We've put together this process over the past year that has shown success when it comes to sites that appear to be hit by Panda.
The idea was to put together a process that would allow us to give our clients an understanding of the problem at hand and metrics we can use to explain how recovery is going.

Infographics are linkable assests! Infographics are valuable for creating opportunities to: develop branding, self promotion, establishing authority on a topic, generating traffic, building links and ultimately increasing search rankings.
They are normally shared on sites such as visual.ly and Pinterest, or they can be embedded in a blog posting to enhance the content.
Maybe try SEozio. SEOzio uses data collected from Google, other free SEO analysis tools, and information from the site to put together a comprehensive report with an overall score. Users can look at individual areas affecting rankings including Link Analysis, Branding, Crawlability, and Site Code. These categories show how each factor contributes to their overall score. You can log in and use the tool as much as you want to discover if your recent SEO tactics are improving the site rankings at all. Its especially useful to look at your site vs. a competitor’s site, to see why they’re ahead of you, whether it’s more backlinks, social, or web code optimized for crawlability.
Smart strategy to employ the use of a newsworthy press release. Online press releases are read by bloggers and journalists. Developing a press release can make all the difference in attracting a variety of viewers and content promoters to start talking.
For the inforgraphics, you should try finding a niche media sharing website.Most types of media have a specific platform or network built up around them. Take advantage of the systems already in place by placing your content there!

Make sure you're organized! Following hundreds means nothing when you don’t take the time to actually use the tweets for anything. The key to using Twitter, and avoiding drowning in the constant feed is to group those you follow into lists. Without organizing the hundreds of accounts I followed, I couldn't make use of the endless content. Organizing the accounts I follow allows me to easily see tweets from a specific group say, local news, or competitors, or local partners etc., without having to scan my entire feed. Taking the initial time to organize the accounts you follow saves you loads of time overall!
Your first go-to resource should be your existing audience, but try going above and beyond on Social Media! Push out your content over the obvious social platforms where you've already built up a following. You can enhance this by tweeting to specific industry experts you want to grab the attention of, joining and posting in Google+ Communities related to your industry, as well posting in professional groups on LinkedIn. You're smart to be looking to redesign your site to enhance search results. If your site is holding you back, you’ll likely need a site redesign before you can achieve good SEO results. Search Engine Optimization should start at the very beginning of a website. Trying to optimize a poorly designed site is a time consuming, inefficient way to go about internet marketing, and it can often yield very poor results.
I agree about adding an "About" section to establish the company. Maybe you could add social share buttons to your blog postings and latest news sections to gain more engagement.

I agree Ben there is an art to creating catchy blog titles. Its extremely important to craft a unique, attention-grabbing title to get readers to click- through to the blog posting.
A good title is the key to enticing more readers! Viewers don’t have time to read every blog post if they’re looking for content on something specific. They will want to know exactly what the content will tell them from the title. If the title doesn't have a promising deliverable, viewers will move onto a blog that does promise exactly what to expect in the content. Viewers aren't going to click on the posting unless they have already been hinted at how reading it will benefit them.

Yeah I agree it's only a matter of time before they're shut down. Just so frustrating to see and causes me to lose a little faith in how far along Google really is with this new playbook. I really like the direction they are going in. Just going to be a while before all the kinks are worked out.
I know I'm not the only one that's seen this. After Penguin 2.0 some obvious blackhat SEOed sites flew up in the rankings. There's obviously a hole that hasn't been closed. I'm surprised it's been a month and that hole still hasn't been patched. I have no problem with other legit companies out ranking ours for various keywords. In that case I can feel alright knowing it's just something they were able to do that I wasn't but when I see complete blackhat sites ranking that's a whole different story.

Pinterest cannot be ignored, its a very valuable platform for brands, business and eCommerce! This platform reaches a wide range of users. Boards can be made to suit everyone’s likes and needs, appealing to users with a wide variety of interests. Its so simple, the more pins a website has, the more traffic it receives. As a pin starts to go viral, the original website receives more and more traffic. More businesses and marketers need to pay attention to the new opportunities on Pinterest!
Yeah that's what I've been hearing from some people. I usually hear one of two things on this subject.
A. Wait till you know for sure that you have a penalty.
OR
B. Take them out now!
It's a shame that Google isn't more forward with which approach should really be taken.
On one of my sites I've noticed some strange links from Google Webmaster Tools recent links feature.
They are pingbacks/blog comments but they are using keyword anchor text and linking to my site. I know we are not doing this. Should I be concerned about this possibly being negative SEO? Here's a sample (be careful, shady site)
