Hi,
Depending on your client niche you can host an event. Events are an easy way to build a lot of links:
"Why are they easy? So long as you have an interesting event that is put on by a legitimate organization, you’re very likely to get accepted by most event listing sites. Many of the event sites require a simple form consisting of an event title, description, when and where the event takes place, and of course, a URL for more information. And as long as your event is valuable to the people that will attend, the outreach portion can be much easier than other link outreach methods."

Sorry guys when I said "link building" I actually meant "link earning". A few answers I got proves Rand point on his video in the Moz Academy in the "link building" section.
The reason we like calling this practice "link earning" rather than "link building" is because link building has a bad association from the past. Historically, link building has been associated with spammy and blackhat practices.
In the same video Rand also says:
This does not mean you should just sit back and wait to be discovered. That's not what we’re talking about. Link earning is a proactive process, but it's not just focused on paying for links or spamming links.
This to do list I am creating is the "Proactive Process", I believe that making goals is part of any successful strategy.
Does any one proactive earning links have any kind of weekly or daily to-do list? What do you have in your list? What do you suggest I should add to mine?
Sure, We will be creating relevant and valuable content to attract, acquire, and engage a clearly defined and understood target audience or in other words we will create content that people want to read.
My question is how to distribute? Do you post 100% of the content you produce in your site?
I am trying to create a weekly link building task list for my team. We are 3 people.
Does any one have any suggestion?
For example:
1 - Write x blog posts.
2 - Comment on x relevant sites.
3 - Outreach x people.
4 - Publish x guest post.
5 - Produce and Distribute x info graphic.
Does any one have any suggestions? what else should I add to the list? How many of each?
Branden thanks for sharing your personal experience, I will give a try on Marin...
Thanks Dana, always good to hear from some one in similar position. I just start the trial I really like the interface too... I want to see how the "Bid Management tool" will behave.
hey guys...
I am trying to figure out the best way of doing PPC. I dont want waste money doing it the less effective way.
So far I have been looking at Acquisio and wordstream.. I am not sure which would be best for me or if there is other options that would be even better.
I am in house in charge of 2 ecommerce websites.
I like http://prweb.com/ -> good price decent service.
Hi,
I didn't get any message on google webmaster but I am trying to figure out if I have any poison link.
I will share here the process I went through, and if someone can tell me if I am doing it right or not I will be thankful.
1 - I went to Google webmaster and click in "links to your site" the number is huge.
2 - I went to open site explorer and the total the links to my site is 10% of the number on google webmaster.
3 - I decided to work with the report in the open site explorer.
4 - I got all the links in open site explorer and used http://tools.seogadget.co.uk/ to check the links.
5 - Only 13 links had the status as "unsafe"..
If the links are not in the open site explorer means that they were already removed? Why the number of links in the google webmaster tool is so big?
I am looking at list of links "unsafe", but for me they don't seems too bad or poison, I will paste here the list of links... what do you guys think about those links? Could those link make my traffic go down?

Hi guys,
I have two websites that are almost the same, I am working to merge them. One domain have authority 44 and other 24... After I merge I will have authority 68?
Should I keep the older domain or the newer? The newer has my keyword in the URL but the older have 10 years.
Thank you
Yes I agree with you, content marketing it's much more complex than seems like, also gets harder depends on your product.
I think the solution for your gardening tools example would be generate "how to" content... In our company we sell tools, recently our copywriter did a post with the title: How it Works and How to Use a Pocket-Hole Jig in the post you can see links to the product page.
Does any one else have real-world application of Content Marketing for E-Commerce Sites?
I think will be very nice if we can get together on this post a few of those examples.
Our company also have two websites, we launch the second website for different reasons than your client, We sell power tools and power tool parts in the second website we want focus more in parts.
The phone number and address it's the same in both sites. We also have many products that are available in both sites.
When we decided to launch the second website we thought that having the same address and phone number could be a problem for our rank. Now 4 months later I don't think it cause any problem. The first website that we had for years still ranking well and improving the rank, our new website is also doing well and progressing fast.
We tried to avoid duplicate content so the product descriptions, about us page, and blog entries are different for each website. Also we didn't include the new site in the local directories.
In my humble opinion as long you have different content in each website the phone number and address wont be a problem.
