They won't negatively impact your rating. The only problem with using them is that your competitors will be able to view what keywords you are trying to rank for, whereas you currently have the upper hand on all your competitors. They are still used in Bing and Yahoo I believe though, so if you are focusing SEO efforts on these search engines then they will be beneficial.

RE: Rankings Report - figures clarifiction
It means that you have 9 further keywords ranking from position 4 - 10.
It specifies the top 3 because, as you know, these are the sought after positions and take the majority of the clicks.

RE: Video Hosting Question - host on website via wistia type solution or upload to youtube and embed?
I went through the same problem as you. I went for the Youtube option, embedded 3 videos onto my site and used the old object code so that my videos would get indexed. It took ages for Google to even acknowledge them, never mind show them on the SERP.
I changed to Wistia, using the free option of 3 videos (it might be 5?) and within less than a week, my videos were returning in the SERP linking to the correct page on my site. My site is also listed for the same page on the same SERP. So in effect, 2 results for my one page on the first page of Google.
My good experience!

RE: Why does moz show "not in top 50" for all my keywords???
It can also take a week from when you sign up to when the keywords eventually show up.
I remember also wondering the same thing only to get an email a few days later saying they had been updated on Moz.
I think this is more likely than them not ranking in the top 50.

RE: SEO for EMD
Hi Carl,
Your content is going to be key, as with all websites. You may get a slight boost from your URL being an EMD but Google is slowly losing that as a ranking factor.
As long as you produce unique, valuable content that is informative and worth while to the user then you should have no real problems. Don't overdo the placement of your keywords in every single spot you can find on your site, if it is relevant then put it in your heading tags, image tags etc.
To summarise:
I would tackle this exactly the same was as a non EMD.
A quote I like to use as a guide for my own work - 'To rank #1 for a keyword, you must deserve to be above all other relevant sites; you must own the best piece of relevant content on the web.'

RE: Thumbs Up to all fellow Mozzers and Thanks for the Free T Shirt
I like to think of it as, contributing what I know to help newer people than me, and taking what I can in a bid to develop my skills and learn from experienced Mozzers!
Thanks for your contribution Irving!

RE: Google: 7 Results on First page now (Good or Bad)?
It's one step closer to Google showing us exactly what we are after, soon enough clicking search will be like clicking the 'I'm feeling lucky!' button.
I can't imagine it effecting the CTR on the homepage as if you are searching for that brand name, then other sites aren't going to be closely related.
Note: If you are using rank checkers, your site will be 3 steps closer to #1 then they say, as they are mostly based around 10 searches per page!

RE: Help with ranking keyword [Example inside]
Hello Jack
I would get all of your products onto the Google Merchant Centre http://www.google.co.uk/merchants and this will start listing your products in the sponsored shop listing at the top of the SERPS
Make sure you have breadcrumbs on your website for each page as you can see nearly all of the sites ranking for that term have them. They help navigation and are useful for the user.
Then make sure you have set up schema for ratings of each products, this will help your listings stand out with stars below your title tag. Something like this http://schema.org/AggregateRating
I would personally list all types of 405 ink on the same page, that is different colours etc instead of having seperate pages for each individual item with very thin content and canonical issues.
You could possibly start commenting on sites like PC Advisor that have talked about your items such as http://www.pcadvisor.co.uk/reviews/printing/3426618/epson-expression-home-xp-405-review/
Just a few ideas that I thought of straight away.

RE: Google Local
KS,
The best place to start will be with Google Places.
And a useful topic to read will be about hitting the top of Google Places
Good luck!
