thanks mr seo, i've just cancelled the php redirtect code.... it must be the source of my seo problems.... anyway, i would like to create different sites, but if somebody would like to see the english version? in that case, should i put a link to the english site? but should i redirect every single page to the corresponding ? or is it better to put a generic link that points to the english home page ? thanks from a jounior

Hello Guido, Google's choice of display for certain queries is often mysterious. And, while you are being organically outranked by the competitor with no apparent local presence, your blended listing is likely drawing more eyes to it because it is special and larger. I would not look at this in terms of you being harmed by your participation in Local, but rather, that you have sent strong local signals to Google that are rewarding you with that very visible blended listing. What makes this a little different is that, for the moment, Google is choosing the display in which a few organic listings are preceding the local/blended ones. But, I do believe your client is better off than his competitor, in this case. Miriam

Hi Guido, Firstly I would perhaps look at changing from a subdomain to a subfolder e.g. http://www.zenucchi.it/poltronafraubrescia or http://www.zenucchi.it/poltrona-frau-brescia There are, of course, certain situations where a subdomain is more appropriate but in your case I believe a subfolder would be more appropriate. You will find that the subfolder will benefit from the added authority of your domain whereas the current subdomain configuration means that you are losing valuable authority here. I would also advise on having a good mix of brand anchor links as well as commercial i.e. have anchors containing Zenucchi or http://www.zenucchi.it as well as poltrona frau brescia. Another thing I would look at improving is your on-page optimization. There are quite a few things you could improve so won't go through everything but I notice you don't have the key term 'poltrona frau brescia' in a h1 tag, maybe consider doing this. Ciao Guido, The first one has a lot of par within the url. I've checked the source of the page and the links is not there - within the code so that is not good. On a quick look it looks like it's not in the index anyway. I don't think it will help on a link building side. It needs a more detailed review but on a first glance i don't think it will help you. The links from http://www.paginegialle.it/ is a no follow link - it won't help with rankings but it could be a good resource from another perspective: referral, branding etc. From an SEO perspective I would't monitor it as it's a waste of time but the links it self is not a waste of time and even if the link is a no follow one it will still help with the ratio of no follow vs followed links so it's ok - just don't spend time on it to monitor and all. we must overcaming them and go first.... the query is poltrona frau brescia ** First of all your competitor looks easy to out rank - you just need more links. It dosen't look like they are doing much on the SEO side. On the other hand it dosen't look like http://poltronafraubrescia.zenucchi.it has a big authority either so it's an open battle. With what page do you want to rank for "poltrona frau brescia" ? Home page or another page ? The home page is light as far as content  so my suggestion would be to builkd a new strong landing page optimized for this keyword - also link this new landing page from the home page too - or from all pages. (especialy since you are pointinglinks to the home page too). If possibile, some new links on the new landing page will help a lot. On a short run, just get some social going on the new landing page - that will give you a temporary boos in rankings until you get the links online. The new landing page, in my opinion, from an SEO point of view should have enough content to be a good resource on the subject ( friendly url with keyword within, h1 and title tag with keyword within but no duplicate of h1 and the title tag as far as text) In bocca al lupo!

thanks marcus, but what made ​​me move the page was was an attempt to improve ranking for that keyword ( in fact having the exact keyword in url should be a benefit ), but if this casue that now i can't work on the link building becouse i'm not sure to be indexed with the new page i'd better come back to the previous situation, isn't it? maybe is faster.... I keep getting inbound links from related sites with high value by asking to be linked with an anchor text with the exact keyword inside.... my aim is to rank first not to create a new site.... my competitor who is now ranked first has lower domain authority but a domain with the keyord inside: turra.poltronafraubrescia.it; the second competitor instead is (  poltronafraubrescia.com ) and now has the second position on google. p.s. ( the only flagship sotre of frau located in brescia is it our, they are simply reseller, and the two domain in the first and second position belong to the same reseller ) thank you very much for the hel that you gave to me... yeah, i agree with you but my question is different ( probably because my english is no good enough ), the page on the previous domain with thin content was ranked fourth, the same on the new third domain in no ranked, not even in 150 position... that's my problem.... hoping that i've explained the problem better i would thank you guido

Hi Guido, Taking  on a new domain to build ranking is not something I'd personally do. When you 301 redirect not all the goodness will pass across so you may lose some ranking in the first instance. Using a 301 redirect on a new domain is usually used when trying to capture the goodness from the backlinks that go to the old domain (only something like 80% will pass - no sure of exact percentage sorry). If you aren't ranking for your keyword targets you need to look at how you have optimized your website. Have you targeted too many keywords on one page? Diluting that keywords communication to search engines can affect ranking ability Have you covered (and include optimized)  title tags, meta descriptions, <h>header tags, alt tags, unique content, internal anchor text links etc</h> Build links to your site from quality websites; ensure these sites are relevant to yours/theirs audience. Don't link to spammy networks or link farms. Add an XML sitemap Review Google Webmaster Tools to ensure that there are no indexing or other issues Good luck

I've checked on bing and yahoo but for the query poltrona frau Brescia the page is no indexed.. however how do I do?  is it better to continue with the link bulding on that page ? maybe should i get linked on the previous ?
