. I'd suggest spending your valuable time on tasks other than reciprocal linking, the benefits are not usually worth it these days. Create high quality content that others, including those highly ranking sites, would want to link to, then distribute that content well, seed it, engage with others about it, sure, that's a more effective way to acquire those all important authoritive links that matter. If you haven't already read it, a relevant blog post here on SEOmoz entitled "Proving Trust on the Web" is well worth a read. One of the topics mentioned is Links. Time spent Building Trust to help obtain those all important valuable links is usually far more productive and beneficial than participating in reciprocal linking. Regards Simon

Anchor text on outbound links on a blog, relevancy detrimental or positive?
I have never heard that - and I have never experienced it on my sites or those I manage. On the contrary; I think it helps rank a site for a phrase. I do know some people are afraid of linking out, but I am not. When I link out with my target text, one of the messages I am sending Google is " this is my neighborhood, and I am linking to it."

Possibly a dumb question - 301 from a banned domain to new domain with NEW content
You do not want to 301 a penalized domain to a new domain. The correct solution is to take and any all steps necessary to remove the penalty. At that point you can proceed as you wish. If the site is penalized by Google and had it's PR reduced to 0, then a 301 will not pass any PR since your site does not have any to pass. The only thing the 301 can do is let Google know the old penalized domain is related to the new site which is generally not a good thing. The only case where I would 301 a penalized domain to a non-penalized domain is where the following conditions where true: 1. The new domain complies with Google's standards 2. The old domain is being actively corrected so it will comply with Google's standards soon 3. The purpose of the redirect is primarily to move existing traffic and is not related to backlinks.

Getting sites unbanned in bulk
I would not waste my time on those satellite sites. I don't think that they were a good move in the beginning and messing with them now is even a bigger waste of time. Just an opinion. Sell them to your competitor for a good price.

MyBlogGuest+Wordpress+Onlywire = viable semi automatic blogging?
Hi Ilya, We're going through and looking at older, unanswered questions. Did you decide to go ahead and implement any of this combination? Do you have anything helpful from your experiences you could share, or do you still have any questions? Thanks!

Pop up livechat - annoying or better conversions?
I find it annoying. There's one site that has the prompt asking if you if you want to chat show up in the middle of the page (and need to be dismissed) on every page on the site. I avoid using that site if at all possible. As a user, it's nice to have the option to chat now, but prefer that it not be in my face. I don't have any experience with conversion data, however. The searches I did on the web return data from vendors offering the service, so it's biased, but it may provide some insight for you.

Eliminating outbound links for long tail-targeting pages
Yes, when you link to a page that is not indexed from a page that is indexed it will help. The tricky part is getting the currently indexed page re-crawled so it picks up the link to the non indexed page. A good tactic for getting the page recrawled is RSS such as linking to a page from a new blog post. Or tweet the URL to the page.
