Egol, I just want to make sure I understand this right. My blog is part of my website and is not a subdomain. I have "absolute control over formatting, optimization and appearance". Why would I create separate pages and not use the blog to publish my articles?

Link building plan
If you have only one SEO guy doing link building for you, 6-8 hours a day, with a budget of $1000 -$2000 what would be the best 5 things to concentrate on?
Based on personal experience, could anybody suggest a daily/weekly plan? -
Internal linking best practice
See example:
car rental - sedans - bmw car rental - sedans - audi car rental - sedans - ford
(internal links to sedans - audi, ford) or (internal links to suv - bmw)
car rental - suv - bmw car rental - suv - audi car rental - suv - ford
(internal links to suv- audi, ford) or (internal links to sedans- bmw...)
Should I cross link only between the product page under each category or can I link between different products under different categories? From a user point of view, I think it will give him more options if he wants to choose the same brand but a bigger vehicle although I have read numerous posts saying that we should be internally linking most of the time within the same category. User experience or SEO?

RE: Title tag - shorter = better?
It would be interesting to see some answers from Seomoz; their Title says: SEO Software. Simplified. | SEOmoz. Why would they dilute the first part of their Title? I do not think that "simplified" is one of their key terms.

Title tag - shorter = better?
Is it true that the shorter the Title tag is the more powerful the keywords in it are?
I know that the main keywords have to be at the beginning of the title but, having more words in your Title could dilute the effectiveness of your main keywords?Ex: Dallas limo service | Private car by SelectLimousine.
Could the fact that I have a second part of my title affect the first part by diluting its value? I would like to rank first for Dallas car service but also for Dallas car service and Dallas limousine service. Is this good practice?

RE: Hotbot
Yes, I meant the paid directory listing. You see, one of my competitor is listed on Hotbot and Yahoo, apart from that he has only very low quality links. IMO, my link profile is much better than his and still he ranks better. The truth is, his domain is much older than mine but is that enough to pull ahead of me?

RE: Press release : single or multiple root domains
Do you have any good results with any of them? Would you recommend any?

RE: Will the links coming from an article in certain BLOG / NEWS SITE become a GOOD BackLink?
I completely agree with what you just said but I assume that snippet alone needs to be that....amazing, to be picked up by other, right? I mean there is not much you can share in a snippet, a few sentences maybe an image what about videos? Have you tried link building using any type of video?
Could you share your homepage metrics, just PR, PA and DA.

RE: Will the links coming from an article in certain BLOG / NEWS SITE become a GOOD BackLink?
Indeed it does but, I remember you saying a while ago that it is better to post it first on your own website (speaking of high quality content). What would you do when your own website does not rank as high as you wish to use it for spreading the word about your own press releases? Use the ones above that you just mentioned? What about spending some money and push them through some high quality Press Release websites? What if, the articles are not high quality and you just want some backlinks...

RE: Will the links coming from an article in certain BLOG / NEWS SITE become a GOOD BackLink?
Wouldn't be fair to say that even if your content is absolutely amazing, high quality content, the website that it is published on has to have a relative high PA and DA? How are the search engines going to rank your content if the site itself is not ranking well? How are they (SE) going to ever find it if your are not already among the top 10?

Press release : single or multiple root domains
The question is: if press release is part of your link building strategy, what would you do:
- upload one or two every month using one website as Dr Pete (Seomoz) suggested in an older blog entry?
- upload one or two press releases every month but on different domains.
Suppose all you want is backlinks and you have 40 unique press releases ready to be uploaded, would not be better to get those backlinks from different domains versus just one domain?

RE: Press Release Sites for Backlinks
I was reading this post about press releases where Dr Pete Meyers - a Seomoz Associate, was expressing his opinion about the same subject, here it is:
"I have some smaller clients who have had limited luck with it, but I think it's best to just stick to one of the sites and do periodic releases (maybe every couple of months). If nothing else, it'll give you a sense of what's working, and you can take some of the popular releases and push to get them a broader market.
What I wouldn't do is go after multiple low-value PR services and plaster the same releases everywhere you can. At best, it's diminishing returns - at worst, they'll be devalued. I'm with Peter G. - the best press release opportunities come through relationships with the media. Obviously, though, that takes a lot more time".You opinion is that "repeatedly submitting to a the same few press release sites is not going to be a sustaining source of power. A lot of links on the same site are not as valuable as one link on each of a lot of sites"
I do not want to question your authority or his but there is a difference of opinions from to seasoned contributors. Any thoughts about this Dr Pete? -
RE: Buying a new domain
Hmmm... the only info I found about the domain I want to purchase is this:
Registrar History: 6 registrars with 3 drops NS History: 11 changes on 7 unique name servers over 6 years IP History: 21 changes on 14 unique name servers over 7 years
Can this be a red flag?
On archive.org I could not find this website at all, but neither mine... which is not flagged... is archive.org accurate? Thanks!

RE: Buying a new domain
Thanks for your responses.
I could not find any information about the website I am about to buy. No back-links, not indexed, no history on archive.org... But on domaintools.com I found the following info:Registrar History: 6 registrars with 3 drops NS History: 11 changes on 7 unique name servers over 6 years IP History: 21 changes on 14 unique name servers over 7 years
Should I be concerned about any of these?

Buying a new domain
Hello guys!
We are in process of buying a new domain. How can we be sure that this domain is not blacklisted and are there any steps to take in order to be sure that whatever we are buying is actually in "good shape"?
Thanks much!
