You want to use the pagination tag like the canonical tag it will let you index the pages (sort of) but avoid duplicate content.  Noindexing a site is a bit of a waste of SEO effort when there are other solutions so I'd leave that as a last ditch effort. If you've have unique content on the pages that's better than one (even if its low on the page)

What you don't want to do is make it look like your trying to manipulate your link juice / pagerank internally too much.

Bots can't crawl Flash so unless you have an alt for them they won't follow links.

This may change in the future but for now they wont follow links in flash.

Are you saying that the content on my site is affecting which keywords google will give me in it's places listings?

My response was more a hint towards not worrying too much about the terms and to focus a bit more on an overall user so if you want to target both terms it's not unfeasible to have great pages about both services, responding directly to the questions its difficult to say but in theory yes but its a bit harder than that (sorry I can't help more here) You should definably check out Miriam Ellis response there is some excellent reading to do there.

Can you explain what you mean about the meta description a little more?

it was a hint: Looking at your META description I don't think its working as hard for you as it could be, think about CTR etc. compare it to the Meta's on page 1 etc.

Sorry if its not super helpful SEO especially local is tricky and there is no one thing you can do to make it work well, like what I tried to get with my answer try not to worry about your site as much and think of it what a user may want and work from there.

Is the URL correct on Moz pro?  It also seems like your robots.txt is blocking Moz which you may want to look into.

What it does is tell Google "this page is a duplicate" then Google will only index one page. So in the head you would put the tag pointing to the page you want ranked.

Matt Cutts has said “I wouldn’t stress about this unless the content that you have duplicated is spammy or keyword stuffing.”

So once you've done the canonical I wouldn't stress a great deal about the duplicate content (though I still recommend implementing the rel=canonical tag when possible)

Bit of an obvious one but did you try Moz local? https://moz.com/local/search

1. The bonus of a subdomain is its still sort of linked to your site and can be easier to treat separate (organize) but the con is it doesn't really help boost your main domain

2. having it on your main domain e.g. /docs can help boost your main site (if people link to PDFs etc.) but can obviously increase site size (and sometimes load speeds) and can get a bit messy with orgnaising.

End of the day it comes down to your preference and whats easier for the user there are pros & cons for both personally I tend to lean toward having it on your main domain just to increase its authority and value to users (and thus Google).

Have you dropped down or dropped off - Have you been hit by panda or penguin ? Heard they may have been a refresh very recently

Could you take a screen grab of the problem it might help better.

A 302 is a temp redirect and a 301 is a perm essentially they do the same thing so unless your CMS is really weird I don't see there being a problem between the two. in short I suspect your being fobbed off.

Might be more to it if you've got no sub folders but I'd try giving them a hard nudge.

I read a post by someone offering new top-level domain (TLDs). They made this claim: "Will a new TLD web address automatically be favoured by Google over a .com equivalent? Quite simply, yes it will."

Sorry, but that's just not true, and as an engineer in the search quality team at Google, I feel the need to debunk this misconception. Google has a lot of experience in returning relevant web pages, regardless of the top-level domain (TLD). Google will attempt to rank new TLDs appropriately, but I don't expect a new TLD to get any kind of initial preference over .com, and I wouldn't bet on that happening in the long-term either. If you want to register an entirely new TLD for other reasons, that's your choice, but you shouldn't register a TLD in the mistaken belief that you'll get some sort of boost in search engine rankings.more examples about too.

A manual action is normally on links coming in not going out so you should be safe if you've cleaned your link profile etc.

Have you given enough time for rankings to bounce back? There can be some minor loss when moving but it can be countered with some fresh links to go with the fresh site.

Have you change the structure what I mean by this is the page that was ranking in pos.1 is it very different from the page you have now as changes in content etc. can have effects.

Hi the canonical is great but to reinforce it it's also a good idea to have a link on the page pointing towards the original and it gives Google that shove that its the correct one.

There can be a penalty if one of the sites had one (it can transfer) also there can be some hindrance if the site is different subject matter.  Google is aware of it two domains you will be fine but you can't do it to many domains (I.e there is something stopping you just buying 50 used domains and redirecting them).

in short

• as long as the old domains do not have a penalty
• They are very similar subject matters
• you should be fine

P.s make sure you transfer each page to a very similar one to help maintain maximum transfer or you might loose authority along the way.

No it does not, the other site will also not know you've disavowed them. It's a bit like no-following the link the link is still there but you are telling Google you don't want to pass the link juice or you're not affiliated with that link (sort of).

Was an update end of last month (source - http://blogs.bing.com/webmaster ) not heard anything more recent could be the end of the update or something fresh. I'm afraid all of my tools are pointed towards Google.
